April TBR | Trying to Catch Up on My Reading! : Arcs, Big Books, Continuing Series & New Releases. ๐Ÿ‚

ย ๐Ÿ‚ย Hi, friends, how are you? I hope you’re doing great, safe, and surrounded by the best people & readings! โค๏ธย Today I’m super excited because it will be my first TBR since I’m back, so somehow everything feels almost new.ย ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป Autumn is starting here where I live and that makes me so happy! my favorite season, no doubt, can you believe that next year I’ll be experiencing my birthday in winter for the first time in my life? CRAZY!.ย ๐Ÿ˜ As you know, this is the post where we discuss and share all about my plans for the new month in terms of reading & where I’m also uncontrollable when it comes to creating lists lol, hopefully, I’ll try to be more reasonable about the latter this year, and I’ll be giving myself a TBR that I actually feel like I can complete. ๐Ÿ˜…ย

This time, guys, you’ll notice that I’m not doing a Wrap-Up, which was originally going to go before this post, this is because I haven’t read almost anything this past monthย ๐Ÿฅบ, it has been a month of getting back in tune with everything I had to do, I’ve been catching up with you, I’ve been trying to organize some things in my life as well, I’ve been visiting family that lives far away, and I’ve also been in town shopping for my trip and obviously planning all that, as well. So never mind, it’s ok, I read a 500-page book which is a super positive thing, that book was The Kiss of Deception (The Remnant Chronicles, #1) by Mary E. Pearson, in case you want to check out my thoughts it’s the first book I have reviewed with my new review structure, so I’m very excited about that fact.ย ๐Ÿ’žย
Obviously, I’m not here to beat myself up, I probably could have done better, but that’s okay, I’m getting back into this whole blogging thing, so I respect my time.โ˜•๏ธ
The really good news, guys, is that after getting more involved in the community after my break, I feel more motivated to catch up with my reading, so I’m crossing my fingers that April will be a successful month!ย ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿปย

So, what will I be reading this April?ย ๐Ÿค” Well, my idea, as the title says, is to catch up, I have several ARCs that I’m extremely grateful to have received, and I want to get to read them, at least in their month of release even if I don’t reach the specific date, I still want to try it. Also, on the other hand, I have a new release from one of my favorite authors, which I’ll be buddy reading, I’ll be starting a duology in preparation for the second book, & I also plan to continue a series I’ve recently started (I think this one is easy to figure out).โšก๏ธโšก๏ธโšก๏ธย
So with this little teaser, I think it’s the perfect time to get straight to what we are here for, I already want to share with you all the books I plan to read and also hear about your plans as well! Let’s support each other, we can do this!ย ๐Ÿฅฐ So, without further ado, LET’S GET STARTED!ย ๐Ÿ‚ย

November Wrap Up & December Plans | Incredible ARCs, but less Reading than I Anticipated + Some of my Plans for the last Month of 2021! โ˜€๏ธ

โ˜€๏ธย Hello, bookish friends! I hope you’re having a day full of blessings and the best reads! โค๏ธ Today, as always at this time of the month, I bring you one of my favorite posts to share with you: my monthly Wrap Up & TBR! where, of course, I share with you my past readings and future plans, as we catch up a bit.๐Ÿ˜Šโœจ November has been a crazy month in terms of my personal life, I’ve had ups and downs, and although you know that this isn’t a place where I usually share the negatives of my life, I feel I should mention that one of those situations has been that my parents split up (in fact, I mean my stepdad and my mom, but it’s the same thing for me), so even though I already have a life outside my parents’ house, this has affected the family structure, and clearly has had me very distracted from all my reading and the blogosphere in general. I’ve spent most of my time accompanying my younger siblings and being a support for them, so that’s where my focus has been and probably will be for at least the duration of this year. I also have a new job and that has been taking quite a bit out of me, so overall, I haven’t done very well with my reading. Still, I always like to convey how important it’s to take care of yourself and take your time, so I’ll preach what I say and be super supportive of myself. I’ve read what I can and that’s enough.ย ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป Now, things are slowly taking shape and everything will come back together in time, so I know that even though my life is all over the place right now it will all be for the better. I want to thank you so much for how understanding you always are and also thank you for all the beautiful comments you take the time to write on each post, it means so much to me, every interaction with you makes my days.ย ๐Ÿฅบย ๐Ÿฅบย ๐Ÿฅบย

