Recommendation Post | Cry-Worthy & Heart-Touching Young Adult Contemporary Books – Part #1 ๐Ÿ’ง

ย ๐Ÿ’งย Hi, friends! How are you? I hope you’re doing great and having a day full of good reading & precious moments. โค๏ธ Today I’ve decided to do again a kind of mini-series here on the blog, after a while of doing one, where we’ll focus on those Contemporary YA books that have touched my heart, have made me reflect, have provoked me to think, have taken me through paths of many feelings and above all, are those stories that move something inside of you which makes them almost unforgettable.ย ๐Ÿฅบ๐ŸŒŸย
Honestly, I was going to bring you a top 5, but in the end, I would have to leave many excellent books out of the list, so that’s why I decided to make it a 3 part series, which I’ll spread over three months from now, this way we’ll have one of these posts every month from April to June.ย ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿปย

Many of these books have, of course, already been mentioned in other of my posts over the yearsย ๐Ÿ˜Š, and I even think most of them are on my massive list of 5-star Worthy Contemporaries (I’ll leave that post HERE in case you want to check it out!) and, in other posts related to books that touch on serious and sensitive topics, but I still wanted to come back after a long time with this kind of appreciation posts where I highlight these AMAZING, HEART-TOUCHING works, as I think they’re all really worth it.ย ๐Ÿฅฐ Plus, obviously, it’s an updated list with new books I’ve read recently and I think they also deserve their place on this kind of list.ย ๐Ÿ”ฅย
The books will not be placed in any particular order, guys, they’re randomly placed, they’re all really amazing and are more than recommended by me. As you will notice in the title, I’ve decided to go for the word “Cry-Worthy”ย ๐Ÿ˜ญ as they’re mostly books that have moved me on a deeper level, and as I’m very sensitive they have honestly made me cry, which isn’t to say that they’re particularly super sad or anything like that, but they’ll undoubtedly touch a part of you due to their sensitive themes of all kinds, from family issues, personal growth, strength, loss, faith, love, and much more. So basically if you want to feel touched by a book this is the right place for you!ย ๐Ÿ˜ย

I’ve decided to do this mini-series focusing on contemporary stories, and even if some of them have some magical aspect, they’re all stories focused on the contemporary subject as such. I’ve decided to talk about contemporaries now, as I plan to maybe do another post where we can talk a bit more about those books that are deeply significant for me within the fantasy genre, as well.ย ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป Obviously, I hope this is something you enjoy a lot, and you can hopefully find many books to add to your TBR.โšก๏ธ You know I love to know what you think so feel free to leave me your comments ๐Ÿ’žย & now yes, without further ado LET’S GET STARTED!ย ๐Ÿ’งย

Catching Up!: Favorite Books of 2021 ๐ŸŒŸ ๏ฟผ

ย ๐ŸŒŸย Hi guys! I hope youโ€™re having a wonderful day, safe and surrounded by the best reading! โค๏ธ Today I come up with another post where we catch up a little with some book lists that are always super entertaining not only to do but also I love to share them with you!ย ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป so I hope you’re liking the idea. Today we have a post that would be kind of like the second part after “my least-favorite books of 2021” where we will talk about the opposite of that, of MY FAVORITE BOOKS OF 2021!ย ๐Ÿ˜ย

As I had already mentioned in my previous post, I love this kind of post where we close the year with some lists, and I know it’s a little late, but you know, I came back after my break and I still feel it’s fun and worth doing.
In this post, you will find 5 books, which I’ve chosen as my favorites of last year, my thoughts about each one, as well as their ratings and links to Goodreads, in case you want to add them, which I hope you do because they’re AMAZING! Oh, and also links to
my full Book Review in case you want to know more about the book totally spoilers-free. I’m very happy especially because I have a very interesting variety in terms of genres and styles, so maybe there will be one that catches your attention and is perfect for you.โšก๏ธย

