A masterful tale of ambition, jealousy, desire, and superpowers.
Victor and Eli started out as college roommates—brilliant, arrogant, lonely boys who recognized the same sharpness and ambition in each other. In their senior year, a shared research interest in adrenaline, near-death experiences, and seemingly supernatural events reveals an intriguing possibility: that under the right conditions, someone could develop extraordinary abilities. But when their thesis moves from the academic to the experimental, things go horribly wrong.
Ten years later, Victor breaks out of prison, determined to catch up to his old friend (now foe), aided by a young girl whose reserved nature obscures a stunning ability. Meanwhile, Eli is on a mission to eradicate every other super-powered person that he can find—aside from his sidekick, an enigmatic woman with an unbreakable will. Armed with terrible power on both sides, driven by the memory of betrayal and loss, the archnemeses have set a course for revenge—but who will be left alive at the end?
In Vicious, V. E. Schwab brings to life a gritty comic-book-style world in vivid prose: a world where gaining superpowers doesn’t automatically lead to heroism, and a time when allegiances are called into question.
🎃 Hi guys! I hope you’re having a beautiful day full of good readings.❤️ Today I bring you a new post… my October Wrap Up! where I’ll tell you ALL about my readings of the month. I’m super happy to have shared the month of October with you and besides, being here to share everything about my readings, you know that I LOVE horror, so I had a really fun month, watching a lot of horror movies and reading some pretty creepy stuff, and, in general, I’m quite happy with what I’ve been able to do during the month. 😊 In my personal life, it has been my mother’s birthday, and being able to spend it with her despite everything that’s happening in the world has been a blessing, always keeping in mind how lucky I’m to have my family close and to be able to visit them more often, that has really brought me very nice energy to my month, I’ve also resumed my morning walks 👏🏻, now that everything is a little calmer the activities are being regulated better in my province, so I’ve had a little more freedom, always using a facemask, guys, super important, let’s take care of each other! So it has been a beautiful month,I’m also planning and working a little on my WIP, but I’ll start writing as such in November, like many of us I’ll be participating in Nanowrimo and super excited about it, because it will be my first time so we’ll see, maybe I’ll be sharing a bit of that with you next month. 🥺 🥺 🥺
Of course, I want to thank you for all the support and love you’ve given me and my blog this month, it has been wonderful and it’s always a great blessing to see all those comments and likes and visits, at the end of the day to think that so many people have been taking their time to interact with me really means a lot, so thank you, my friends, you’re wonderful & I’m here super excited for another month together! 💞
Now about my reading month, I think I would have liked to do better and maybe read one more book, but most of myself is like super happy with what I’ve achieved, during the previous month I’ve reached a much-needed harmony about how I manage my time and being kind to myself has been first, I’m very happy to have so many passions and reading, regardless of the number of books, it will always be one of them, so I’m truly happy for each book I read. 🥰 I’ve participated in two readathons this month, one of them is Hocus Pocus Readathon & the other is Gothtober Readathon, if you want to know more about them you can check my October TBR. I’ve had a lot of fun with both, I’ve combined several of my readings to make it easier for myself and I double up some challenges and promps, so I’ve done quite well in both. 🙌🏻 I think the positive of any readathon is feeling motivated to read and feel that emotion, you know? so super accomplished! 🥳 What I’m most excited about my readings this month is that everything I’ve read I’ve enjoyed, I didn’t have a single bad reading this month, which is INCREDIBLE 😍, you know that I’m quite picky with the books I read, so it’s a pleasant surprise. I had a couple of readings that surprised me a lot, giving me much more than I expected from them. I’ve had another couple of readings with very shocking, intense, and interesting stories & Others spooky but adorable with incredible characters. 👻
So, sorry to make my introduction always so long, don’t hate me 😂, & without further ado, let’s get started, I’m excited to share my readings with you! 🎃
🎃 Hi, my beautifull bookish friends! I hope you’re having the most incredible day with the best readings.❤️ Today I bring you a new Monthly TBR, where I’m sharing with you my reading plans for the month of October. Guys, I’m SO EXCITED cause the horror month has officially begun and it’s one of my favorite months of the year because if you don’t know it yet, you should know that I LOVE everything that has to do with scary things: movies, books, EVERYTHING. 😍 So like every year I will be watching many spooky series and horror movies, as well as those that are within the genre like, mystery or suspense, and obviously, I’m here today to share with you ALL my readings, of course, that are super spooky and disturbing, so really really excited and happy that this season begins. 👻 Here in Argentina, there’s no such thing as Halloween, so I’ll be celebrating it on my own, like every year!!! and I hope you stay there all this month accompanying me, I’ve planned some spooky recommendations and other posts that I’m really excited about to share with you, so stay tuned, it will be a beautiful and creepy month! 🥳 As always before I start to tell you a bit about my plans for the month, I want to thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for all the support and love you have given me the previous month, I’m SOOOO happy to have you in my life, you have no idea, this blog means the world for me, as well as being part of this community that’s so wonderful. 💞 I LOVE YOU, ALWAYS & ALWAYS. 🥺 🥺 🥺
So, I plan this month to participate in two readathons, I really couldn’t choose only one and LOVE the ideas of both, the creators have been super original and you can see both have worked so hard, so I want to give my support by participating, it will be SO MUCH FUN. 👏🏻 The first will be Hocus Pocus Readathon 🧙🏻♀️, a Readathon that I’m sure you’ve heard mentioned, is created by @pagesnink and @werewolflious & takes place from October 1st until the 31st. I LOVE that in this Readathon we have Teams: “Team Sanderson Sisters”, “Team Undead” & “Team Trick or Treaters”. Each Team has its own prompts, as well as each Team also has a Strength and a Weakness, all of which is perfectly detailed on Twitter, where you’ll find a thread with all the information you need to know, also where you can join to win points for your team. In my case, I’ll be #TEAMSANDERSONSISTERS and super excited for my team, and I have a very exciting stack to share with you later. On the other hand, we have Gothtober Readathon 💀, which let me tell you, it has some BEAUTIFUL graphics, you can see the work put into it and I simply love each of the promps that I’ll later be sharing with you. This Gothic Readathon is hosted by @ladette_M, @Oliviascatastro, and @llittlewolf_ & will be taking place throughout the whole month of October as well. This also has a wonderful thread on Twitterwhere you can go to see all the info and also some recommendations for each prompt, which I’ll share with you below.