Of course, I’ll still be sharing what I’ve read, because even though I’ve only read three books they have all been great, so that makes me very happy. ๐Ÿ˜ I have a series of books that even though it’s still in the process of being created, I must recommend to you because so far it’s one of those hidden gems, another one of those readings is a mystery ARC by a super popular author that never disappoints & lastly, I also have an unexpected read, that clearly wasn’t in my plans but I’m happy to have given it a chance because I found what I was looking for, something light, romantic and very inspiring. ๐Ÿ’ž

 ๐Ÿ˜…

Friends, one more clarification before we begin. This month I’ll not be doing a TBR for December for obvious reasons, I really don’t want to put pressure on myself to read, so I’ll just be reading what I feel like at the moment and then we can do some reading updates during December to catch up on what I’ve been doing. Sorry, I know it’s not the usual, I really love watching TBRs, so I understand if it’s a bit disappointing, but I still hope to come across some amazing books to enjoy. If you want a little hint of what I might be reading, I invite you to check out my last month’s TBR, as there I included several books that are still my priority. ๐Ÿฅฐ
I hope you’re ready and comfortable for today’s post ๐Ÿฟ,
enjoy it very much and as always, don’t hesitate to share your thoughts in the comments! Now, without further ado, let’s GET STARTED! โ˜€๏ธ

My last ARCs (Advance Reader Copies) of 2021 & my first ones of 2022! ๐Ÿ“š

ย ๐Ÿ“šย Hi, bookish friends! I hope you’re having a wonderful day, full of the best readings!โค๏ธ Today, I decided it would be fun to chat a bit about my ARCs, and share with you a small pile that I have yet to read for this 2021, but even more exciting are those that will be my first 2022 ARCs! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿปย
I’m actually feeling super optimistic about my ARC situation, in the future I was super careless about it, and was always requesting more than I could read, which is a bit irresponsible now that I think about it lol, butโ€ฆ over time I’ve found a way to feel more comfortable requesting advanced copies as well as feeling more confident to know which ones to choose and which ones to reject. That has taken me from having a lot of ARCs backlogged from reading to having a 98% rating on NetGalley at one point. Since I’ve been able to control this situation, I’ve wanted to keep it to a number of copies that I know I can handle easily without losing my mind lol, so even when I have books to show you, they won’t be as many as they used to be, in fact now the ones I request myself are books that really interest me or some that I get by accepting requests from authors I’ve read and loved in the past.ย ๐Ÿ˜Šย
I think I’m being a little pickier about the ARCs aspect and that’s fineย ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป, as a book blogger and as someone who has been in the community for over 5 years now and almost 5 years with my blog, I’m aware that while it’s fun to have advanced copies of books to share, it’s not exactly necessary to have good content and engage with the community, so if you’re just starting out in all this, and getting ARCs is something you’re worried about, just don’t my loveโ€ฆ relax, it will all come naturally with time and if not, you still have thousands and thousands of books already published to talk about.ย ๐Ÿฅฐย
With all this said and cleared up,
I can’t wait to share these titles with you as they’re books that have me super excited to read and share my thoughts with you!ย ๐ŸŒŸ Now yes, without further ado, grab your coffee and get comfortable because we’re getting started!ย ๐Ÿ“šย

Double ARC Review | A Lair of Bones (Curse of the Cyren Queen #1) & Rising (The Relic Trilogy #3) โšก๏ธ

โšก๏ธ Hi, friends! how are you? what have you been doing? I hope you’re very well, enjoying the day surrounded by the best readings!.โค๏ธ Today super excited, as every time I post lol, but this time I bring you two reviews that I was hoping to actually bring you for a while now and that I’ve finally been able to write, so here we are! Both books this time are ARCs, so first I want to take a second to thank the publishers and authors very much for sending me these copies in exchange for honest reviews. ๐Ÿ˜Š I’m more than happy because not only it’s a pleasure for me to talk a little about not-so-well-known books, but I’ve also adored BOTH! So, I really hope you decide to add them to your TBR to give them a chance sometime soon. Both are dark fantasy books, with unique worlds & supremely interesting characters, plus they both also have big plot twists and the writers are very addictive! ๐Ÿ˜
Now without further ado, I hope you enjoy the post very much, and LET’S GET STARTED!

