Top 10 | 5 Stars-Worthy Contemporary Books πŸŒΊ

🌺 Hi, guys! I hope you’re having a beautiful day, full of good readings!! I want to know what you’re currently reading, actually, so let me know below in the comments.❀️ Today I’m super excited about this post because I haven’t brought you a recommendation list in a while, and I LOVE to do it, so I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.Β πŸ™ŒπŸ» This time I’m focused on contemporary books either within the YA or Adult genre, specifically those that under my point of view are the most faithful to the contemporary genre itself, this means that I’ll leave out those titles that play a little with paranormal aspects or with magic because even when I LOVE those books, I wanted to focus on the genre as such, but of course, I’ll be bringing you more lists in the future, so that we can talk a little more about other genres and mixtures of them. 😍  The important thing and what I want to highlight from this list is that they’re, for me, all books that are worth the 5 stars, what do I mean by this? That they’re just WONDERFUL books, that either because they’re so unique due to their plot or characters, managed to touch my heart and stay with me throughout time.Β All these books mean a lot to me, they’ve managed to transmit me from happiness to sadness in the most real and even beautiful ways, that’s why I want to recommend them today with the hope that you may decide to read them at some point because I KNOW you’ll love them.Β πŸ₯° I also thought it fun to make a list with books that I think would be incredible for your beginning of the year, since they’re SUPER outstanding books for me, they would be incredible first readings for this 2021, cause what better way to start a new year that with books that can be 5 stars, right? Β πŸ‘πŸ»Β πŸ‘πŸ»Β πŸ‘πŸ»
Thank you SO MUCH, my friends, for always being there for me even though my life is a bit crazy right now, you’re INCREDIBLE and I’ll not get tired of saying itΒ πŸ’•, I hope you enjoy today’s post a lot & that you decide to leave me all your thoughts, you know that I LOVE to chat with you! Now, without further ado, make yourself comfortable, I hope you have your favorite drink on hand because WE’RE STARTING!

Β πŸ’§Β Hi, guys, I hope you’re having the most wonderful day, full of good readings and precious moments.❀️ Today I’m super excited because I come with a new TOP 10 and it has been a long time since I made one so, YAY! You already know that you can take this type of tops as recommendations too because they’re books that I love deeply and I’m always recommending, so I would be more than happy if you added them to your TBR. 😍
So, as I was saying, this time
I bring you a top 10 where I’ll share with you all those books that when reading them made me feel many emotions, from that happy feeling in my belly to that sad feeling that breaks your heart, but in any case, are wonderful stories that I have no doubts will touch your soul and will make you feel MANY things. 😭
I was inspired to do this post because recently in a book tag
I mentioned that I loved books that made me cry, and I thought it would be an unpopular opinion, but it ended up being a surprise to me because many of you mentioned that you also love books that make you feel emotional in a sad way, but at the same time, it makes you feel more connected with the story and you can put yourself in the characters’ shoes, you know? it’s a beautiful feeling. With some of these books I’ve cried, of course, but with all of them I’ve felt that feeling of WOW, it broke my heart but in the best way, if there’s such a thing πŸ˜‚Β

August Wrap Up | #ARCAugust, Latinx Readathon & Goodbye Reading Slump β„️

❄️ Hi guys! I hope you’re having a beautiful day full of good readings.❀️ Today I bring you a new post… my August Wrap Up! where I’ll tell you ALL about my readings of the month. At last, guys, I can come with good news about my reading because August was the month where I was finally able to defeat my Reading Slump and I was able to enjoy the reading process without any problems, so I’m very happy and excited for the months to come! πŸ‘πŸ» πŸ‘πŸ» πŸ‘πŸ» I think July was the month where I was trying to get out of my reading slump, but August is the month where I finally felt like I was able to really do it. Therefore and thanks to this, my month has been incredible in terms of readings and I’ve quite enjoyed most of the books I’ve read which is even better, in fact, I’ve given my second 5 stars of the year, this it’s not a drill!, and I’m super excited to tell you everything about it. πŸ˜Š

