An #ownvoices contemporary YA set in Argentina, about a rising soccer star who must put everything on the line—even her blooming love story—to follow her dreams.

In Rosario, Argentina, Camila Hassan lives a double life.

At home, she is a careful daughter, living within her mother’s narrow expectations, in her rising-soccer-star brother’s shadow, and under the abusive rule of her short-tempered father.

On the field, she is La Furia, a powerhouse of skill and talent. When her team qualifies for the South American tournament, Camila gets the chance to see just how far those talents can take her. In her wildest dreams, she’d get an athletic scholarship to a North American university.

But the path ahead isn’t easy. Her parents don’t know about her passion. They wouldn’t allow a girl to play fútbol—and she needs their permission to go any farther. And the boy she once loved is back in town. Since he left, Diego has become an international star, playing in Italy for the renowned team Juventus. Camila doesn’t have time to be distracted by her feelings for him. Things aren’t the same as when he left: she has her own passions and ambitions now, and La Furia cannot be denied. As her life becomes more complicated, Camila is forced to face her secrets and make her way in a world with no place for the dreams and ambition of a girl like her.

Top 5 | Books with Morally-Gray Main Characters 🔥

🔥 Hi, guys! I hope you’re having a wonderful day & a great start to the week, as I always tell you, I hope you’re also enjoying all your readings.❤️ Today I’m super excited to return with another top 5 that could also be a recommendation post because I love each one of these books with all my heart, so obviously, I highly recommend them, especially if, as the title says, you enjoy the morally-gray main characters. 👏🏻 What do I mean by this? Well, I know that we all have different concepts about what a “morally-gray” character is, for me, this means having a character who’s capable of doing anything to achieve his goals, characters that have dark actions or do something immoral during his journey or can also refer, in my personal opinion, to those characters that change as time passes and become vengeful and power-hungry. Today I’ve brought all those types of characters in these incredible 5 books, this time I wanted to focus on the main characters as such because I’ve read other books with these types of characters but they have secondary roles or the “villains” role as such, you know? so I wanted to put them aside to bring you this type of character as the main focus of the plot. 😊

I hope this type of recommendation is for you and is something that you can enjoy, you know that I always try to bring you very varied recommendations & tops, so that no matter what your jam is you can find something for you, so if this time this is not something you interested in, that’s ok and I respect it, soon I bring another with brave characters and more of the heroes type, which I also personally love. 🥰

I love you ALWAYS, thank you for the love and support you gave me and above all for your kind words about the new look of the blog 💞, with which I’m super happy, you can see that I’ve changed the fonts because it seemed to me that was too small before and it was very difficult to read, so I hope now it feels more comfortable for you. 🥺
I hope you enjoy it a lot, go get yourself something to drink and eat, make yourself comfortable, and enjoy the top 5LET’S START!

Colorful Bookish Sundays | Prioritizing Books from my TBR ☀️

☀️ Hi, guys! I hope you’re having a beautiful day, full of good readings & amazing moments. ❤️ Super excited for today’s post, this is a new series of super chill posts that I’ll be bringing you every Sunday! 🥳  These will be our “Colorful Bookish Sundays” and it will be, basically, to organize my priority list, choosing some books from my Goodreads TBR to add to my list which I’ll check every month when creating my monthly TBRs, that way I hope to start reading those books that I’m most excited about, so they don’t end up in my TBR for years as many of them are already doing 😅
You may not know this, but I have a mini book list that I go to when I build my TBR every month, but it’s super outdated and I’ve been wanting to renew it for a while now, so I thought it would be a fun and different idea to do it, and also share with you the process and know your thoughts, which always helps me a lot to make decisions.

I’m looking to give to this post series a fun and relaxed look, so I decided to show you a specific color every Sunday, I LOVE some good beautiful covers and even more when there’s a beautiful color palette in them, so I think it could be interesting organize them by color, chat a little about them, and as always try to organize myself better with my books and my future readings 😍 & you can know what color we’ll play every Sunday based on the icon that will accompany the title, but I’ll also let you know below.