Of course, even though these reviews aren’t as extensive as my regular reviews tend to be, didn’t mean I haven’t touched on every important point, in fact the only difference is that in these reviews I go straight to the point when talking about every aspect of them, cause you know I like to ramble sometimes so I hope it really is something that helps you to know a little about these books, but also that you can get each idea and thought that I want to transmit here.
 ๐Ÿฅฐ

I wanted to thank you as I always try to do, for the love and support that you continue to give me and to the blog in these moments when I can no longer be so active, that always makes me feel super happy and also gives me that encouragement to want to return to write, which you know I love to do with all my heart. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU because also the blog has officially reached 6k followers! ๐Ÿฅณ It’s crazy, it seems like yesterday when I just started posting and it was a disaster (LOL) but even so, I always had so much fun, this space means a lot to me for all the beautiful people I’ve met but also because it is a very special way of expression for me. ๐Ÿ˜ญ

๐Ÿ‚ Hi, guys! I hope you’re having a wonderful day filled with the best readings & obviously, I hope you all had a beautiful past month! โค๏ธ Today I’ve returned with one of my favorite posts to share with you my Wrap Up of the month, where I tell you all about what I’ve read during the month of April. April was a very positive month for me in terms of reading, I’m more than happy to tell you that I FINALLY started to accommodate my schedules a little better to actually be able to READ, so that has me extremely pleased.๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป On the other hand, I still have to learn to manage my times to be able to bring you more content, or at least other types of posts, I don’t want to fall into always bringing you the same things, you know? ๐Ÿ’ป So I’m working on it, but still super grateful to be able to continue maintaining this space that I love so much, and have your support that simply means the world to me, so thank you, friends! ๐Ÿฅบ

In other news, my business is doing very well luckily so that’s always something to celebrate, and also I’m super excited because there’s almost nothing left for the 6k followers on the blog! likeโ€ฆWHAT!!! ๐ŸŽ‰ I can’t believe it, I don’t deserve you, I’ve been blessed with all of you, it makes me happy that there are still people who want to be part of this small family, I love you so much!! ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ So, well enough fangirling over you all for a second lol cause, I also want to share with you that I’ve started to watch Anime for the first time in my life, my brothers are obsessed, so they insisted that I should try so here I am, I finally did it and I’m really enjoying the experience, so let’s see how that go.๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป Also I started watching Doctor Who again because I have no control I love that series, so I started watching it from scratch and it’s ALL I need. โ˜„๏ธ PS: I’m watching SHADOW & BONE! ๐ŸฆŒ And loving it, my heart cannot with the perfection of the characters, I haven’t finished it yet, so I’ll tell you more once I do it, for now, I want to say that it’s an excellent job what they’ve done with this adaptation, I’m loving it. ๐Ÿ˜

Now having shared a little with you about what I’ve been doing in April, I want to tell you my plans for the month of May, which aren’t really many, is mainly to upload a little more content to the blog ๐Ÿ”ฅ, but I wouldn’t like to slow down my pace of reading so I’ll be focusing a lot on that, plus I’ll keep checking blogs and supporting your content, so expect to see a bit of me on your blog if you have one during this month too. โœจ

Now, we go directly to what concerns us today, HAVE I READ SOMETHING DURING THE MONTH OF APRIL? YES, I have read! *celebration dance* ๐Ÿ’ƒ I’ve read 5 books, and I know it doesn’t sound like much compared to other bookish people, but it has been a great achievement for me coming from quite busy months, I finally feel that during the last two months I’ve been able to go back a little to my normality by reading a little more ๐Ÿ˜Š and also, always super positive, I’ve enjoyed each of my readings this month, which is incredible, not only that, but I really don’t think I’ve read a single bad book this month, so that’s great, really.๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป I’ve read a couple of spooky books with dark themes, and more intense atmospheres, but on the other hand, I’ve also given the chance to a super light reading that has surprised me for good. I read all my ARCs of the month (YAY!), I’ve also finished a series that I adore, and finally, I’ve read one of my 5-star predictions, which I’ll tell you more about below (I still plan to make a separate post about my 5 stars predictions for being more specific about it) ๐Ÿฅฐ Super excited to share with you my thoughts about all these books, I know that there are many reviews that I still have to write, but I promise that it’s something I will do soon, I’m thinking of a new format of quick reviews to be able to get up to date, but always as the main point to give you as much info as possible and all my thoughts. Thanks again, for EVERYTHING! I LOVE you and I wish you only happiness ๐Ÿ˜˜, now without further ado, because Sofi LOVES to talk apparently, lol โ€ฆ LET’S START!! ๐Ÿ‚

