🌘 Hi, friends! I hope you’re having a wonderful day, full of the best readings.❤️ Today I’m super excited because I bring you a post that I’ve been wanting to do for a couple of weeks, I thought it would be fun to share with you my favorite books with the strangest and most peculiar plots.👏🏻 If you follow my blog for a while you already know that I adore rare books that come out of the box and dare to do something new and innovative with their plots, especially I LOVE when mundane or everyday life is mixed with paranormal, strange elements, or magic, as well as I love plots that focus a little on giving life to their characters and settings, taking the time to develop them in an atmospheric and addictive way, but never leaving aside that strange and kind of dark vibe that pushes you to keep reading to know what will happen. 😍 These are the types of books that are 100% for me, that’s why in this post I wanted to bring them all here together to share them with you.
I know that this type of book will not be for everyone, and that’s fine, I like to bring you particular and different things so that we can also share our experiences and thoughts, so if it isn’t for you, that’s super valid too, let me know all in the comments. 😊 So, as I was saying, this time it will be all about atmospheric, dark, and kind of twisted books at times, without a doubt, they all have the same characteristic that they’re all dark and involve a bit of the horror genre at times in different measures. 🌲 But they’re all highly addictive books with unexpected twists and gripping mysterious plots, so I highly recommend them if these are factors that resonate with you. 🌟 In addition, I’ve also decided to include some books with these characteristics that I haven’t read yet, but they’re in my TBR so you can have more options and also add them to your TBR if you want. So without further ado, I hope you enjoy this post very much, have an entertaining moment & LET’S GET STARTED! 🌘
🌙 Hi, guys! I hope you’re having a beautiful day, it makes me SO happy to come back with another post this month, since I’ve had super busy days, so I’ll celebrate each post that I upload and give it the value it deserves, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do by writing them.❤️ Today I decided to bring you a post with 4 mini-reviews of books that I’ve read in the previous months and I haven’t had time to review before, so I thought it was fun to create a single post where I highlight them and give them the attention they deserve, but It’s also obviously a good way to catch up with them and bring you all my thoughts. 👏🏻 👏🏻 Of course, even though these reviews aren’t as extensive as my regular reviews tend to be, didn’t mean I haven’t touched on every important point, in fact the only difference is that in these reviews I go straight to the point when talking about every aspect of them, cause you know I like to ramble sometimes so I hope it really is something that helps you to know a little about these books, but also that you can get each idea and thought that I want to transmit here. 🥰
I wanted to thank you as I always try to do, for the love and support that you continue to give me and to the blog in these moments when I can no longer be so active, that always makes me feel super happy and also gives me that encouragement to want to return to write, which you know I love to do with all my heart. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU because also the blog has officially reached 6k followers! 🥳 It’s crazy, it seems like yesterday when I just started posting and it was a disaster (LOL) but even so, I always had so much fun, this space means a lot to me for all the beautiful people I’ve met but also because it is a very special way of expression for me. 😭
Returning to where we were, Today I’ll share with you my thoughts about these 4 great books, I’ve really liked all of them, so I can’t wait to share with you, and maybe you decide to add some to your TBR to give them a chance in the future. 😍 Obviously, super grateful to the publishers and NetGalley for the possibility to read the following ARCs. The books I’ll talk about next are The Last Secret You’ll Ever Keep by Laurie Faria Stolarz, The Helm of Midnight (The Five Penalties, # 1) by Marina J. Lostetter, Bridge of Souls (Cassidy Blake, # 3 ) by Victoria Schwab& Horrid by Katrina Leno. 📝 So, make yourself comfortable, go get your favorite drink ☕️ because WE’RE GETTING STARTED! 🌙
🍂 Hi, guys! I hope you’re having a wonderful day filled with the best readings & obviously, I hope you all had a beautiful past month! ❤️ Today I’ve returned with one of my favorite posts to share with you my Wrap Up of the month, where I tell you all about what I’ve read during the month of April.April was a very positive month for me in terms of reading, I’m more than happy to tell you that I FINALLY started to accommodate my schedules a little better to actually be able to READ, so that has me extremely pleased.👏🏻👏🏻 On the other hand, I still have to learn to manage my times to be able to bring you more content, or at least other types of posts, I don’t want to fall into always bringing you the same things, you know? 💻 So I’m working on it, but still super grateful to be able to continue maintaining this space that I love so much, and have your support that simply means the world to me, so thank you, friends! 🥺