The dynamic will be to show you the selected books and then separate them by categories to finally make a decision of which one/ones will be my choice to add to my list of priorities and obviously, I would love to know what you think about them! 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻

I’m SO happy to bring you posts on Sundays again, it seems like a fun idea and hopefully, it will be entertaining for both you and me. 🥺 I hope you like it, I know it sounds weird now and you’re probably thinking “Sofi, what are you doing?” 😂 but I promise I’ll do my best. I LOVE YOU ❤️, thanks for the constant support, it means a lot to me, so now get comfortable, prepare your favorite drink and let’s start! ☀️

Trouble is haunting Cassidy Blake . . . even more than usual.

She (plus her ghost best friend, Jacob, of course) are in Paris, where Cass’s parents are filming their TV show about the world’s most haunted cities. Sure, it’s fun eating croissants and seeing the Eiffel Tower, but there’s true ghostly danger lurking beneath Paris, in the creepy underground Catacombs.

When Cass accidentally awakens a frighteningly strong spirit, she must rely on her still-growing skills as a ghosthunter — and turn to friends both old and new to help her unravel a mystery. But time is running out, and the spirit is only growing stronger.

And if Cass fails, the force she’s unleashed could haunt the city forever.

Things I Don’t Like in Books 👎🏻

☕️ Hi, guys! I hope you’re having the most wonderful day & you’re enjoying your readings.❤️ Today I’ve decided that it would be fun to end the week by bringing you some of my “unpopular opinions” maybe, on things I don’t like to see or come across in books. 😣 I think this type of post is fun to discuss a bit in the comments since I would like to know what things you don’t like to find when you read your books. The factors that I’ll talk about today are those kinds of things that when you’re quietly reading your book, you come across with and that suddenly bores you a lot, or that small factor that makes you feel uncomfortable and even angry, or even that factor that can make you want to stop reading the book immediately or perhaps, hopefully, you know ahead of time what you’ll encounter so you decide it’s not the book for you and end up never picking it up.👋🏻
So, we’ll discuss a bit about all those things in this post and I hope you can enjoy it. As always, I cannot start without telling you that these opinions are just my own and that doesn’t mean that they’re an absolute truth, it’s only what I feel and if you like some of the following things that I’ll mention, that’s wonderful, that’s why we have so many varieties of books in the world.
 😊

BUT, before starting I want to thank you from
the bottom of my heart for having voted me for the 2020 Book Bloggers Awards,
I WON BEST Book RECOMMENDATIONS… like, WHAT!!! 😭 😭 😭 and it still feels surreal and magical, blogging is something I love to do, guys, and I’m very excited to share every day with you, so thank you for being there and give me this beautiful recognition that means so much to me. It really makes me happy that you like my recommendations, I’ll soon return with several ideas that I have and I’m very excited to show you, I know you’ll like them and I can’t wait, so stay tuned for it. I LOVE YOU & be happy, no matter what others say, you creates your world, so dare to do the things you love and be who you want to be.❤️❤️❤️

Book Bloggers Appreciation | August 2020 💻

💫 Hi, my beautiful friends, I hope you’re having the most amazing day.❤️  This is a blog post series, where every month I’m highlighting a series of blog posts, from around the book blogger community, that I enjoyed reading or that I think are amazing and deserve more love and recognition. With this, I hope to be able to somehow support other book bloggers more, and I also hope you can find new book blogs to follow or content that interests you or help you. 👏🏻
Maybe the look of this post will be simpler to what you usually see on the blog, but I like this idea and it’s honestly with the simple purpose of supporting each other more and we can find new content in a simple and organized way.
I don’t have a certain amount to I’m highlighting per month, they’re just posts I’ve come across with and I think they’re INCREDIBLE, so I want to share them with you all. I used to make a small top 5 with my favorite posts of the month, but I realized that I had to delete many posts to be able to select only 5, and I don’t think it’s fair, there are SO many wonderful posts and everyone deserves the same love and recognition, so that’s why I decided to make this post apart.
😊

I hope you enjoy, like and support this idea. I LOVE YOU 🥰 and let’s start!  💫