Double ARC Review | A Curse of Ash and Embers & A Curse of Roses

ย ๐ŸŒฟย Hi, guys! I hope youโ€™re having the most wonderful day by the hand of the most incredible readings.โค๏ธ Today Iโ€™m more than happy to bring you a double review of two great books that Iโ€™ve read this month, and that I also have the pleasure to say have been ARCs, so THANK YOU SO MUCH to Edelweiss+ & NetGalley for the opportunity to read them. Before starting I want to say THANK YOU my loves for all the support that you have been giving me in my posts, little by little I’m catching up, so I promise you that if you’ve commented on my blog at some point, I will be checking your blog soon and anyway I’m determined to visit as many book bloggers as I can, so don’t worry, I’ll end up visiting you, because you deserve the love, and you’re wonderful. I also want to remind you that I’m working on a project where I’m making a list here on my blog with as many book bloggers as I can, so if you want to participate then write to me in THIS POST or wherever place you want, and I will add you.ย ๐Ÿ˜
Now, going back to today’s post, I have two very magical books to share with you, I’ve enjoyed both very much and although I don’t think they’re perfect, I believe that the failures are really superficial and don’t overshadow these great stories about curses and folklore. On the one hand, we have
A Curse of Ash and Embers (Tales of the Blackbone Witches # 1) by Jo Spurrier, a highly atmospheric book made to devour quickly, it’s a super interesting story with great female power behind & on the other hand, we have A Curse of Roses by Diana Pinguicha which is a story that also revolves around a curse where our main character turns everything she eats into flowers and although it sounds almost poetic, it has been a nightmare for her, so she’ll undertake a journey to find a solution, highly based in Portuguese myths and I’ve loved that.
I hope you enjoy the post and decide to add these books to your TBR! Now, without further ado, let’s get started.

December TBR | Catching Up: Finishing Some Series & Exciting 2020 ARCs โ˜€๏ธ

โ˜€๏ธย Hi, my beautiful bookish friends! I hope youโ€™re having the most incredible day with the best readings.โค๏ธ Today I bring you a new Monthly TBR, where Iโ€™m sharing with you my reading plans for the month of December. I still don’t know how, but we have reached the last month of the year!! Isn’t that crazy? surely 2020 will be one of those years that we’ll never forget and not for the best reasons, but luckily it has passed super fast for me, I’m excited for the new year to come and I hope it’s full of blessings and good news to the world, I think we all deserve that.ย ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป
So here I am today to share with you my reading list for this last month of the year. When you’re reading this I’ll be on my break, so I don’t know how much I’ll be reading during this first week but that’s fine, this month will be a month of relaxation for me, so it’s okay if I don’t read too much, on the other hand, I’m SO excited to be able to share with you ALL the end of the year posts!! ๐Ÿ˜
When I return from my break I’ll be sharing with you my best readings, my worst, and all those types of posts that I love to do every year.

My plan for this month is also to do a lot of blog hopping, I think I should give you back a little of all the support that you have given me, I feel super blessed to be part of this community, so I’ll try to support you all as much as I can, super excited for checking all your posts!!ย ๐ŸŒŸ

GIF by America's Next Top Model

So my reading plans are basically to finish catching up on some things, so in this way go into 2021 with a new vibe and eager to start new readings. First, I’ll be finishing some series, that’s really exciting for me, at last, I’ll be reading the final books of several series that I’m loving so far, and I’m dying to share that with you ๐Ÿฅฐย & on the other hand, I still have a couple of ARCs that I want to read because they’re the last ARCs that I have left from this year’s releases and I would like to get into next year without any ARCs from 2020, you know? both books come out on December 1st, so I won’t get to read them for their release date but obviously, I’ll be reading and reviewing them during their release month, so I hope that’s enough, anyway super excited to tell you more about them!ย ๐Ÿ˜Šย
Then, if I’m lucky enough to finish with my priorities,
I’ll be adding my Back-Up Pile with two books that I would like to be able to read before the year ends, it’s fine if I can’t, though, there’s no pressure, but it’s something that I also want to share with you today.ย ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿปย

So, super excited to share my December readings with you, I hope you have the best end of the year and above all that you and your family are safe and healthy.โค๏ธ Now without further ado, I hope you decide to stay & let’s get started! โ˜€๏ธย