I always like to clarify before I start that these are just my opinions and itโ€™s not the absolute truth of all things, I know we all have different tastes and preferences when it comes to reading and thatโ€™s perfect and super respectable so with that in mind, Iโ€™d love to know what you think about each book below and if youโ€™ve read it what was your experience with it!ย ย ๐Ÿ˜Šย

The order of the books this time will also be from least favorite to most favorite, although honestly if the book made it to my list it’s because I 100% loved it, and it deserves its place, so regardless of the order they’re wonderful stories that are worth reading.ย ๐Ÿ”ฅย
So well, loves, I hope this is something you enjoy a lot, that you find books to add to your “priority list” or add them to your TBR, whatever it is I would love to know your opinion, so don’t hesitate to share it with me.ย ๐Ÿฅฐ Now, yes, without further ado, LET’S GET STARTED!ย ๐ŸŒŸย

I hope you’re having a wonderful day, full of the best readings & the most wonderful moments! โค๏ธ Today, I’m super excited to be writing a new end of the year post, I’m a little late with these because honestly, I’ve been having a lot of workย ๐Ÿฅบ, but it’s all for a good cause, and soon I hope to be able to share my plans for the next year with you regarding my personal life (very exciting plans…ย ๐Ÿ˜Š). But well, I’ll take every moment I have to write my posts and obviously share with you my bookish thoughts, I’ll also be checking your posts as I’ve missed doing it these past few days. Now, back to today’s post, I’ll be sharing with you my list of favorite “new to me” authors I’ve read during 2021.ย ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿปย
I love doing this kind of post as I think authors deserve their own recognition from time to time. and this time I’ll be talking about 5 I have come to read for the first time this year and have loved completely for one thing or another, that I’ll be clarifying throughout the post. Each of them is in this post because I think they’re extremely talented and because I’ve connected with their style and stories on another level, also because they’re all authors I would love to continue reading in the future.ย ๐Ÿฅฐย
In addition to highlighting the authors I have enjoyed for the first time this year, I’ll also show you the works I’ve read by them and talk a bit about some of the characteristics or factors that made me love their styles. I’ll also leave some links that might interest you.ย ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿปย ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿปย ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿปย ย ย
Thanks for being here with me for another post, and always supporting me, I love you, you’re wonderful.ย ๐Ÿ’• I hope you enjoy it a lot and without further ado, I’m excited to share these authors and their work with you, so let’s get started!

August Wrap Up & September TBR | Some Witchy Books, Unexpected Ratings, Polarized Reading & Taking a few Weeks Off ๐ŸŒบ

ย ๐ŸŒบย Hi, guys! I hope youโ€™re having a wonderful day filled with the best readings & obviously, I hope you all had a beautiful past month! Today Iโ€™ve returned with one of my favorite posts to share with you my Wrap Up of the month, where I tell you all about what Iโ€™ve read during the month of August, plus: What Iโ€™m going to read in the month of September!. I think I repeat this every month, so I’m sorry, but OMG, I can’t believe we’re already so close to the end of 2021! it’s crazy!ย ๐Ÿ˜ฒ I hope from the bottom of my heart that you’re all safe and healthy, and have been able to get vaccinated if you wanted to, personally I’ve already had the first dose, so I’m more relaxed now, I’m waiting to be called for the second and luckily I haven’t had any symptoms or anything, so a very good experience. In other news, the month of August has been super quiet for me in my personal life, honestly nothing super amazing has happened but luckily, I did have been feeling very well physically, I’ve returned to be more active and walk which I haven’t done for a while, and that’s very good for me.ย ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ๐ŸŒŸ I also want to thank everyone deeply because it has been a very good month for the blog and I’ve been seeing a much more active flow of new people joining the family and that makes me very happy and I’m honestly flattered that you subscribe to the blog and check my posts, I love this space and all the wonderful people I’ve met through it.ย ๐Ÿฅบ๐Ÿ’•