This August I’ve participated in two “challenges” the first has been ARC August which is all about, as its name suggests, about reading ARCs and getting up to date with them, and I think I’ve done a pretty good job with this one, I haven’t read every ARC that I had on my list, but I do have read I think half of them, which is already quite positive & on the other hand, I’ve participated in Latinx Readathon, which is an incredible Readathon where we have a Bingo Board and we must read each book by Latinx authors for each promp (you can find more information about it HERE) and as I completely loved the idea, I wanted to support it by participating and I completed my personal challenge with this one, which was completing a bingo line… so YAY! Besides this, I enjoyed every book I read and that makes me very happy. πŸ₯³

Besides that it has been a great month in terms of my readings, I want to take a moment as always, to thank the beautiful support that each of you gives me every day and every month with my blog. It’s a blessing to have this space and also that my works are respected means a lot, so THANK YOU SO MUCH, Amores, I’ve had the chance to meet new incredible bookish people in August, and that’s really exciting, so I look forward to a September full of love and full of support. πŸ₯Ί πŸ₯Ί πŸ₯Ί

So, going into more detail about my readings this month, we have a great variety that has even inspired me to create new challenges to try in the future and share it with you here on the blog. πŸ˜
First, we have some ARCs that I really liked,
two of them are incredible fantasy/paranormal sequels where both stories evolve a lot & the other ARC was a sad disappointment, a great promise but a poor execution.
Then we have three wonderful Latinx books that I’ve loved,
one of them is a romantic and super light short novel, the other is a shocking and raw anthology that will make you think & finally my new 5 stars: an absolutely meaningful story about how to forgive and move on.
Then I was also able to finish a book that I had been reading since July and I really enjoyed that one, a brilliant and gloomy plot & I also chose one of the books from my “Back-Up Pile”, which
was another sequel that I was dying to read and I ended up adoring it.

So without further ado, LET’S GET STARTED! I’m super excited to share with you all my thoughts about each of these books & I hope you enjoy it. ❄️

Book Recommendations | Standalone Books Edition πŸŒ²

πŸŒ² Hi, guys! I hope you’re having the most wonderful day, having incredible moments, and reading the best books.❀️ Today as it’s Friday I feel like bringing you a fun recommendation post of those that I LOVE creating & sharing with you, so we can have a relaxed moment and hopefully add a lot of books to your TBR. I realized that 2 years ago I finished with my series where I recommended only standalone books, and OMG, I can’t believe I didn’t make another list of my recommendations in two years. πŸ˜² Obviously, I’ve already read many more standalone books to share with you and I’m very excited to bring you these types of lists because I know that sometimes it can be a challenge to choose what to read next, right? so I want you to have a resource here on my blog and a small place where you can go if you need recommendations. πŸ‘πŸ»

So how will this be? You know that I like to give a special touch and a different thing to my recommendation posts since I want it to be a fun experience for you and that you can also really feel they’re more personalized recommendations where I think that hopefully, you can find the perfect book just for you. πŸ’•  That’s why this time I’ve decided to classify the books by categories according to how they’ve made me feel while reading them so you can find the one that resonates best with you and your reading tastes. For example, I have classified those standalone with a magical touch, those more complex and you can even find some lighter ones to enjoy.  πŸ˜Š

If you want to know my complete thoughts on each of the books you can do so by clicking on the names of the books, which will take you directly to my review without spoilers  πŸ™ŒπŸ»

I hope you like this idea very much, I always try to bring you the best of me and that we can have a good time together and chat a little about books because that’s why we are here, right?  πŸ₯°

August TBR | #ARCAugust, Latinx Readathon & Trying a New Category! β„️

❄️ Hi, my beautiful bookish friends! I hope you’re having the most incredible day with the best readings.❀️ Today I bring you a new Monthly TBR, where I share with you my reading plans for the month of August. SO excited to be sharing another month of possible readings with you, I always have SO MUCH FUN! Ok, so this month I’ve planned a somewhat ambitious TBR… maybe, I know I’m coming out of my Reading Slump, so all these plans are always keeping in mind that I want to take it easy, but I still wanted to add a little more book options than I usually put, since I’ll be inaugurating a new section in my TBRs from now on, which I hope will help me to be more relaxed with respect to my lists and have a greater variety of options according to my mood. πŸ€© Super excited to share it s with you but before, I want to come back to thank you for the incredible July that you’ve made me go through, filled with love and support… THANK YOU, my beautiful friends, here for an even better August. πŸ‘πŸ» You know that if you want me to support you with anything you can send me an e-mail or find me on Twitter, I’m always more than happy to give you a hand with what I can & I’ll be doing a LOT of blogs hopping this month, I’m looking forward to seeing that it’s been happening on your blog!  πŸ˜

