A Farewell… For Now | Taking a Long Break from Blogging ❤️

Hi guys, how are you? I hope you’re having a great day surrounded by the best readings, & of course, I hope you had an amazing Christmas. 🥰
This is honestly a very different post, one that wasn’t on my schedule, one that I wasn’t planning to do, but as you know my priority is always to be honest with you,
so today I have to share that I’ll be taking a blogging break of at least 4 months.👋🏻 This is because my current job is taking a lot of my time and at another time I would have continued with the blog anyway but lately, I’ve been feeling a bit stressed to accomplish everything, you know? plus, some family issues are happening that I’ve told you about at some point 🥺, and I don’t want to be in that place again where I feel almost obligated to do everything because in the long run, and more with an activity that we choose to do for enjoyment, love, and passion, it can cause lack of motivation and the last thing I want is to bring you content that I’m not proud of… that’s not what I want to convey with my platform. 😓 So even though it’s a hard decision to make, I know that the right thing to do right now is to take care of my personal life and then come back more relaxed to really enjoy blogging 100% and be part of this beautiful and understanding community. 🙌🏻

There is also something else. This job where I currently am, is not the job that I hope to have permanently, but it’s one that I use as a means to save money and this money has a bigger purpose and I want to share it with you as well. As long as the pandemic and world health issues allow us, we’ll be moving, with my boyfriend Milo, from Argentina to Sweden next year (Stockholm, to be more precise) this will not be our final destination, but it will be a place where we’ll settle down for a while to work.❄️ This is really a huge change in our lives, a leap of faith that we want to make in order to grow and have more economic possibilities and a better lifestyle in general, not only for us but also for our families. 😊 If you yourself are Latina or know a little about Latin America you know that we often have to emigrate to look for better lives and it’s an absolute change since I’m very close to my family, but at the same time I know that it’s time for me to think about myself and pursue my own dreams, I’m also excited to give a better life to my brothers. 💞  It’s A LOT, on the one hand, I’m very excited I know this is the right decision for us and everything will be more than fine, but on the other hand, it’s the adjustment to the idea that soon we won’t be able to see our families as often and it’s a process for them too. So I’m living all this right now, guys, it’s a lot of feelings, but as always I want to emphasize the positives of having the possibility to travel, to grow, and to experience, it will be incredible. So of course with so many changes happening it’s important for me to prioritize my work at least until I save what I need. 🌟

Of course, it never crossed my mind to abandon my blog or close it permanently, that’s something that’s not up for debate for me, doing this makes me happy, I love being in my pajamas writing about books, and I don’t plan to stop doing it. 😍 This is just a period of time that I need and clearly, I wanted to share with you everything I’m going through, so you know the context of my decisions. Not because I feel I have to explain myself but rather because I love sharing with you, I know that in the comments I’ll find words of support and love, and sometimes I need them, so thank you for always being there, for every like, for every comment, and above all, for your passion for reading which many times are inspiring and makes me feel less alone since I have no friends who like to read as well, so as you know this space is incredibly appreciated and the community is part of my life for 5 years now, I’ve met some amazing people and I’m planning to continue doing so. 🤩

The fact that I’ll stop blogging for 4 months doesn’t mean that I will stop being in the community. 🥳 At the moment, I don’t feel like reading, but I know that at some point I will be reading as well, and sharing maybe on Goodreads or maybe I’ll use my Storygraph, any of these things can happen, as well as you can find me on Twitter where I’ll also be sharing a bit of what I’ll be reading. I’ll also take a few minutes to check out your posts, because you know I LOVE to do it, so you won’t be able to get rid of me so easily, I’ll be there to support you. 👏🏻  👏🏻  👏🏻

I know I wasn’t able to finish my end of the year posts, but well, I know that when I come back I’ll make a summary of that and we’ll talk a little bit about my 2021 bookish in general, ok?
Sometimes life surprises you with good and sometimes bad situations and you have to do what you can as a human being, so from my little place I would like to tell you not to be hard on yourself, we do what we can with the tools we have and that’s always enough. I love you deeply, you’re wonderful so get out there and show what you’re capable of creating and giving to the world.❤️❤️❤️

Favorite 2021 New-to-Me Authors 🖋

🖋 Hi, guys! I hope you’re having a wonderful day, full of the best readings & the most wonderful moments! ❤️ Today, I’m super excited to be writing a new end of the year post, I’m a little late with these because honestly, I’ve been having a lot of work 🥺, but it’s all for a good cause, and soon I hope to be able to share my plans for the next year with you regarding my personal life (very exciting plans… 😊). But well, I’ll take every moment I have to write my posts and obviously share with you my bookish thoughts, I’ll also be checking your posts as I’ve missed doing it these past few days. Now, back to today’s post, I’ll be sharing with you my list of favorite “new to me” authors I’ve read during 2021. 🙌🏻
I love doing this kind of post as I think authors deserve their own recognition from time to time. and this time I’ll be talking about 5 I have come to read for the first time this year and have loved completely for one thing or another, that I’ll be clarifying throughout the post. Each of them is in this post because I think they’re extremely talented and because I’ve connected with their style and stories on another level, also because they’re all authors I would love to continue reading in the future. 🥰
In addition to highlighting the authors I have enjoyed for the first time this year, I’ll also show you the works I’ve read by them and talk a bit about some of the characteristics or factors that made me love their styles. I’ll also leave some links that might interest you. 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻
Thanks for being here with me for another post, and always supporting me, I love you, you’re wonderful.
💕 I hope you enjoy it a lot and without further ado, I’m excited to share these authors and their work with you, so let’s get started! 🖋

