I hope to finish it this weekend and upload a review about it (hopefully)

Besides, who doesn’t want a good stand-alone sometimes, right?.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week. It’s a great post to organise yourself. It’s an opportunity to visit and comment, and er… add to that ever growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye’s Blog and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date. And here we are!

Trudchen grew up hearing Odette’s stories of their monster-slaying mother and a magician’s curse. But now that Tru’s older, she’s starting to wonder if her older sister’s tales were just comforting lies, especially because there’s nothing fantastic about her own life—permanently disabled and in constant pain from childhood polio.
In 1909, after a two-year absence, Od reappears with a suitcase supposedly full of weapons and a promise to rescue Tru from the monsters on their way to attack her. But it’s Od who seems haunted by something. And when the sisters’ search for their mother leads them to a face-off with the Leeds Devil, a nightmarish beast that’s wreaking havoc in the Mid-Atlantic states, Tru discovers the peculiar possibility that she and her sister—despite their dark pasts and ordinary appearances—might, indeed, have magic after all.
Hi babes !, I hope you’re having a great day. Today I bring you my TBR of the month of August, where I tell you about the readings that I have planned for this month. I was thinking a lot about maybe I would only do an ARC august as I’ve seen many of you doing it, because I really have to catch up with them, but if I say it will be just an Arc month it would be a lie because I really want to show you other readings that I really want to read this month, so it will only be as I always do, a little Arcs and some other books that I’ve pick up from my jar.
I’m already reading 2 of the books on the list, but I’ll tell you which they are later, I really felt very eager to read these days so I was taking advantage of that humor that’s why I’ve started with them and I’m super excited, so without further ado let’s start!Read More »