So going back to my reading this August, I have many plans!! First, I want to participate in #ARCAugust because it’s the perfect time to read as many ARCs as possible and so feel more relaxed about it, catching up with them. I have a selection of ARCs that I’m really excited about, I have several sequels, so I’m very much looking forward to seeing what will happen in these stories.
Then I’ll also be participating in the Latinx Readathon, a Readathon hosted by Sofia (Aelin’s Kingdom), Nikkie (Nikkie Reads), Jane JosΓ©e (Big Black Books) & ( lou reading things ), I leave you all the links so that you follow these wonderful girls & this Readathon is obviously all about reading books by Latinx authors and/or that the book contains some kind of Latinx representation in them, but it also includes many super fun proms in an incredible bingo that the girls have created. My decision to participate was a last-minute thing because I didn’t know about Readathon, but when I knew it I really had to do it to show my support for this incredible idea and as Latina, I feel super proud of this incredible work, so if you want to join in it’s not too late, you can do it simply by picking up a book from a Latinx author. All the information is in the Twitter account, which you can access by clicking on the name itself and I hope you like it and decide to support the idea! ❀️
I know it will not be possible for me to read a book for each on of the promps because they’re many, so I decided to do a bingo line and I’ll be reading 3 books for that, which I’ll share with you in a moment and I almost forgot, the readathon takes place throughout the whole month of August. πŸ˜Š

And finally, because this is getting long (to no one’s surprise πŸ˜‚ ) I want to share with you my new section, where I’ll be piling even more books to add to my TBR, I know it sounds crazy, but my idea is something like this: This section will be called “The Back-Up Pile” in there I’ll have a mini-list with possible readings, what does this mean? Well, sometimes and after going through my reading slump, I realized that my reading mood has been changing a lot and sometimes I don’t feel really motivated to read something that’s already in my TBR originally or maybe I just want to change the genre, so I thought it would be a good idea to have a backup list where I can choose some readings that I already own, some that remain from my past TBR and I didn’t get to read or just new buys and releases that I’m really excited about, in this way I think my TBRs will be more fun and didactical & I’ll also have more options just in case I feel like reading something different during the month.  πŸ₯°
I hope you get what I mean, I know it sounds a bit messy, but once I show it to you I know you’ll understand better. Let me know in the comments if you like the idea, if it would be something that would work for you or if you would like to try it, I would love that & obviously, let me know everything about the books in this section, I would LOVE to know your thoughts!  πŸ˜

Now, without further ado, I LOVE YOU  πŸŒ» & let the books party begin! ❄️ Read More »

2020 Book Releases by Black Authors & Resources to Help and Support βš‘️

⚑️ Hi, guys! I hope you’re having a beautiful day and you’re enjoying your readings.❀️ Today I’ve decided to bring you an extensive list with many 2020 releases of books written by black authors. As a blogger I think it’s my responsibility to use my platform to support and raise the voices of those who need it most right now, I’ve already done this in my wrap up & my social media, but I felt that I could give more and do more, so as my blog is about books, I’ve been collecting many incredible releases that you can enjoy and add to your TBR to somehow put a little of us at this difficult time supporting 100% black authors with their literary projects. I’ve seen that many fellow book bloggers have been doing this and also other types of posts talking about the #BlackLivesMatter movement and I think it’s wonderful, don’t think that because you have little reach or few followers, you’re not helping, on the contrary, it’s our duty as citizens and even more In our places of privilege to raise our voices right now, it’s not time to stay silent, so I invite you to also spread the word and give power to the movement by sharing links on all your social networks, signing petitions, making donations, or as you can, we can all help at this time so please do so. This is a social problem of racism, not a political thing as I’ve been hearing so it’s our duty to really raise the voices of the black community right now. There are no excuses.⚑️ Read More »