2021 Surprises & Disappointments ⚡️

⚡️ Hi, friends! I hope you’re having a wonderful day surrounded by the best readings & wonderful moments! ❤️ Today, and for the rest of December, we’ll be chatting a bit about the books I’ve read this year, and we’ll be doing a kind of annual wrap-up by rating the books in different ways during each post. Here below will be the link to my previous end of the year’s post if you want to check it out, but today we’ll focus on the books that have surprised me the most and those that have disappointed me the most this 2021. 😍
As always, I’ll make it perfectly clear what I mean by this and what we’ll encounter during this post. As a first instance, when I refer to “surprising” books, for me they’re those books that maybe I expected less or didn’t have high expectations and ended up surprising me, on the other hand, those “disappointing” books are those that couldn’t completely fulfill my expectations because probably the hype was high or I was expecting more than what I got. This isn’t to say that these books are bad books, in fact, no book is bad, that’s super subjective, but simply they’re books that have fallen a little short of what they promised under my point of view. While the others are books that have left me very impressed in the best way. 👏🏻
I don’t like to repeat books during my end of the year series, so none of these books will be in my favorite or least favorite books post, but they’re those books that have been mostly in the middle of it all, and yet I think they’re worth talking about, and I’m excited to share my humble opinion with you.
Maybe I’ve already mentioned this and although it seems obvious,
it’s very important for me to let you know that I deeply respect each one of your opinions and I love that you can share your ideas and thoughts with me about each book, even when we don’t agree the first thing is respect and it’s always fun to talk about it with love and cordiality. I really love to hear what you think so feel free to let me know!
I hope this post is entertaining for you, thank you SO SO much for sharing this post series with me, and without further ado…. LET’S GET STARTED!

Favorite 2021 Book Covers 📸

📸 Hi, guys! I hope you’re having an amazing day, full of the best readings, and above all, enjoying this last month of the year! ❤️ As usual for me here on the blog, the “opening” of my end of the year posts has arrived, where we’ll talk about the best, the worst, and the most surprising in terms of books of what has been this 2021.  😍 I love that December is all about this kind of post, not only do I love doing them, but I find it super fun to see all your posts related to your bookish wrap-ups of the year, so I’m excited to see all your content as well! 👏🏻
Of course, we’ll open this series of posts with a post mostly about aesthetics, and I’ll dedicate it 100% to the amazing artists who create the most beautiful covers of all the books we read and love every year. THANK YOU, DESIGNER! YOU’RE AMAZING!  🥰 As you may have guessed by now,
this post will be all about my favorite covers of 2021. 🌟
These covers that I’ll be sharing with you today,
aren’t necessarily from books that I’ve read, but they’re all covers from books that have been released this year, and that’s the point of these posts, each year to highlight my favorite cover designs from each respective year’s releases. 😊
We all have different preferences and tastes regarding our covers, so of course, I’ll only be showing some of the ones that are the most beautiful for me, but not necessarily the most beautiful for everyone.
I think this is a fun idea, at some point we all look at the covers a little bit, and if you tell me you don’t, I’ll know you’re lying  😅, we’re all guilty at some point of “cover buying” so I know we’ll all appreciate an aesthetic post with a rainbow full of stunning covers! I hope you enjoy it a lot, feel free to share your opinion with me, and
my idea is that we spend a relaxing moment admiring some of the amazing works of amazing artists during 2021 🎉. Now yes, without further ado, LET’S GET STARTED! 📸

Book Recommendations | 2021 Book Releases You Must Read Before the Year Ends! 📖

📖 Hi, guys! I hope you’re having a wonderful day and a super positive start to the month! ❤️ I know this year has been crazy for many of us who are still trying to find our place after the madness of the pandemic in the world, so listen to me on this: celebrate every little achievement you have made this 2021 because if you have survived all this, you’re already a queen/king & here, hoping we all have a 2022 full of blessings! 🎉
Today I’m excited because
I woke up wanting to talk to you about the best 2021 releases I’ve read, so here we are in this last recommendation post of the year, which I hope you like a lot and it will help you to find new reads. 🤓
Many of the books I’ll mention have been huge surprises for me because although I was excited to read them, I never thought I would enjoy them at the level I did, either for their unique stories, their well-created atmospheres, or the outstanding narration. 😍
So, this is why I’ve chosen them for today’s post where of course
we’ll focus on the 2021 releases I’ve read and highly enjoyed. Plus, I’ll also add some other releases that are on my “priority list” that even though I haven’t read them yet, I’m dying to do it because they sound AMAZING.

