August Wrap Up & September TBR | Some Witchy Books, Unexpected Ratings, Polarized Reading & Taking a few Weeks Off ๐ŸŒบ

ย ๐ŸŒบย Hi, guys! I hope youโ€™re having a wonderful day filled with the best readings & obviously, I hope you all had a beautiful past month! Today Iโ€™ve returned with one of my favorite posts to share with you my Wrap Up of the month, where I tell you all about what Iโ€™ve read during the month of August, plus: What Iโ€™m going to read in the month of September!. I think I repeat this every month, so I’m sorry, but OMG, I can’t believe we’re already so close to the end of 2021! it’s crazy!ย ๐Ÿ˜ฒ I hope from the bottom of my heart that you’re all safe and healthy, and have been able to get vaccinated if you wanted to, personally I’ve already had the first dose, so I’m more relaxed now, I’m waiting to be called for the second and luckily I haven’t had any symptoms or anything, so a very good experience. In other news, the month of August has been super quiet for me in my personal life, honestly nothing super amazing has happened but luckily, I did have been feeling very well physically, I’ve returned to be more active and walk which I haven’t done for a while, and that’s very good for me.ย ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ๐ŸŒŸ I also want to thank everyone deeply because it has been a very good month for the blog and I’ve been seeing a much more active flow of new people joining the family and that makes me very happy and I’m honestly flattered that you subscribe to the blog and check my posts, I love this space and all the wonderful people I’ve met through it.ย ๐Ÿฅบ๐Ÿ’•

I’ve embarked this month on a new challenge in terms of reading, where I’ll be reading some favorite books from other book bloggers, which I’m very excited about, and I’ve already made some progress on that TBR specifically so I’m super happy, anyway I’ll share more about it in another post.ย ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป I’m looking forward to creating weekly posts where I keep you updated with this challenge maybe, or updating it as well, something will come up, but I promise to keep you posted on all of that. In terms of reading in general, you know I’ve already shared with you that this year has been very busy for me, so I haven’t had as much time as I’d like to read as such so I’ve taken this stance of reading what I can, and being patient with myself, and celebrating every little victory, you know? Still with this mentality I managed to read a bit more than I had planned so YAY!ย ๐ŸŽ‰ I’d say it was a very successful month in terms of reading.ย ๐Ÿ˜„ย
As for the quality of these readings, it’s been a month of highs and lows,
I have some books that really impressed me, some genres that I’m not usually used to reading that I loved, and others that I expected a lot from and really disappointed me, so there’s a little bit of everything here to talk about and analyze today. We have a bit of romance, a bit of sci-fi, mystery and above all a lot of magic! Would I really be myself if I didn’t read stuff about witches?โ€ฆit’s literally all I’ve been reading this year ๐Ÿ˜….

โ€ผ๏ธย Another thing I want to share with you before starting with the post, is that I’ll be taking 2 weeks off in September where I won’t be uploading anything to the blog, I might read a little but I don’t really promise anything, you’ll see that my TBR for the month is very general because I don’t even know how much I’ll actually read, but well, this is something I do every year together with my boyfriend and we take the opportunity to relax, visit our families and really be with each other, so maybe during those two weeks reading won’t be exactly my priority, and that’s perfectly fine. TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF & TAKE BREAKS is SO important for your mental health! โค๏ธโค๏ธย
Still, I’ll be back with my reading updates for you, and obviously I’ll share a bit of those books that could be in my stack.

Now without further ado, thank you for being there on the other side supporting me, I LOVE YOU!!!ย ๐Ÿฅฐ I have the best readers and this is by far the best community, so super honored to belong & I hope you obviously enjoy today’s post, and let me know all your thoughts in the comments. Now yes, LET’S GET STARTED!ย ๐ŸŒบย

August Wrap Up | #ARCAugust, Latinx Readathon & Goodbye Reading Slump โ„๏ธ

โ„๏ธ Hi guys! I hope you’re having a beautiful day full of good readings.โค๏ธ Today I bring you a new postโ€ฆ my August Wrap Up! where Iโ€™ll tell you ALL about my readings of the month. At last, guys, I can come with good news about my reading because August was the month where I was finally able to defeat my Reading Slump and I was able to enjoy the reading process without any problems, so I’m very happy and excited for the months to come! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป I think July was the month where I was trying to get out of my reading slump, but August is the month where I finally felt like I was able to really do it. Therefore and thanks to this, my month has been incredible in terms of readings and I’ve quite enjoyed most of the books I’ve read which is even better, in fact, I’ve given my second 5 stars of the year, this it’s not a drill!, and I’m super excited to tell you everything about it. ๐Ÿ˜Š

This August I’ve participated in two “challenges” the first has been ARC August which is all about, as its name suggests, about reading ARCs and getting up to date with them, and I think I’ve done a pretty good job with this one, I haven’t read every ARC that I had on my list, but I do have read I think half of them, which is already quite positive & on the other hand, I’ve participated in Latinx Readathon, which is an incredible Readathon where we have a Bingo Board and we must read each book by Latinx authors for each promp (you can find more information about it HERE) and as I completely loved the idea, I wanted to support it by participating and I completed my personal challenge with this one, which was completing a bingo lineโ€ฆ so YAY! Besides this, I enjoyed every book I read and that makes me very happy. ๐Ÿฅณ

Besides that it has been a great month in terms of my readings, I want to take a moment as always, to thank the beautiful support that each of you gives me every day and every month with my blog. It’s a blessing to have this space and also that my works are respected means a lot, so THANK YOU SO MUCH, Amores, I’ve had the chance to meet new incredible bookish people in August, and that’s really exciting, so I look forward to a September full of love and full of support. ๐Ÿฅบ ๐Ÿฅบ ๐Ÿฅบ

