💫 Hi guys, I hope you’re having a beautiful day! Today I bring you another part of our series, the book meme “Down the TBR Hole”which I’m doing hoping that it will help me to reduce the number of books that are in my current TBR.
My plan is to upload this meme every week where. (I’m glad that now you want to see more books in this post so I decided to do 10 books per post instead of 5, not only will it be MUCH more entertaining and fun, because we’ll have more books to talk about, but I’ll also be able to clean my TBR faster which is great!) so, I’ll show you 10 books of which I’ll choose which one I’ll keep or get rid of. I want to make this weekly meme as interactive as possible, so I’ll be consulting a lot with you, to decide what to do. There will be those books which I’ll be interested in (Keep), those which I’ll not be interested in anymore (GO) and those which I’ll not be sure about, and with those, I’ll need your help. So please, let me know all your thoughts in the comments and I’ll be able to take my decision and let you know in the next post. 💫

I’m very happy because I’ve seen that you have participated a lot in the previous post, leaving me your comments, so I’m super excited to continue with this weekly meme.
If you’re doing the same meme right now, let me know so I can check your post out and leave my thoughts there 💖

The Girl of Fire and Thorns (Fire and Thorns #1) by Rae Carson

|| Goodreads ||

Well, I did my research and I thought a little this week about what to do with this book and I came to the conclusion that I don’t think I was going to read it. To be honest, I’ve had it for a long time already and I haven’t thought about it, no even once, I added it because I heard a booktuber talk about it but it’s been a while since then, so I’ll let it go. I still want to read something by the author and for that, I have another one of her works that I think sounds very interesting

☕️ #1 – Firstlife (Everlife #1) by Gena Showalter

|| Goodreads ||

I LOVE the concept and general idea of this book.
In this book life really begins when you die, and that sound extraordinary. I think I remember to start reading it a while ago and then put it down for some reason, but I remember that what I read, I enjoyed, so I feel I could enjoy it. Being honest, I haven’t heard the best things about it, but even so, it’s a promise that I can’t miss, it sounds really cool and I want to try it for myself 😊

☕️ #2 – Paper Princess (The Royals #1) by Erin Watt

|| Goodreads ||

OK this book has reviews that are too awfully entertaining to read, about all: rant reviews.
A while ago I wouldn’t have minded reading a book like this one, but right now I don’t think it’s going to be something I enjoy. I know it’s very popular and many people love it and describe it as their “guilty pleasure”, and that’s great, I really don’t think it should even exist such a thing like a guilty pleasure thing, because if you like the book that’s AMAZING, There’s nothing to feel guilty about.
The thing is, I’m a little tired of reading these unhealthy types of romance, where this super hot guy treats the girl as trash and she falls in love because he’s hot or whatever.
I LOVE romance but I’m at a time in my life where I want to read something else than this kind of “romance”, you know? something deeper and healthier.
I don’t want to offend anyone, I don’t know how this book develops because obviously I haven’t read it, but I’ve read some reviews pointing out really worrying points, which I have no desire to read about like never 🙄

☕️ #3 – Poison Princess (The Arcana Chronicles #1) by Kresley Cole

|| Goodreads ||

I love how this sounds. This book is about a girl who has apocalyptic visions and must find out where they come from, I think it sounds like an old school YA, but at the same time, I think I might like it.
I really like that it focuses on apocalyptic events and the subject of the visions sounds very interesting. I’ve heard that it’s a favorite of many people and that’s great, I know it’s a very long series so I’ll have to embark myself on a very long journey, but I still want to do it. I have great expectations  👍🏻

☕️ #4 – Pawn (The Blackcoat Rebellion #1) by Aimee Carter

|| Goodreads ||

I want to start by saying that I LOVE The Goddess Test, which is the other series of the author, and that’s just why this book is in my TBR. But right now re-reading the blurb, although it sounds good, doesn’t sound really interesting enough to want to read it. Even so, I would like to read more about the author, so if she came out with something new I would surely be reading it 👋🏻

☕️ #5 – The Sin Eater’s Daughter (The Sin Eater’s Daughter #1) by Melinda Salisbury

|| Goodreads ||

This sounds a LOT like Shatter Me!, and the blurb is rather vague so I don’t think it’s something that I’m interested about. You know that I LOVE Shatter Me, but I don’t think it makes sense to read something that sounds so similar.
Besides, I’m not so excited about reading it really, the cover is beautiful so I’m sure that influenced me on adding it to my TBR, but I’m sure this one should go 👋🏻