In other news, my business is doing very well luckily so that’s always something to celebrate, and also I’m super excited because there’s almost nothing left for the 6k followers on the blog! like…WHAT!!!🎉 I can’t believe it, I don’t deserve you, I’ve been blessed with all of you, it makes me happy that there are still people who want to be part of this small family, I love you so much!! 😭😭😭 So, well enough fangirling over you all for a second lol cause, I also want to share with you that I’ve started to watch Anime for the first time in my life, my brothers are obsessed, so they insisted that I should try so here I am, I finally did it and I’m really enjoying the experience, so let’s see how that go.💪🏻 Also I started watching Doctor Who again because I have no control I love that series, so I started watching it from scratch and it’s ALL I need. ☄️ PS: I’m watching SHADOW & BONE! 🦌 And loving it, my heart cannot with the perfection of the characters, I haven’t finished it yet, so I’ll tell you more once I do it, for now, I want to say that it’s an excellent job what they’ve done with this adaptation, I’m loving it. 😍
Now having shared a little with you about what I’ve been doing in April, I want to tell you my plans for the month of May, which aren’t really many, is mainly to upload a little more content to the blog 🔥, but I wouldn’t like to slow down my pace of reading so I’ll be focusing a lot on that, plus I’ll keep checking blogs and supporting your content, so expect to see a bit of me on your blog if you have one during this month too. ✨
Now, we go directly to what concerns us today, HAVE I READ SOMETHING DURING THE MONTH OF APRIL? YES, I have read! *celebration dance* 💃 I’ve read 5 books, and I know it doesn’t sound like much compared to other bookish people, but it has been a great achievement for me coming from quite busy months, I finally feel that during the last two months I’ve been able to go back a little to my normality by reading a little more 😊 and also, always super positive, I’ve enjoyed each of my readings this month, which is incredible, not only that, but I really don’t think I’ve read a single bad book this month, so that’s great, really.👍🏻 I’ve read a couple of spooky books with dark themes, and more intense atmospheres, but on the other hand, I’ve also given the chance to a super light reading that has surprised me for good. I read all my ARCs of the month (YAY!), I’ve also finished a series that I adore, and finally, I’ve read one of my 5-star predictions, which I’ll tell you more about below (I still plan to make a separate post about my 5 stars predictions for being more specific about it) 🥰 Super excited to share with you my thoughts about all these books, I know that there are many reviews that I still have to write, but I promise that it’s something I will do soon, I’m thinking of a new format of quick reviews to be able to get up to date, but always as the main point to give you as much info as possible and all my thoughts. Thanks again, for EVERYTHING! I LOVE you and I wish you only happiness 😘, now without further ado, because Sofi LOVES to talk apparently, lol … LET’S START!! 🍂
🍂 Hi, guys, I hope you’re having a beautiful day, full of good readings & incredible moments!! ❤️SO happy to have a moment to be able to share with you everything that I’ve been reading in the month of March plus, everything that I plan and will try to read during this month of April. 🌟 Every time I have the chance to sit down to write a post this year it’s like a double blessing since I don’t have much time on my hands, so I’m really happy to be here guys, as always! So this month has been super positive for me in terms of reading, but we will talk about it a little later, now I wanted to take the space to thank you for the support you have given me as a person and also to the blog this month, it means a lot. Especially with respect to my “DEFINITIVE BOOK BLOGGER LIST“ which I must say I’m very proud of, I think tourn out beautiful and also quite organized which I intended, also I’m very pleased that more of you can interact and support each other thanks to this list, and also share each other contents, give likes, and comment, I think that after all the controversy that has occurred recently regarding how little we are valued as book bloggers in the bookish community in general, we need more love 🥰, so this has been the perfect time to publish the list and thus show my support and be able to amplify our voices in some way, I know that we’re brilliant, we’re valuable and we do incredible and hard work with our contents so without a doubt, we deserve better and don’t let anyone make you think otherwise. 👏🏻
In terms of reading this March has been great! 😄 in fact much better than my previous months, maybe it doesn’t seem that I read SO MUCH to you but I did, in fact, I’ve read 5 books last month, most of them good but not impressive books, only one of them has really managed to conquer me completely, but I’m super excited to share my thoughts with you on each of these books. 😊 Some of them with dark tones, with a bit of mystery, on the other hand, a bit of magic in contemporary stories, which I usually enjoy a lot, and finally a few paranormal elements, as well. I really feel super proud to have been able to read more than two books lol, it’s a great achievement so let’s celebrate together!! 🎉 I hope to read even more, though, in April *fingers crossed*
Before continuing I wanted to apologize because I know that I’m super late with my reviews of these books, some I’ve already reviewed, but I still need to review most of them, so I’m sorry, I tend to be very punctual with my reviews but that’s fine, life is like that now, and soon I’ll bring you some double reviews maybe and a full one for my favorite book of the month. So I’ll probably be brief here because I want to leave some of my feelings & thoughts for the reviews.❤️
