Top 5 | Books with Shocking & Impressive Writing Styles 🌪

🌪 Hello friends, I hope you’re having a great day, full of the best reading! ❤️ Today as always, I’m super excited to bring you a new post to the blog, this time one dedicated to the authors of these books more than the books themselves, you know? 👏🏻 It will be about those books that impacted me a lot or left me blow away because of their outstanding and impressive writing styles, so because we’ll be talking about writing styles, we’ll talk about the talent that these authors have when creating stories, this time I’ll highlight five different authors and five of what I personally think are their best works so far. 😍
This post will obviously be 100% my personal opinion, I know we all have different views about these authors and the books I’ll mention, and that’s fine, but I still wanted to make it clear.
In this case, I have unwittingly and unintentionally chosen five authors of whom I have already read more than one book, and I think that somehow that has made me really impressed with their level of writing, which has only been growing and evolving for the better. 😊
Besides that, I love these five stories, and I think they’re pretty heart-hitting, which I didn’t do on purpose either, lol, but I guess they’re my kind of book, so it makes sense that they’re the ones I’ve chosen. ⚡️

What do I mean by “Shocking Writing Styles”? 🤔 Well, with this, and as I already mentioned as my personal opinion, they’re those styles that leave me really impressed, and with that “WOW” feeling after reading them, you know? They’re those readings that make me feel almost present inside the stories and super close to the characters, those that invite me to get really involved with what’s happening and feel each situation like my own, you know? Those kinds of feelings of realism and engagement are, for me, feelings that only a very advanced and good writing style can achieve. 🙌🏻 🙌🏻 🙌🏻 Sometimes this kind of reading can take you through a lot of emotions even, and that’s a big plus for me, because I’m that kind of reader that likes to feel very intensely what’s happening when I read a book; otherwise it can still be an enjoyable and light reading, but it won’t have that same meaning for me.
As the last point and to start the post, I want to clarify that with all this, I don’t think that the lightest and funniest readings can’t have an incredible writing style; in fact, I don’t think it has anything to do with that, but most with the author’s personal style and their way of telling stories.
 🤩

Now yes, without further ado, I hope you can find new readings to add to your TBR, readings that I hope will take you to travel incredible journeys, dream, love, cry and live unforgettable moments together with the characters. 🥰 I love YOU 💕, thanks for the love of always & now yes, I hope you enjoy it and LET’S BEGIN!!! 🌪

August Wrap Up | #ARCAugust, Latinx Readathon & Goodbye Reading Slump ❄️

❄️ Hi guys! I hope you’re having a beautiful day full of good readings.❤️ Today I bring you a new post… my August Wrap Up! where I’ll tell you ALL about my readings of the month. At last, guys, I can come with good news about my reading because August was the month where I was finally able to defeat my Reading Slump and I was able to enjoy the reading process without any problems, so I’m very happy and excited for the months to come! 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻 I think July was the month where I was trying to get out of my reading slump, but August is the month where I finally felt like I was able to really do it. Therefore and thanks to this, my month has been incredible in terms of readings and I’ve quite enjoyed most of the books I’ve read which is even better, in fact, I’ve given my second 5 stars of the year, this it’s not a drill!, and I’m super excited to tell you everything about it. 😊

This August I’ve participated in two “challenges” the first has been ARC August which is all about, as its name suggests, about reading ARCs and getting up to date with them, and I think I’ve done a pretty good job with this one, I haven’t read every ARC that I had on my list, but I do have read I think half of them, which is already quite positive & on the other hand, I’ve participated in Latinx Readathon, which is an incredible Readathon where we have a Bingo Board and we must read each book by Latinx authors for each promp (you can find more information about it HERE) and as I completely loved the idea, I wanted to support it by participating and I completed my personal challenge with this one, which was completing a bingo line… so YAY! Besides this, I enjoyed every book I read and that makes me very happy. 🥳

Besides that it has been a great month in terms of my readings, I want to take a moment as always, to thank the beautiful support that each of you gives me every day and every month with my blog. It’s a blessing to have this space and also that my works are respected means a lot, so THANK YOU SO MUCH, Amores, I’ve had the chance to meet new incredible bookish people in August, and that’s really exciting, so I look forward to a September full of love and full of support. 🥺 🥺 🥺