☕️ #6 – The Crown’s Game (The Crown’s Game #1) by Evelyn Skye

|| Goodreads ||

WOW this sounds so good, I think it’s a Russian inspired fantasy, and I LOVE that. It reminds me of my beloved Grishaverse.
The plot sounds fantastic, I like that there’s magic involved and a fight where the loser will be condemned to death. In addition, Vika the main character sounds like a whole badass. I hope it’s as incredible as it sounds if you have read it please let me know, I would love to hear your opinion. I’ve heard it’s a little slow but I want to try and I’m excited

☕️ #7 – Rebel of the Sands (Rebel of the Sands #1) by Alwyn Hamilton

|| Goodreads ||

I really like that it’s about a strong and fighter girl, this kind of stories tend to like me a lot. Also, the hype is real, I’ve heard so many amazing things and It has been recommended to me a lot. I thought it was a duology but I think it’s a trilogy now, so if I like this one it would be great to continue with the rest of the books 😊

☕️ #8 – And I Darken (The Conqueror’s Saga #1) by Kiersten White

|| Goodreads ||

I feel weird about this book, a part of me really wants to read it, because it sounds brutal, with a lot of action, but lately I haven’t seen good reviews. I remember when it just got out people were crazy about it, but now there are a lot of bad reviews, so I’m not sure what to think.
I think I’ll let you decide what I should do with this book, you have to know that I LOVE The Dark Descent of Elizabeth Frankenstein by the author so I know what to expect in terms of writing, but a little help would be incredible. I’d love to know if you’ve read what you think of the characters and the plot in general

☕️ #9 – Three Dark Crowns (Three Dark Crowns #1) by Kendare Blake

|| Goodreads ||

This book sounds SO INCREDIBLE, I don’t regret having added it to my TBR but I regret not having read it yet. I’ve heard incredible things, but above all, I think the blurb sounds too good to miss. It has kingdoms, princesses, elemental magic and fights for the throne, it’s a perfect combo, so I hope to finally read it this year 💕

☕️ #10 – Walk on Earth a Stranger (The Gold Seer Trilogy #1) by Rae Carson

|| Goodreads ||

This is exactly the other book by the author I mentioned before, which I’m super interested in. The idea that the main character can sense gold is wonderful! Can you imagine how difficult and dangerous it must be to have a gift like this one? I mean, everyone will want to have you on their side and that’s why this book seems so fascinating to me.
I need it in my life soon!. The cover is SO GORGEOUS  😍

  1. I’ve not read And I Darken yet (it’s on my tbr too – in fact it’s in my actual TBR Pile) I’m pretty new to Kiersten White but I loved Slayer so I’m looking forward to her other books I’ve missed. I vote keep.

  2. I loved Walk on Earth a Stranger, but I’ll admit, it reads more like a duology. The third book didn’t even feel needed :/ but the first two books are amazing. I did like girl of fire and thorns but felt like the romance didn’t grab me during the whole series. I also tried the crown’s game and hated it; it felt like a rip off of the night circus but I’m curious to see what you think of it 🙂

    • I’m glad you enjoyed Walk on Earth a Stranger!, it sounds really interesting and original, oh I get what you say, sometimes there are sagas that should have ended sooner
      Oh, I’m sorry you didn’t like The Crown’s Game !, I have to read The Night Circus, though, I’ve heard only incredible things about that book 💕

  3. I have The Crown’s Game on my TBR too! I hope to get to it soon, the cover is so beautiful!
    I’ve read Rebel of the Sands, I really enjoyed it! There are three books… I just had to look it up because I couldn’t remember if I read it! 😛 Now that I’ve looked it up, I really enjoyed the trilogy! 😀 I hope you do too!

  5. This is not the first I’ve heard of FirstLife. (My goodness there’s so much to remember with book blogging, Lol.) Now I want to find that post because I do think this other post did not find favor in this book. It does sound interesting but I’m not a huge YA fan so I’ll stay tuned for your review should you read this. Good luck and good job with the clean up!

  6. Okay I didn’t like Firstlife much because it just keeps circling around the love triangle over and over.

    As for And I Darken, READ IT!!!!! for the love of book goods, read it!

  7. I haven’t read any of these books except And I Darken, which I loved. I adored the second book even more, and even though the third book wasn’t magnificent, I thought it ended fairly well. So, I think it’s all up to you. The first book is a little boring but if you like anything else written by Kiersten White then it might not be boring for you! And I Darken is a slow build up but I think giving it a try to get to the second book is well worth it. Though, I will warn you that it does get pretty brutal with each installment!