November Wrap Up | A Challenging Month: NaNoWriMo & Catching up with ARCs ๐ŸŒป

ย ๐ŸŒปย Hi, guys! I hope youโ€™re having a beautiful day full of good readings.โค๏ธToday I bring you a new postโ€ฆ my November Wrap Up! where Iโ€™ll tell you ALL about my readings of the month. This month was a challenge for me, I think it’s the first time that I put myself to the test in this way so demandingly. I can say that I’m proud of myself for having been able to do SO much during this month, on the other hand, I’m exhausted so it would be good for me to relax a little during the next month, I deserve it.ย ๐Ÿฅบย ๐Ÿฅบย
Well, to keep you updated on what I’ve been doing in the month of November, to begin with, I’ve been participating in
NaNoWriMo for the first time, and it has been an absolutely enriching experience of learning and growth for me as a writer, which I appreciate very much.ย ๐Ÿ˜Š I’m more than happy to have participated, but I did realize how demanding it could be, so that’s why I made the decision to abandon it after the third week, I told you a little about it in my NaNo update, but in summary, I felt that I was being too much for me, I felt mentally and physically exhausted and I didn’t want to write anything just to reach a “goal”, you know? so I made that decision and although it was difficult at the same time I know that it was the best for me and today I’m happy with what I’ve accomplished. I wrote 30k words and that’s just INCREDIBLE for me, so I haven’t regret, contrarily, I celebrate that great achievement.ย ๐Ÿฅณย

Besides having been writing a lot and having focused 100% on my WIP also magically and I still don’t know how, I’ve been able to read ALL, yes, you read correctly, ALL the ARCs that I planned to read this monthย ๐Ÿคฉ, I can’t believe I do it, but I’ve had the incredible luck to have quite short books and also super easy to read, I enjoyed them a lot so I’m really happy to have been able to read a lot this month too, which was not my main goal, butโ€ฆ YAY!ย ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿปย
I’ve read a lot of high-impact fantasy, a bit of sci-fi & a long-awaited mystery book that paid off. So, super happy and excited to come with good news and been able to recommend several books.
ย ๐Ÿฅฐย

Before starting I want to share with you that I’ll be taking this week off, if you’ve followed me for a while you know that every year I take a week of mini-vacations to take care of myself and visit my family, and that kind of thing, so I’ll be gone since December 1st and I’ll return on Monday 7th and the second week of December will be normal as usual.ย ๐Ÿ’• I usually take weeks off in November but this time I decided to change things up a bit. I think it would be healthy for me to get away a little and I‘ll return with a lot of energy as usual to bring you the best of me.ย ๐Ÿ’ซ
I also wanted to mention that I know that I haven’t been checking other blogs and I’m also super late with the comments, so I’m very sorry, really the month of November has been crazy for meย ๐Ÿ˜ญ,
I’ve been extremely busy and I haven’t been able to do my beloved blog hopping, but I hope to change that soon and will be checking your beautiful and wonderful blogs as always.ย ๐Ÿ˜ย ๐Ÿ˜ย ๐Ÿ˜ย
You know that I’m still here for you always, love you, I’m deeply grateful for all the love and the nice comments, THANK YOU SO MUCH!ย ๐Ÿ’• So, I’ll be back soon, when you’re reading this I’m probably already on my break, but I still wanted to mention it.
You’ll have posts anyway all the week, so you won’t feel my absence, but I’ll probably be answering comments when I get back and doing a massive blog hopping of thanks.

Now, without further ado, I’m excited to share with you everything I’ve read in the month of November, so I hope you decide to stay. Let’s get started!ย ๐ŸŒปย

Double ARC Review | Shifting Shadows (Narun, #2) & War of the Twin Swords

ย ๐ŸŒฟย Hi, guys! I hope youโ€™re having the most wonderful day by the hand of the most incredible readings. โค๏ธย Today Iโ€™m more than happy to bring you a double review of two great books that Iโ€™ve read this month, and that I also have the pleasure to say have been ARCs. Before starting as I always like to do, I want to thank both authors for contacting me to review their books, it’s a great honor for me. This time I come with an action-packed short book highly based on the story of King Arthur, but with its own original touches as well and very powerful female leaders & on the other hand, I bring a sequel to a super addictive urban fantasy that combines very well elements of fantasy with contemporary touches and a good atmosphere.ย ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿปย
You’ll see that my reviews aren’t as extensive as always, it’s because I haven’t had much time this month, I promise that it will be like that again next month, but for now, I focus on the most important details and don’t worry because I don’t leave anything out of my reviews and I still share with you all my thoughts, the good ones, and the not so good ones.ย ๐Ÿฅฐย
So without further ado, I hope you enjoy it, you know that I adore sharing my thoughts with youย ๐Ÿ˜Š & LETโ€™S GET STARTED!