I’ve been able to put together a stack with books that I’ll be convincing and repeating for many of the prompts of both Readathons, so I don’t have to read one for each prompt because it would be impossible for me to do so. But I’m really happy with what I accomplished, I have a decent stack of spooky books that I’m very excited to read. 🥰 To be honest with you I’ll not be prioritizing my ARCs this month, I want to mention it directly because I have to be true to myself and this month I feel like I want to read other things, and that’s fine, even so, I always enjoy my ARCs and love the possibility of being able to be approved for each one of them, so I’ll read more in November. 😊 And I think that’s it, hope I don’t forget to mention anything, I’m super excited about jumping right into what’s important right and sharing ALL my readings for this month with you, so without further ado, make yourself comfortable, prepare a delicious coffee & LET’S START! 🎃
❄️ Hi, my beautiful bookish friends! I hope you’re having the most incredible day with the best readings.❤️ Today I bring you a new Monthly TBR, where I share with you my reading plans for the month of July. This month will be the month where I’ll try to catch up on my readings after having a very bad June, thank God it was a pretty short month for me because I was urgent to start with a new month and new energy. 💫 I know I say this every month, you probably think I’m crazy, but I’m excited for this month and I think it will be the month when I finally read a lot and catch up on many readings I’ve been wanting to read since the beginning of the year. 😍
I’ve planned this structure where I’ve chosen books that I’m really excited about, some ARCs and new releases, in this way, I think I’ll be able to defeat the reading slump and stay motivated throughout the month. 👏🏻 In addition to these plans, I’ll be participating in PopCulture Readathon 🤩 , which not only sounds incredible but IS INCREDIBLE. When I found out about it on Twitter, I knew that I had to participate even when I wasn’t reading anything at the time. I LOVE the idea, is inspired by movies from the ’90s! I think it’s brilliant and I love how Whitney, the creator, has organized everything in a way that we all have many options and a wide range of promps and boards: “Teen Dream““Family Affair” “Thrill Ride“ & “The Adult Table“, which I LOVE! I also think that there’s no specific goal, you can do it as you like and how it resonates with you, try to fill the board you choose or you can do it in a bingo-style or as you want, in my case, I’ll try to read as many books as I can of the board that I’ve chosen. 😊 In case you want to know more about the readathon and places to find it, I’ll leave you all the links here above and I’m very happy to see that many of us will be participating or, in my case, trying to participate, so it will be even more fun!
❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ Before starting I want to thank you for being there for me throughout the month of June supporting my work on the blog and to me as a person, I don’t deserve you, you’re wonderful and I’m absolutely proud and happy to be part of the community. I know that lately, our family that we have created here, has been somewhat problematic in general, so I want to let you know that this will always be a safe place for you, as positive as it can be and you’ll always have all the freedom to express yourself as you want to do it. I also want to say that if you’re feeling uncomfortable or un-motivated, please don’t hesitate to stay away for a while if it’s what you need, it’s totally understandable and your mental health comes first. I LOVE YOU & I’m planning a discussion on how to combat reading slump for this month if you’re interested stay around because I know that sadly many of us are going through the same thing, but I know that we going to do it so much better this month, July will be our month of reading! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
I have a huge stack of books planned to share with you below, I’ve decided to choose a book for each promp on the board because I think it’s fun and I just wanted to choose to have a lot of variety and possibilities, even so, I’m aware that I’ll not read all this and it’s ok, I still wanted to try to read as much as I can. 🥰 I’m excited to share it with you, let me know EVERYTHING in the comments & without further ado, LET’S START! ❄️ Read More »

I hope you’re having a wonderful day and a great start to the week! ❤️ Today I bring a fun book tag to share with you, I was looking through my tags and nominations, and I can’t believe I didn’t remember this one, I just adore the idea, so I’m super excited to do it. I’ve been tagged by the wonderful Azia | The Uncharted Word | to do it and I feel super grateful, she’s a blogger that I personally LOVE for her sweet personality and wonderful/beautiful content, so if you haven’t checked her blog out yet, I invite you to do it now! you’ll not regret it. 🥰 PS: Azia, darling, I’m so sorry it took me so many months to do the tag, I’m catching up, I promise 😅
It’s autumn here in Argentina, and even though I know that most of you are living warmer climates right now, I’ll go against all odds and I’ll get comfortable with my coffee and my blanket to write this lovely autumn tag.☕️ As always, I hope you enjoy it and that you share all your thoughts with me, you know that I LOVE that we interact in the comments, now without further ado, let’s begin! ⭐️ Read More »
⚡️ Hi guys! Happy start of the week, I hope you’re having the best day, full of good readings! 🥰I’m having so much fun making All these posts, it’s really a blessing for me to share with you all about my year in readings and chat a little, it makes me SO SO happy, so thanks for being there for me.❤️ Today I bring you a mini top of those readings that ended up surprising me way more than I expected, and on the contrary, those that ended up disappointing me when I expected a lot from them. Later in the month, I’ll be making my post of favorite books of the year and my least favorites, so this has nothing to do with that and I will not be repeating books. What this post represents, on the one hand, are those readings of which I didn’t expect anything and ended up being incredible and on the other hand, those of which I did expect a lot and ended up falling short. I hope you understand what I’m trying to do here 😅, I’m very excited to talk to you about these books because even though some of them disappointed me, I feel that they aren’t bad books at all and I feel that you could enjoy them yourself. 👏🏻 I hope you like it, I’ll tell you more about each one below and as always, let me know ALL your thoughts in the comments. Without further ado, let’s start!⚡️
🌵 Hi guys, I hope you’re having a BEAUTIFUL day, full of positive energies, and if not, and you’re going through a hard time, I send you from here all my love and hugs just for you!. 💕 These days have been quite cold and rainy in my city, so I’ve been wishing and having that little “inspiration” spark to return with this post, which I enjoyed doing so much, and that’s why here I am with the second part of “One Cozy Reading Nook & One Book”. I’m leaving you the first part HERE in case you haven’t seen it, but basically, it’s about this recommendation post where it’s all about visual and esthetics, and I recommend a book that I love or have enjoyed a lot based on one of the following beautiful and wonderful reading nooks. 😍 The previous post seemed to like you very much and that makes me SO happy, so I’ve decided to do it again and this time I bring you new recommendations and new beautiful places that will inspire you to read more, I’m sure. I have many genres for all tastes, so everyone can find your perfect book. 😊 I hope you like the idea, enjoy the post and hopefully find your next reading or a new book to add to your endless TBR, because we never have enough, right? 😅 Let’s start! 🌵 Read More »
❄️ Hi guys!! I hope you’re having the best day and every time you see your beautiful face in the mirror you love yourself as much as I love you. 💞 Today I bring you our beloved Wrap Up of the month of June where I’ll talk about all the books I’ve read during the month. This was a great month, I feel like I started it with a lot of energy and finished it with a lot of energy, you know, so I’m really enjoying the moment. Winter has come where I live, which means I’m almost frozen myself writing this post, I swear I can’t feel my fingers, damn circulation.😂 But on the other hand, I adore cold weather, I feel that put me on a better mood, I have more desire to do things, I love the combination of my coffee, my blanket, and my book when returning home from work, it’s those little moments when you know you’re completely happy, you know? I LOVE it.⛄️ I‘ve been feeling much more connected with you this month, I feel that despite having been a little messy with my post schedule, I had a month full of interactions with wonderful people within the community, I have seen many new faces in my comments what It makes me SO HAPPY 😭 ❤️, so in that aspect, it has been a great month. I’ve participated in a read-a-thon, and I’ve spent such a great time with it, I’ve pushed myself out my comfort zone with my readings, what I recommend you do from time to time, it’s such a fun experience!.
Well I think I’ve started talking too much, I always think that I’ll not have anything to say, I don’t know if I’m the only one, but sometimes I think “Oh, what I’m going to write about on my wrap up?, I’m so uninteresting” lol, but here I’m talking of anything less than what brings us here, so without more further ado, I want to tell you EVERYTHING about the book I read. 😊 I‘ve had a great reading month, you’ll see in my statistics below, but in summary, I feel happy to be able to say that I’ve read more than normal, it’s not much for you I guess, I know that compared to many of you I read quite a bit, but the important thing is that I enjoyed most, I had a sad disappointment, but for the rest I can say that I enjoyed everything I’ve read, I had a couple of very pleasant surprises and, as I mentioned before, I’ve also been able to get myself out of my comfort zone, which I hope to continue doing because it has led me to enjoy other types of genres, and expand my literary tastes a little more. I wanted to focus more on my ARCs because in July I want to be more relaxed about, and I think I did a great job so I’m pleased with that. 👏🏻 I’m dying to tell you more about my readings of the month, so let’s START!❄️Read More »
