๐ทย Hi guys, I hope you’re having a beautiful day!. Today as you have seen for the title, I bring you my TBR for this Fierce Female Rea-a-Thon, created by Ashley (Falling Down the Book Hole), you have to check her blog out because there will also be some posts from other amazing book bloggers during the whole month, so you can’t miss it.ย This is a Read-a-Thon dedicated entirely to reading books by strong women, is running from February 15 to February 28, and I’m very happy to participate in. If you feel like participating as well, you can join HERE and share your TBR with everyone.
My TBR, as you’ll see, will not be extensive, I’m also participating in the Fantastic February, so it would be impossible to me to read a lot of books as I would like, even so, the ones I’ve chosen, fulfill all the challenges and that’s great. I’m super excited to start showing you my choices so, without further ado, let’s START!๐ทย
The Challenges
Women in Science: 50 Fearless Pioneers Who Changed the World by Rachel Ignotofsky
Itโs a scientific fact: Women rock!ย
A charmingly illustrated and educational book,ย Women in Sciencehighlights the contributions of fifty notable women to the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) from the ancient to the modern world. Full of striking, singular art, this fascinating collection also contains infographics about relevant topics such as lab equipment, rates of women currently working in STEM fields, and an illustrated scientific glossary. The trailblazing women profiled include well-known figures like primatologist Jane Goodall, as well as lesser-known pioneers such as Katherine Johnson, the African-American physicist and mathematician who calculated the trajectory of the 1969 Apollo 11 mission to the moon.ย
Women in Scienceย celebrates the achievements of the intrepid women who have paved the way for the next generation of female engineers, biologists, mathematicians, doctors, astronauts, physicists, and more!

In fact, I’m wanting to read this book from a while now and this is the perfect excuse for. I think that it will be very inspiring and I’ll also learn many things, besides, it looks charming and I’m honestly super happy to read it this month.
This book will go to the challenge of:ย Read a book with “Woman” in the title and Read a book based on women in history
We Should All Be Feminists by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
A personal and powerful essay from Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, the bestselling author of โAmericanahโ and โHalf of a Yellow Sunโ, based on her 2013 TEDx Talk of the same name.
What does โfeminismโ mean today? That is the question at the heart of We Should All Be Feminists, a personal, eloquently-argued essay โ adapted from her much-viewed Tedx talk of the same name โ by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, the award-winning author of โAmericanahโ and โHalf of a Yellow Sunโ. With humour and levity, here Adichie offers readers a unique definition of feminism for the twenty-first century โ one rooted in inclusion and awareness. She shines a light not only on blatant discrimination, but also the more insidious, institutional behaviours that marginalise women around the world, in order to help readers of all walks of life better understand the often masked realities of sexual politics. Throughout, she draws extensively on her own experiences โ in the U.S., in her native Nigeria โ offering an artfully nuanced explanation of why the gender divide is harmful for women and men, alike. Argued in the same observant, witty and clever prose that has made Adichie a best-selling novelist, here is one remarkable authorโs exploration of what it means to be a woman today โ and an of-the-moment rallying cry for why we should all be feminists.

YAY!, finally I’ll be reading this little but powerful book, I’ve heard so many incredible things about it, not only from all of you and the community in general but from friends as well, so, super excited to join to the club.
This book will go to the challenge of:ย Read a book written by a WOC and Reading a book rec. from the community
A Reaper at the Gates (An Ember in the Ashes #3) by Sabaa Tahir
The highly anticipated third book in Sabaa Tahir’sย New York Timesย bestselling EMBER QUARTET.
Beyond the Empire and within it, the threat of war looms ever larger.
The Blood Shrike, Helene Aquilla, is assailed on all sides. Emperor Marcus, haunted by his past, grows increasingly unstable, while the Commandant capitalizes on his madness to bolster her own power. As Helene searches for a way to hold back the approaching darkness, her sister’s life and the lives of all those in the Empire hang in the balance.
Far to the east, Laia of Serra knows the fate of the world lies not in the machinations of the Martial court, but in stopping the Nightbringer. But while hunting for a way to bring him down, Laia faces unexpected threats from those she hoped would aid her, and is drawn into a battle she never thought she’d have to fight.
And in the land between the living and the dead, Elias Veturius has given up his freedom to serve as Soul Catcher. But in doing so, he has vowed himself to an ancient power that will stop at nothing to ensure Elias’s devotion–even at the cost of his humanity.

You already know that I’m dying to continue with this series, the previous book, has such an INCREDIBLE ending, so I’m super excited. I hope it works for the challenge, I thought a lot about it and I think it can work as: Read a book with a fierce female leading a resistance.
Laia and Helene are very strong women and little by little they’re revealing more and more against the Empire so this can be understood as being resisting, right ?. They’re Fierce Female, there’s nothing to say about that lol
Well, this is my TBR for this incredible Read-a-Thon, I’m super excited to share my thoughts on them once I read them
I would love to know your thoughts if you have read any of these books, let me know everything in the comments below ๐ท