For this month my plans are basically reading 😂 , aren’t those our plans every month, thought?! SHOCK! but not, seriously, I want to read, I’m feeling more and more eager to dedicate more time to my reading, and feeling that motivation again makes me happy, so I’ll take advantage of it while it lasts 🤓. I’ll surely be starting a new series, reading some ARCs as always & especially with the cold weather coming to my city hand in hand with autumn, I feel ready to read some spooky/creepy or perhaps suspense/mystery kind of books, something with a weird and atmospheric vibe. 🌲 So I’ll have a mini list to share with you, in addition to that within that list, I’ll be including some of my 5-star predictions to make it more fun. So I hope this is a very good month for EVERYONE & without further ado, I LOVE YOU ❤️, I hope you enjoy the post, let me know everything in the comments, and LET’S GET STARTED! 🍂
📸 Hi, guys! I hope you’re having the most wonderful day & you’re starting the week in the best way!❤️ Today I’m very excited because it’s the beginning of what will be the end of the year post series that I’m very excited to share with you! 🥺 To open this week I want to start with one of the most fun and beautiful posts to do and admire, and it’s the post where I show you all my favorite covers of this 2020!!! 😍 I started with these posts two years ago, so I’ll leave you here my favorite covers of 2018 & 2019 in case you want to check them out, they’re also books that sound incredible, but as always in these posts, I choose to focus 100% on the covers dedicating this space to admire the beauty and incredible work of the illustrators. 👏🏻 👏🏻 I don’t have a specific number to choose my covers, I’ll only be showing you those that have captivated me and have become an obsession for me to look at & also, this is a personal opinion so I understand that you think that I’ve left some out or that someones I’ve chosen aren’t that impressive, but that’s the magic of sharing, right? different opinions are gold. So, I’m a cover lover and although I know that books should not be judged by them, today they’ll have the distinction they deserve. 🤩 I hope you like this post a lot, so make yourself comfortable, enjoy the view & let’s get started! 📸
🎃 Hi, guys! I hope you’re having a beautiful and spooky day, enjoying all your readings.❤️ Today is the beginning of a series of posts where I’ll be sharing with you some lists and recommendations of spooky books so that you can add to your TBR and maybe read at some point!😍 I’m SO excited to share the horror season with you, you know that I LOVE everything that has to do with horror, so it’s a pleasure for me to be putting together these lists full of interesting books for you. I’ve decided to divide these posts into Lists and Recommendations due to the fact that some of the books I’ve read but others not, and I decided anyway to include those books that are in my TBR but I haven’t read yet, to make this series more interesting and be able to bring you more spooky titles to you to check out. 👏🏻 Obviously, I can’t talk in-depth about the ones I haven’t read, but I can tell you that I’m 100% interested in reading them and they sound INCREDIBLE, so I know they could also be of interest to you.
This time I brought you a list of more than 10 books with super spooky, creepy, twisted, and above all, weird plots. 🦇 I don’t know about you guys, but I’m a big fan of plots where you don’t really know what the hell is going on, but you’re just can’t put the book down cause you feel you’re so entertaining and hooked about it.I love those vibes of suspense, tension, and discomfort that this type of plot can generate 😨, but I also know that they’re not for everyone, I think that these types of books will be focused on a number of specific readers, BUT I still wanted to do this list because I personally love this kind of books, and know that if there’s someone out there like me, then they’ll have a source to turn to. Anyway, if weird plots aren’t your jam, these books feature similar factors that I love too, like family dynamics, beautiful aesthetics & super atmospheric surroundings. 🥰 I hope you like my list and that you can find new books to enjoy, you know I love doing this and share it with you, so thanks for always being there ❤️ & without further ado, let’s get started! 🎃
☕️ Hi guys, I hope you’re having a wonderful day!. here I am with a new WWW Wednesday (originally hosted by A Daily Rhythm and revived by Taking on a World of Words, where I’ll share with you the books that I’ve finished, my current and upcoming readings, and so chat a little about them ☕️
🎃 Hi, my beautifull bookish friends! I hope you’re having the most incredible day with the best readings.❤️ Today I bring you a new Monthly TBR, where I’m sharing with you my reading plans for the month of October. Guys, I’m SO EXCITED cause the horror month has officially begun and it’s one of my favorite months of the year because if you don’t know it yet, you should know that I LOVE everything that has to do with scary things: movies, books, EVERYTHING. 😍 So like every year I will be watching many spooky series and horror movies, as well as those that are within the genre like, mystery or suspense, and obviously, I’m here today to share with you ALL my readings, of course, that are super spooky and disturbing, so really really excited and happy that this season begins. 👻 Here in Argentina, there’s no such thing as Halloween, so I’ll be celebrating it on my own, like every year!!! and I hope you stay there all this month accompanying me, I’ve planned some spooky recommendations and other posts that I’m really excited about to share with you, so stay tuned, it will be a beautiful and creepy month! 🥳 As always before I start to tell you a bit about my plans for the month, I want to thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for all the support and love you have given me the previous month, I’m SOOOO happy to have you in my life, you have no idea, this blog means the world for me, as well as being part of this community that’s so wonderful. 💞 I LOVE YOU, ALWAYS & ALWAYS. 🥺 🥺 🥺