So, going into more detail about my readings this month, we have a great variety that has even inspired me to create new challenges to try in the future and share it with you here on the blog. 😍
First, we have some ARCs that I really liked,
two of them are incredible fantasy/paranormal sequels where both stories evolve a lot & the other ARC was a sad disappointment, a great promise but a poor execution.
Then we have three wonderful Latinx books that I’ve loved,
one of them is a romantic and super light short novel, the other is a shocking and raw anthology that will make you think & finally my new 5 stars: an absolutely meaningful story about how to forgive and move on.
Then I was also able to finish a book that I had been reading since July and I really enjoyed that one, a brilliant and gloomy plot & I also chose one of the books from my “Back-Up Pile”, which
was another sequel that I was dying to read and I ended up adoring it.

So without further ado, LET’S GET STARTED! I’m super excited to share with you all my thoughts about each of these books & I hope you enjoy it. ❄️

August TBR | #ARCAugust, Latinx Readathon & Trying a New Category! ❄️

❄️ Hi, my beautiful bookish friends! I hope you’re having the most incredible day with the best readings.❤️ Today I bring you a new Monthly TBR, where I share with you my reading plans for the month of August. SO excited to be sharing another month of possible readings with you, I always have SO MUCH FUN! Ok, so this month I’ve planned a somewhat ambitious TBR… maybe, I know I’m coming out of my Reading Slump, so all these plans are always keeping in mind that I want to take it easy, but I still wanted to add a little more book options than I usually put, since I’ll be inaugurating a new section in my TBRs from now on, which I hope will help me to be more relaxed with respect to my lists and have a greater variety of options according to my mood. 🤩 Super excited to share it s with you but before, I want to come back to thank you for the incredible July that you’ve made me go through, filled with love and support… THANK YOU, my beautiful friends, here for an even better August. 👏🏻 You know that if you want me to support you with anything you can send me an e-mail or find me on Twitter, I’m always more than happy to give you a hand with what I can & I’ll be doing a LOT of blogs hopping this month, I’m looking forward to seeing that it’s been happening on your blog!  😍

So going back to my reading this August, I have many plans!! First, I want to participate in #ARCAugust because it’s the perfect time to read as many ARCs as possible and so feel more relaxed about it, catching up with them. I have a selection of ARCs that I’m really excited about, I have several sequels, so I’m very much looking forward to seeing what will happen in these stories.
Then I’ll also be participating in the Latinx Readathon, a Readathon hosted by Sofia (Aelin’s Kingdom), Nikkie (Nikkie Reads), Jane Josée (Big Black Books) & ( lou reading things ), I leave you all the links so that you follow these wonderful girls & this Readathon is obviously all about reading books by Latinx authors and/or that the book contains some kind of Latinx representation in them, but it also includes many super fun proms in an incredible bingo that the girls have created. My decision to participate was a last-minute thing because I didn’t know about Readathon, but when I knew it I really had to do it to show my support for this incredible idea and as Latina, I feel super proud of this incredible work, so if you want to join in it’s not too late, you can do it simply by picking up a book from a Latinx author. All the information is in the Twitter account, which you can access by clicking on the name itself and I hope you like it and decide to support the idea! ❤️
I know it will not be possible for me to read a book for each on of the promps because they’re many, so I decided to do a bingo line and I’ll be reading 3 books for that, which I’ll share with you in a moment and I almost forgot, the readathon takes place throughout the whole month of August. 😊

And finally, because this is getting long (to no one’s surprise 😂 ) I want to share with you my new section, where I’ll be piling even more books to add to my TBR, I know it sounds crazy, but my idea is something like this: This section will be called “The Back-Up Pile” in there I’ll have a mini-list with possible readings, what does this mean? Well, sometimes and after going through my reading slump, I realized that my reading mood has been changing a lot and sometimes I don’t feel really motivated to read something that’s already in my TBR originally or maybe I just want to change the genre, so I thought it would be a good idea to have a backup list where I can choose some readings that I already own, some that remain from my past TBR and I didn’t get to read or just new buys and releases that I’m really excited about, in this way I think my TBRs will be more fun and didactical & I’ll also have more options just in case I feel like reading something different during the month.  🥰
I hope you get what I mean, I know it sounds a bit messy, but once I show it to you I know you’ll understand better. Let me know in the comments if you like the idea, if it would be something that would work for you or if you would like to try it, I would love that & obviously, let me know everything about the books in this section, I would LOVE to know your thoughts!  😍

