2020 Surprises & Disappointments โšก๏ธ

โšก๏ธย Hi, guys! I hope you’re having a beautiful day full of good readings and wonderful moments! โค๏ธ Today I’m more than excited to share with you this second post in the series of “end of the year posts” and this time I bring you my Surprises & my Disappointments of this 2020.ย ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป On the one hand, we have those books from which I didn’t expect so much and they ended up surprising me by how much I enjoyed them and on the other hand, those which I had high expectations from, but ended up disappointing me.
As always, I want to clarify that these opinions are only my own and don’t mean that we all have the same experiences with these books and that’s fine ๐Ÿ˜Š & on the other hand I also want to clarify that
the group of books that today I want to share with you that were surprising for me, are books that really captivated me but they didn’t reach my top of the year as favorites, so this is also a good opportunity to give them their moment of recognition, appreciate them and tell you a little about them.ย ๐Ÿ˜
I also want to tell you that those books that are in the group of
my disappointments this year aren’t bad books at all, in fact, I’ve enjoyed them, it just that I get into them with high expectations or I expected much more from them and they just didn’t live up to and that’s why they’re in my disappointments. Which doesn’t mean they aren’t great reads anyway. ๐ŸŒŸย
In short, I want this to be a fun post to share and exchange opinions, always knowing that we are all unique and different and that’s wonderful.ย ๐Ÿ’ž
So you know that I hope to know everything you think in the comments about these books!

September Wrap Up | Latinx Book Bingo, Unexpected Reads & Unpopular Opinions ๐ŸŒป

๐ŸŒป Hi guys! I hope you’re having a beautiful day full of good readings.โค๏ธ Today I bring you a new postโ€ฆ my September Wrap Up! where Iโ€™ll tell you ALL about my readings of the month. I’m quite pleased with my reading month, I think I could read a lot of what I expected and that makes me very happy, but also I’ve felt very relaxed in terms of my life as a reader, you know? I think I’ve learned to balance a bit my “normal life” with my “life as a reader” without stressing so much about it and that has been something very positive this month. ๐Ÿฅฐ I found myself enjoying most of my readings as well, and with that extra non-pressure feeling that I’ve been having, it was even a more enjoyable experience that I hope to take with me into October, which will be a pretty ambitious month for me. ๐ŸŽƒ Still, I want to continue to feel relaxed and read just when I feel like it, and know that it’s okay if I read 4, 5, or 6 books a month, that that’s wonderful and I don’t have to push myself to read more. So in summary, I think I have had a month quite in tune and in harmony with myself, accepting myself with all and failures, knowing that it’s okay if I want to do things that don’t have to do with reading, and basically be at peace with the blogging process as well ๐Ÿ˜Š. I think that if it’s something that interests you, I could talk more in another post about the balance between daily life, blogging, and reading, I think it’s something interesting to discuss.

As I always do, I want to thank you immensely for the support and love you have towards me and towards the blog, I love you deeply, you know that and I know how lucky I’m to have each one of you commenting and liking my posts, I always feel all that lovely energy and it makes me SO happy. I want to say thank you again, for having voted for me in this 2020 Book Blogging Awards, because I’ve won for Best Recommendations ๐ŸŽŠ and I still cannot believe it, it’s such a great honor, YOU’RE INCREDIBLE & thank you SO SO much! โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ
In other news, but not least, I’ve changed many things on the blog, as you can see, and
I want to thank you for your words of support and love towards those changes ๐Ÿฅบ, I know that I’m not a graphic designer and there’s much that I still have to learn, but I’m happy with the changes, I’m about to celebrate 4 years with the blog and I already felt like changing a little to attract new energy of love and creation. I’m very excited about this new stage and I hope that you’re there to live it together.