So, going into more detail about my readings this month, we have a great variety that has even inspired me to create new challenges to try in the future and share it with you here on the blog. ๐Ÿ˜
First, we have some ARCs that I really liked,
two of them are incredible fantasy/paranormal sequels where both stories evolve a lot & the other ARC was a sad disappointment, a great promise but a poor execution.
Then we have three wonderful Latinx books that I’ve loved,
one of them is a romantic and super light short novel, the other is a shocking and raw anthology that will make you think & finally my new 5 stars: an absolutely meaningful story about how to forgive and move on.
Then I was also able to finish a book that I had been reading since July and I really enjoyed that one, a brilliant and gloomy plot & I also chose one of the books from my “Back-Up Pile”, which
was another sequel that I was dying to read and I ended up adoring it.

So without further ado, LET’S GET STARTED! I’m super excited to share with you all my thoughts about each of these books & I hope you enjoy it. โ„๏ธ

August Wrap Up || N.E.W.TS ๐Ÿ’ซ, Trying My First Audio- Book & Renewing My Blog’s Image || 2019 ||โ„๏ธ

โ„๏ธ Hi guys!! I hope youโ€™re having the best day & youโ€™re enjoying your reading ๐Ÿ’ž Today I bring you our beloved Wrap Up of the month of August where Iโ€™ll talk about all the books Iโ€™ve read during the month. Well, this has certainly been a wild month for me, I’ve had very bad times, I’ve managed to cope with them, both with your help and my family’s, today I’m optimistic and positive, ready for what life has prepared for me in the future. ๐ŸŒป
I don’t want to make this an endless post, but I still wouldn’t want to start without thanking you for being there when I lost my job and needed a few days for myself, for being understanding and so warm with me, I swear you’re an angel and my safe place, I LOVE YOU.โค๏ธ

Despite this, I’ve made the decision this month, finally, to changed a little the blog, so I’ve given it a new look, I know it’s different but I like it. I think it represents me well, it’s simple but romantic and delicate, I hope you like it as well. I haven’t finished yet, there are several things I want to do as I get used to the new thing, but I’m still researching and learning how all this works, I’m not a designer and I don’t know much about informatics or those things, so sometimes it gets complicated, but I‘m having fun changing some simple things and I feel energetic to make this a small new beginning for the blog, so I can’t wait. ๐Ÿ˜Š
In addition to having renewed the image, I’ve also bought my own domain and I’ve got a premium plan here on WordPress, my idea is to try for a year and see how I feel about it and see what changes and differences I can get. I know it’s not necessary to have this kind of plan to be a good blogger, I don’t think that at all, but I wanted to take this as a new experience and a one-year adventure and see how I feel about it. You know that I love my blog and being here with you, so I feel it’s more like an investment, and that’s super exciting to me. ๐Ÿฅฐ ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

I’m a little late with my posts, in general, so don’t worry everything will come but a little later, I still have to plan my TBR, but I’ll talk more about it in another post and I also have to write a review of a book that I loved, which I’ll talk more about next! ๐Ÿ˜
So, speaking about my readings of the month, I’m very happy with everything I’ve read and how my month has been in that regard. Sadly, I failed just for one book to complete my TBR, but I’m still happy for what I achieved. ๐Ÿ“š I’m SO happy because I’ve managed to read ALL the ARCs that I set out to. I also listened to my first audiobook and OMG, it was an INCREDIBLE experience, I really enjoyed it, so I hope to continue listening, maybe one per month or something like that. I really enjoyed participating for the first time in the NEWTs, I failed as I thought I would, but Oh, I had a lot of fun, so I’d say it was a success, right? or at least it’s what I want to believe ๐Ÿ˜‚
So without further ado, LET’S START, I’m so excited to talk with you about the books I read โ„๏ธ

August Wrap Up [2018]

Copia de Copia de Copia de Copia de Copia de Copia de Copia de Copia de SPRINGTIME (1)

ย ๐ŸŒธย Hi Guys!, I hope youโ€™re having a beautiful day, today Iโ€™ll share with you my August Wrap Up, where I tell you about the books that Iโ€™ve read during the month.ย Well this month was pretty good, I think I learned a couple of things especially to not forced myself too much with my reading because with the rhythm of daily life it’s dificult and although I can’t read everything I expected anyway is fine. It’s normal and it’s simply the life that keeps you busy sometimes. Even though I’ve been busy, I’ve been able to read 5 books and I’m super pleased with it!!

I’ve been doing two things too that I’ve wanted to do for a while, one of them is to be more active on Twitter, I know that many of you might want the opposite lol, but I’ve never been a social media person, I mean I have social media accounts but I don’t usually use them that much and I think the most favorable part of starting to use Twitter more is that I was able to contact many of you this month, talk and have a great time, so I hope to continue doing it.ย ๐Ÿ’•ย
Second, I’m working on my new TBR JAR!, it’s so pretty, but it’s still in process, once I finish it I’ll take pictures to upload them here and show you. I’m very excited because it looks very nice and once I finished it I can start to take out books from there again. My main goal is that is updated and beautiful.

Going back to the 5 books I’ve read this month, I’ve had a rather strange mix, from books that disappointed me to things I loved with my heart, within these a re-reading, an ARC, a book with a lot of HYPE and a couple of sequels. I’m very excited to start talking about them so, let’s start!๐ŸŒธ Read More »