Now, without further ado, I LOVE YOU  🌻 & let the books party begin! ❄️ Read More »

September Wrap Up || Contemporary-a-Thon & My Best Reading Month So far? || 2019 🌻

🌻 Hi guys!! I hope you’re having the best day & you’re enjoying your reading 💞 Today I bring you my beloved Wrap Up of the month of September, where I’ll talk about all the books I’ve read during the month. OMG, this month really flew by, I mean, where did it go? It seems yesterday when it was just beginning, it’s crazy. Being totally honest right now, I’ve nothing really crazy or excited to tell you about this month in terms of my life as such, I’m SO boring 😅, it was quiet, relaxing I guess, and I’ve been trying to connect more with myself during September, I’ve been meditating, which is really helping me a lot with my anxiety. Spring began where I live, so right now I’m quite envious of all those who are going through my beautiful Autumn 🍂 , I swear that autumn is my favorite season, I love the landscapes and the weather a lot, so enjoy it for me. 😭
As you know, I’ve changed many things on the blog and it makes me happy that most of you liked, honestly. 🥰

In terms of reading month, has really been an AMAZING month, in fact, it’s my best month of the year so far 🎊, if I know, WHAT! LOL. I’m super excited, I didn’t expect to read so much cause I had honestly gone into this weird moment where I didn’t know what I wanted to read and wasn’t sure, so I decided to follow my intuition and it was perfect, I found books that I LOVED, so I really can’t complain. You’ll see a little as I did in terms of number in my statistics section, but I’m really very pleased with what I’ve achieved because even though I have several short books, I’m proud of myself. 😊
I’ve read the ARCs that I set out to, so that’s always good, I have a couple of short stories that have surprised me, both for good and for bad, actually. Then we have another small stack of books that were very anticipated by me, and I think that in general, I’ve enjoyed most of the things I’ve read. I’ve even given a couple of 5 stars, and you know that’s weird for me, so YAY, celebrate with me!!! 🥳
I participated, as always, in the Contemporary-a-Thon, in the link you can see all the information related to it, and the truth is that I LOVE this read-a-thon, it’s one of my favorites, I always find very good books when I participate and this time wasn’t the exception. In fact, OMG, I almost forgot to mention it, a miracle happened and you know what? … I COMPLETED ALL THE CHALLENGES!! *victory dance*
I think that setting a more realistic goal was a good idea, so super happy with the results.
I’m dying to start talking to you about the books, tell you a little about my statistics and share some of my faves post of the month. So, let’s start! 🌻 Read More »

Contemporary-A-Thon TBR || Round #5 || 2019 💛

🌟 Hi, my beautiful bookish people, I hope you’re having an incredible start to the week, full of light and good energy, I send you from here all my love! 💕  Today I bring you as you can see by the title my TBR for this fifth round of the Contemporary-A-Thon, I’d already told you that I would be participating so it’s not a surprise, but I hadn’t yet show you what I’ll be reading, so this post is exclusively for this and so, of course, for you to tell me if you’ll be participating and what you’ll be reading! I would love to know. 😊
Contemporary-A-Thon is a read-a-thon that I’ve already participated in a couple of times and I really LOVE it, you know that I love fantasy so sometimes I forget about my contemporary books a bit and this is the perfect opportunity for me to concentrate on them and try to read some. I know that I’m not a fast reader so because of this, I’ll not be making an impossibly long TBR, on the contrary, I’ve put together a list where I could comfortably pass all the challenges finishing only 1 book, obviously that wouldn’t be fun, so I’m adding 2 books more, so I have a TBR of 3 books, so I’m quite pleased with my small stack and I’m very excited to talk to you about them.
it’s going to be running from Monday 9/23 to Sunday 9/29, so if you want to know more about it and you want to participate, then I’ll leave Chelsea’s video here below, where you can clarify all your doubts and you can also see the promps. 👏🏻
I know that the read-a-thon starts today, but I don’t know if I can start it lol, maybe I’ll start tomorrow because today is my 7 year anniversary with my boyfriend and obviously we ll be celebrating that and I’m probably not even be at home today, but I’ll try and do my best, the important thing is having fun, right?. Now, without further ado, let’s start!🌟Read More »