So, going a little more specifically to my readings this month, it has been a very positive month.
I’ve participated in the Latinx Book Bingo, but I decide to do it something different and just focus on a stack of books all by Latinx authors and try to read as much as possible, obviously, it was too much and I knew that, so I didn’t get to read the vast majority, BUT I’m still happy because
almost all my readings of the month were by Latinx authors so YAY! ๐Ÿ˜
I‘ve even participated in a couple of blog tours that I’m very proud of because I’ve adored both Latinx authors releases, both super important readings, I’ll tell you more later. ๐Ÿ˜Š
I was also looking forward to catching up on a well-known trilogy of which I had an ARC from the second book, and
I have unpopular thoughts about it ๐Ÿ™„, so you should stick around to find out, but yeah, I was just hoping for a little more from them.
Then I encouraged myself to read a bit of contemporary and especially romance, which isn’t my genre at all, but I’m glad to be giving it another chance. Spring started where I live, so I thought it would be a good time to get out of my comfort zone.
And I also read a book with a lot of hype, and you know that always terrifies me, but I think this time it was worth it,
I loved it and it has that horror/gothic touch that I had not read for a long time. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

So, as you can see, I have a lot that I want to talk to you about, so without further ado, make yourself comfortable, I hope you enjoy & let’s get started! ๐ŸŒป

September TBR | The Month I Want to Read It ALL: Latinx Book Bingo & Exciting ARCs ๐ŸŒป

๐ŸŒป Hi, my beautiful bookish friends! I hope youโ€™re having the most incredible day with the best readings.โค๏ธ Today I bring you a new Monthly TBR, where I share with you my reading plans for the month of September. Can you believe that there are only 4 months until the end of the year? It’s just so crazy, but looking at how our 2020 has been maybe it’s a good thing, right? ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
I’m very excited about my plans for this month because I just coming out of my reading slump and I feel ready to read a little bit more, which is great! Even so, I’ll not promise that I’ll read each of the books that I’ve planned because I know that sometimes I lose control and I get a little ambitious lol, but I do want to try to read as much as I can and the most important thing is that I hope to enjoy the process. ๐Ÿ˜Š Of course,
I want to thank you for always supporting me, August has been a great month for the blog and also for me, and in large part I owe it to you and to every comment of love that means the world for me, so I never want to miss the chance to say THANK YOU and I really appreciate what you do for me. ๐Ÿฅบ

Perhaps you have noticed that now there’s a small sunflower accompanying this month’s title and that means that spring will be coming this month to Argentina, so I’m planning to focus on reading some contemporary books that I’ve had for a while, since I feel that the warmer weather is perfect for it. ๐Ÿฅฐ So, this month I’ll be participating in a Readathon and that’s Latinx Book Bingo and will take place from September 15 to October 15, which is Hispanic Heritage Month, is hosted by Paola, Allie (Allie With Books), and Sofia (Bookish Wanderess). For this Readathon the girls have created a Bingo Borad, of course, which I’ll show you below and maybe even though some of my readings will coincide with some promps, I’ve decided to focus on the books I already own, so in general my challenge will be to read as many books by Latinx authors and representations as humanly possible throughout the month of September, maybe I’ll also be reading some in October, but you know that I usually focus more on spooky books during that month, so my goal in September is to read as much as I can. ๐Ÿ˜ I love supporting my people and this wonderful idea, so if you didn’t know about it yet and you feel like it, I invite you to participate by at least reading a couple of books or just one book by a Latinx author, that would be incredible to show your support. ๐Ÿ’ž
Apart from this
I’ll also be focusing on my ARCs and I have several Blog Tours in which I will be participating as well, I feel super excited for them, because they are books that I’m dying to read and share the experience with you. ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป

I think that this month I’ll not be using my “Back Up Pile” because I’ll already be adding a lot of books by Latinx authors, so I want to focus mainly on them, and I’ll see as the month progresses. I’m super excited to share everything that I’ll be reading this month ๐Ÿ˜„, I hope you enjoy it and tell me what you’ll be reading in the comments, you know that I love chatting with you. Now, without further ado, let’s get started! ๐ŸŒป