Book Bloggers Appreciation | November 2021 💻

💻 Hi, my beautiful friends, I hope you’re having the most amazing day.❤️ This is a blog post series I’ve been doing all of 2020 and I’m doing it again during 2021, because I just love it, and it’s all about highlighting a series of blog posts from around the book blogger community, that I enjoyed reading or that I think are amazing and deserve more love and recognition. With this, I hope to be able to somehow support other book bloggers on a monthly basis, and I also hope you can find new book blogs to follow or content that interests you or help you. 🥰
Maybe the look of this post will be simpler than what you usually see on the blog, but I like this idea and it’s honestly with the simple purpose of supporting each other more and we can find new content in a simple and organized way.
I don’t have a certain amount I’m highlighting per month, they’re just posts I’ve come across with and I think they’re INCREDIBLE, so I want to share them with you all. 👏🏻 I used to make a small top 5 with my favorite posts of the month, but I realized that I had to delete many posts to be able to select only 5, and I don’t think it’s fair,
there are SO many wonderful posts and everyone deserves the same love and recognition, so that’s why I decided to make this post apart 😊

November Wrap Up & December Plans | Incredible ARCs, but less Reading than I Anticipated + Some of my Plans for the last Month of 2021! ☀️

☀️ Hello, bookish friends! I hope you’re having a day full of blessings and the best reads! ❤️ Today, as always at this time of the month, I bring you one of my favorite posts to share with you: my monthly Wrap Up & TBR! where, of course, I share with you my past readings and future plans, as we catch up a bit.😊✨ November has been a crazy month in terms of my personal life, I’ve had ups and downs, and although you know that this isn’t a place where I usually share the negatives of my life, I feel I should mention that one of those situations has been that my parents split up (in fact, I mean my stepdad and my mom, but it’s the same thing for me), so even though I already have a life outside my parents’ house, this has affected the family structure, and clearly has had me very distracted from all my reading and the blogosphere in general. I’ve spent most of my time accompanying my younger siblings and being a support for them, so that’s where my focus has been and probably will be for at least the duration of this year. I also have a new job and that has been taking quite a bit out of me, so overall, I haven’t done very well with my reading. Still, I always like to convey how important it’s to take care of yourself and take your time, so I’ll preach what I say and be super supportive of myself. I’ve read what I can and that’s enough. 🙌🏻 Now, things are slowly taking shape and everything will come back together in time, so I know that even though my life is all over the place right now it will all be for the better. I want to thank you so much for how understanding you always are and also thank you for all the beautiful comments you take the time to write on each post, it means so much to me, every interaction with you makes my days. 🥺 🥺 🥺

Of course, I’ll still be sharing what I’ve read, because even though I’ve only read three books they have all been great, so that makes me very happy. 😍 I have a series of books that even though it’s still in the process of being created, I must recommend to you because so far it’s one of those hidden gems, another one of those readings is a mystery ARC by a super popular author that never disappoints & lastly, I also have an unexpected read, that clearly wasn’t in my plans but I’m happy to have given it a chance because I found what I was looking for, something light, romantic and very inspiring. 💞

Im Okay Keeping Up With The Kardashians GIF by E!

Friends, one more clarification before we begin. This month I’ll not be doing a TBR for December for obvious reasons, I really don’t want to put pressure on myself to read, so I’ll just be reading what I feel like at the moment and then we can do some reading updates during December to catch up on what I’ve been doing. Sorry, I know it’s not the usual, I really love watching TBRs, so I understand if it’s a bit disappointing, but I still hope to come across some amazing books to enjoy. If you want a little hint of what I might be reading, I invite you to check out my last month’s TBR, as there I included several books that are still my priority. 🥰
I hope you’re ready and comfortable for today’s post 🍿,
enjoy it very much and as always, don’t hesitate to share your thoughts in the comments! Now, without further ado, let’s GET STARTED! ☀️

I hope you enjoy this post a lot & above all, that you can find new books to enjoy. 😍 Thank you for choosing to share this moment with me, make yourself comfortable, grab your favorite drink & LET’S GET STARTED

Type A Ivy lost a student council election to the class clown, and now she has to face the school, humiliated. Heartthrob Mateo is burned out–he’s been working two jobs since his family’s business failed. And outsider Cal just got stood up…. again.

So when Cal pulls into campus late for class and runs into Ivy and Mateo, it seems like the perfect opportunity to turn a bad day around. They’ll ditch and go into the city. Just the three of them, like old times. Except they’ve barely left the parking lot before they run out of things to say…

Until they spot another Carlton High student skipping school–and follow him to the scene of his own murder. In one chance move, their day turns from dull to deadly. And it’s about to get worse.

It turns out Ivy, Mateo, and Cal still have some things in common. They all have a connection to the dead kid. And they’re all hiding something.

Now they’re all wondering–could it be that their chance reconnection wasn’t by chance after all?