So, I plan this month to participate in two readathons, I really couldn’t choose only one and LOVE the ideas of both, the creators have been super original and you can see both have worked so hard, so I want to give my support by participating, it will be SO MUCH FUN. 👏🏻 The first will be Hocus Pocus Readathon 🧙🏻♀️, a Readathon that I’m sure you’ve heard mentioned, is created by @pagesnink and @werewolflious & takes place from October 1st until the 31st. I LOVE that in this Readathon we have Teams: “Team Sanderson Sisters”, “Team Undead” & “Team Trick or Treaters”. Each Team has its own prompts, as well as each Team also has a Strength and a Weakness, all of which is perfectly detailed on Twitter, where you’ll find a thread with all the information you need to know, also where you can join to win points for your team. In my case, I’ll be #TEAMSANDERSONSISTERS and super excited for my team, and I have a very exciting stack to share with you later. On the other hand, we have Gothtober Readathon 💀, which let me tell you, it has some BEAUTIFUL graphics, you can see the work put into it and I simply love each of the promps that I’ll later be sharing with you. This Gothic Readathon is hosted by @ladette_M, @Oliviascatastro, and @llittlewolf_ & will be taking place throughout the whole month of October as well. This also has a wonderful thread on Twitterwhere you can go to see all the info and also some recommendations for each prompt, which I’ll share with you below.
I’ve been able to put together a stack with books that I’ll be convincing and repeating for many of the prompts of both Readathons, so I don’t have to read one for each prompt because it would be impossible for me to do so. But I’m really happy with what I accomplished, I have a decent stack of spooky books that I’m very excited to read. 🥰 To be honest with you I’ll not be prioritizing my ARCs this month, I want to mention it directly because I have to be true to myself and this month I feel like I want to read other things, and that’s fine, even so, I always enjoy my ARCs and love the possibility of being able to be approved for each one of them, so I’ll read more in November. 😊 And I think that’s it, hope I don’t forget to mention anything, I’m super excited about jumping right into what’s important right and sharing ALL my readings for this month with you, so without further ado, make yourself comfortable, prepare a delicious coffee & LET’S START! 🎃
🔥 Hi guys, I hope you’re having a wonderful day, surrounded by the best readings!! ❤️ Today I’m bringing you one of my favorite posts where I show you my most anticipated new releases of the month. 🥰 I’m SO excited to be this 2020 sharing with you, is really a blessing, so I hope you enjoy these posts and find some new books to add to your endless TBR because as I always say: Good for the soul but bad for the wallet, right? But it’s what we love …BOOKS AND MORE BOOKS, so I hope you enjoy it. The books I choose to add here are just some that I would love to read at some point because they sound like something I’ll personally enjoy, so without more further ado, let’s start! 🔥
☀️ Many of the releases were already ready to come out in September have been postponed due to COVID and due to everything that’s happening in the world right now. So I’ll let you know if some of these dates change, as well as I’ll not be including some of those titles that have already been confirmed as postponed 😊
🌒 Hi, guys! I hope you’re having the most wonderful day, surrounded by AMAZING readings.❤️ Today I’m more than excited because as you’ll see from the title I’ll be sharing with you the most spooky books of my TBR, that could become possible readings for Halloween season in October!I know you’re probably thinking “Sofi, it’s August, are you okay?” lol and YES, I KNOW! 😅 But I couldn’t stop thinking about how much I want to read that kind of spooky, creepy, atmospherically engaging plotline. So I thought, even though it’s August and October is still a little while away, it would be fun to gather my possible readings for Halloween and, by the way, know your opinions on each book on my list and thus be able to create a scary stack to read in the future. 😍 Also, of course, I’d love to hear your spooky recommendations for me, as I’m ready to add them all to my TBR.
When I have in mind reading something spooky in general I think of a spooky atmosphere that keeps you on the edge of the seat wanting to know what will happen, I also love anything that has to do with witches, it’s my jam & of course, weird and dark plots. So you’ll find a bit of all of that on my list today. 😊
I hope you like the idea, that you can enjoy the post, and that you especially find new readings for your own TBR! 🙌🏻 You know that I would love to know everything you think in the comments, it will be a lot of fun, so let’s START! 🌒 Read More »