I’ve embarked this month on a new challenge in terms of reading, where I’ll be reading some favorite books from other book bloggers, which I’m very excited about, and I’ve already made some progress on that TBR specifically so I’m super happy, anyway I’ll share more about it in another post.ย ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป I’m looking forward to creating weekly posts where I keep you updated with this challenge maybe, or updating it as well, something will come up, but I promise to keep you posted on all of that. In terms of reading in general, you know I’ve already shared with you that this year has been very busy for me, so I haven’t had as much time as I’d like to read as such so I’ve taken this stance of reading what I can, and being patient with myself, and celebrating every little victory, you know? Still with this mentality I managed to read a bit more than I had planned so YAY!ย ๐ŸŽ‰ I’d say it was a very successful month in terms of reading.ย ๐Ÿ˜„ย
As for the quality of these readings, it’s been a month of highs and lows,
I have some books that really impressed me, some genres that I’m not usually used to reading that I loved, and others that I expected a lot from and really disappointed me, so there’s a little bit of everything here to talk about and analyze today. We have a bit of romance, a bit of sci-fi, mystery and above all a lot of magic! Would I really be myself if I didn’t read stuff about witches?โ€ฆit’s literally all I’ve been reading this year ๐Ÿ˜….

โ€ผ๏ธย Another thing I want to share with you before starting with the post, is that I’ll be taking 2 weeks off in September where I won’t be uploading anything to the blog, I might read a little but I don’t really promise anything, you’ll see that my TBR for the month is very general because I don’t even know how much I’ll actually read, but well, this is something I do every year together with my boyfriend and we take the opportunity to relax, visit our families and really be with each other, so maybe during those two weeks reading won’t be exactly my priority, and that’s perfectly fine. TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF & TAKE BREAKS is SO important for your mental health! โค๏ธโค๏ธย
Still, I’ll be back with my reading updates for you, and obviously I’ll share a bit of those books that could be in my stack.

Now without further ado, thank you for being there on the other side supporting me, I LOVE YOU!!!ย ๐Ÿฅฐ I have the best readers and this is by far the best community, so super honored to belong & I hope you obviously enjoy today’s post, and let me know all your thoughts in the comments. Now yes, LET’S GET STARTED!ย ๐ŸŒบย

Meg has her entire life set up perfectly: her boyfriend Mason is sweet and supportive, she and her best friend Emily plan to head to Cornell together in the fall, and she even finds time to clock shifts phonebanking at a voter registration call center in her Philadelphia suburb. But everything changes when one of those calls connects her to a stranger from small-town Ohio, who gets under her skin from the moment he picks up the phone.

Colby is stuck in a rut, reeling from a family tragedy and working a dead-end jobโ€”unsure what his future holds, or if he even cares. The last thing he has time for is some privileged rich girl preaching the sanctity of the political process. So he says the worst thing he can think of and hangs up.

But things donโ€™t end there.โ€ฆ

That night on the phone winds up being the first in a series of candid, sometimes heated, always surprising conversations that lead to a long-distance friendship and thenโ€”slowlyโ€”to something more. Across state lines and phone lines, Meg and Colby form a once-in-a-lifetime connection. But in the end, are they just too different to make it work?

You Say It First is a propulsive, layered novel about how sometimes the person who has the least in common with us can be the one who changes us most.

TBR Challenge | Reading Book Bloggers’ Favorite Books โ˜๏ธ

โ˜๏ธ Hi, beautiful bookish friends! I hope you’re having a wonderful day full of amazing reads.โค๏ธ Today I’m super excited not only to finally show you all this new project but also super excited and happy to be inaugurating a new category on the blog! It’s going to be so much fun I can’t wait to tell you all about it so let’s get started. This new category I’m talking about will be called “TBR Challenge” ๐Ÿฅณ (nothing too fancy, I know lol) and it will be a section on the blog where I’ll be, as the title clearly states, putting myself under different reading challenges, this will not only hopefully be fun to bring you a new type of content, but also hopefully help me to stay motivated with my reading, and above all, and most importantly, to read more books that are already on my TBR. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป My idea isn’t to make this something super regular, being honest, I want to do it slowly so I don’t feel the pressure and I’ll be giving myself an estimated time to finish each challenge I’m facing. I want this to be an achievable thing. ๐Ÿ˜Š
I hope this is something fun that you like and that you join me during this new journey of literary challenges, of course, you can leave me your ideas for new challenges to do in the future, I already have some written down, but it never hurts.

