Monthly & Contemporary-A-Thon TBR [2018]

Copia de Copia de Copia de Copia de Copia de Copia de Copia de Copia de SPRINGTIME (5)

🌸 Hi babes! I hope you’re having a great day. Today I bring you my TBR of the month of September, where I tell you about the readings that I’ve planned for this month. I’m super excited for this month I feel it will be super fun with the new experience of participating in a Read-A-Thon and I also feel super motivated to read, I think I’ll have time to do it which makes me very happy, my boyfriend is resuming his reading so that’s great since I can spend my time with him also reading a lit of bit, which I love doing, so I really don’t have excuses not to read as much as I want and finally knock out my TBR.
I’m going to use this month to read a lot because I know that I’ll be busy in October as I plan many renovations in my house, painting and that kind of thing and with work will be a bit crazy and I don’t know if I can read that much, but I’ll see how I manage. Meanwhile I’m really excited by my readings this month in general and I can’t wait to tell you the readings that I reserve for the Contemporary-A-Thon!

I’ll be reading a couple of books that I’ve wanted to read since ever, a re-reading, a couple of new releases, an ARC and something completely new for me, so without further ado let’s start!🌸

The Cheerleaders by Kara Thomas

30969755There are no more cheerleaders in the town of Sunnybrook.

First there was the car accident—two girls gone after hitting a tree on a rainy night. Not long after, the murders happened. Those two girls were killed by the man next door. The police shot him, so no one will ever know why he did it. Monica’s sister was the last cheerleader to die. After her suicide, Sunnybrook High disbanded the cheer squad. No one wanted to be reminded of the girls they lost.

That was five years ago. Now the faculty and students at Sunnybrook High want to remember the lost cheerleaders. But for Monica, it’s not that easy. She just wants to forget. Only, Monica’s world is starting to unravel. There are the letters in her stepdad’s desk, an unearthed, years-old cell phone, a strange new friend at school. . . . Whatever happened five years ago isn’t over. Some people in town know more than they’re saying. And somehow Monica is at the center of it all.

There are no more cheerleaders in Sunnybrook, but that doesn’t mean anyone else is safe.

  1. The book I really want to read this month is HP6 and Rich People Problems- it will be nice to have a progress in my reread and get a series off my list! When I read the prompt for dark/taboo love story, the first one that pops into my mind is Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma, which is about incest. It can’t get darker and more taboo than that!

  2. Good luck with the Contemporary-A-Thon! I’m also participating and I’m so excited to kick it off already 😀

Weirdly, I read Giant Days vol 1 in the first round of CAT. I didn’t really enjoy it but I hope you do 🙂 I also LOVED Everything Leads to You when I read it last year so I’m excited to hear what you think.

  4. TATBILB consumed my entire life in August. I had ignored it for so long and am so glad that some part of my brain refused to watch the film before I had read it! Also, I nearly picked up The Cheerleaders once when I was in a bookshop buying books that I really shouldn’t have been buying and was intrigued, would be interested to know what you thought of it!