Happy Fifth Harmony GIF by Music Choice

So, this time I bring you my first TBR Challenge where I’ll be reading 5 favorite books from 5 book bloggers I love. I’m very excited about this idea, it’s something I’ve been wanting to do for a while now, so I’m happy to finally share it here, and get started with this challenge. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

First, I would like to clarify a couple of things so that everyone is aware and this is much clearer.โ€ผ๏ธ
The books I chose
are books that these five bloggers loved and books that they gave 5 stars to, ok? I didn’t particularly find anything that said “OMG, this book is my favorite book of my life” you know? but I understand that they loved them completely because of the rating, so those are the books that I chose and will be reading. I wanted to make this clear just in case.
On the other hand, I’ve chosen the bloggers for this first round a bit randomly, but
I also chose from those people who always support me and are here for me, as a way to show them my love and you know, I love having the chance to mention them so you can also follow them and enjoy their content.
Another thing that I think is very important to mention is that in the end
no matter if I like or dislike these books, this is meant to be a super fun experience because obviously we all have different reading tastes and that’s the entertaining part too, you know? So I‘ll read everything very relaxed knowing that my chosen bloggers are all wonderfully kind and won’t hate me if I don’t like any of these books lol.
Lastly and to jump right into today’s post, I also want to comment that
I’ve given myself 2 months at the most to finish this mini-TBR, I know other people can easily read this in less than a month, but I don’t want to put myself under pressure, I prefer to take it slow and most of all enjoy the experience, because if you guys like it I would LOVE to bring more of this kind of challenges to the blog. ๐Ÿ’•

Of course, this introduction was going to be long because I had a lot to clarify, but still, if there’s any doubt you have about it just let me know in the comments and I’ll be happy to clarify it. Now yes, without further ado, I hope you enjoy this new section & this first challenge, INFINITE THANKS to the five bloggers I’ll be choosing for their wonderful content ๐Ÿฅฐ, I had a lot to choose from, it was funโ€ฆ And now, LET’S GET STARTED! โ˜๏ธ

New Year Nye GIF by nevhada

PS: Thank you for understanding that I don’t have so much time on my hands right now, every comment of support and love that I’ve received has made me move to tears. Knowing that you support me and will not forget me has made me feel deeply fortunate ๐Ÿ˜ญ .

So today I’ll share with you first, my readings for December, which have obviously been much less than I expected, but they were still positive & I’ll also share with you my readings for this month!! I’m very excited about that because I plan to give my reading a little change and give myself something lighter, so I can read while I adjust to my new job and new schedules. ๐Ÿ˜Š  So even though I won’t be able to read as much as always, I still hope to find wonderful readings this year so that I can continue to share only the best with you!! ๐Ÿ˜
Fun Fact: I only needed 1 book more to finish my 2020 Goodreads Reading Challenge LOL, I think it’s funny because maybe I could have completed it, but I ended up reading 69 books in 2020 and that’s not bad at all!
 ๐Ÿ˜‚

So, I don’t want to make this introduction infinite like I always end up doing lol, you know me, I love talking to you, so to summarize, I’m grateful for the beginning of this new year, for the little blessings of every day and especially for you and for giving me a place in your life.โค๏ธ Also, super excited to bring you new content this year and much, much more books to recommend and to discuss about. Now, without further ado, I can’t wait to share my past and future readings with you, so LET’S START! โ˜€๏ธ
