🏡 | What are you currently reading? | 🏡

I’m writing this tag well in advance, so I going to be reading one of these books, surely you already know which one it is by now. I’m super excited, though, for all of them! especially for Each Of Us A Desert because it’s a new addition to my TBR this month! 😍

If you want to know everything I’ll be reading this month you can check HERE my TBR

🏡 | What’s your favourite ‘can’t-leave-the-house’ activity? | 🏡

7 Ways to Quiet Your Mind | Yoga illustration, Yoga images, Yoga

Lately, I’ve been painting my house with my boyfriend and we have had a lot of fun with that, in fact, we are already done and I’m HAPPY with the results. Reading, of course, is still one of my favorite activities to do right now, writing, watching movies, playing video games, and I’ve also been much more focused on my spiritual side, so I’ve been meditating a lot & journaling, and that also keeps me mentally healthy during these difficult times.❤️

🏡 | A book you’ve been meaning to read for forever | 🏡

Any of these three books come to mind right now, I can’t believe I haven’t read any of these yet, but I hope to finally do it this 2020!
The 7½ Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle sounds so cleverly done and well thought out, I’m really curious to know what the outcome of such a compelling story will be like, Dark Matter sounds like everything I usually enjoy in movies and series, but in a book, so I really don’t have excuses, I need to read it! & finally, The Kiss of Deception sounds like an incredible fantasy, and I adore the promise and the idea that we do not know which character is who until the end, I find that fascinating and very intriguing!  👏🏻

🏡 | An intimidating book on your TBR| 🏡

I have a whole post where I talk about my top 10 most intimidating books on my TBR, in case you want to check that out, there I explain better each one of my reasons. But basically, if I have to think of just one book, I’ll have to go for The Priory of The Orange Tree, I think it sounds totally incredible and I think it can handle a lot of possibilities to make it a super complete and addictive fantasy, but OMG, IT’S SO LONG. Maybe one day I dare and go for it because I’m highly interested, but its size is really intimidating, as well as all the hype that it had at the time, and continues to have.

🏡 | Top 3 priority books on your TBR | 🏡

Well, I think I’ve already shown you some of my priorities in my first answer so you know, but these are other of my priorities for the next 3 months or so.
We Are Not From Here is a physical ARC that I won in a Giveaway and although it comes out this May, more precisely on May 19, sadly I don’t think I can read it by that date. Even so, I’ll be reading it as soon as I can, it sounds incredible and I’m ready to support more Latino authors with their projects.
Mayhem is also an ARC that has been provided to me by the publisher itself, which fills me with happiness and it’s an honor to be able to read it before its release date on July 14. It sounds very powerful and it has also been recommended by Jeff Zentner, an author that I respect a lot.
Finally, I want to prioritize The Guinevere Deception, because I don’t want to let it be there in my TBR for years, I really want to read more from the author, I think it has very unique prose, that I cannot wait to read again.

If you want to know more about my priorities for this year, I have several posts referring to this: TOP 5 | 2020 MYSTERY/THRILLER BOOKS I WANT TO READ THIS YEAR 🔍, TOP 5 || SCI-FI BOOKS I WANT TO READ IN 2020 🚀, TOP 5 | 5-STAR BOOK PREDICTIONS | 2020 EDITION 🌿& TOP 5 || MY MOST ANTICIPATED BOOKS OF 2020 📖💫

🏡 | Recommend a short book | 🏡

Each of these books is amazing in its own way.
Elevation is a strong story about a man trying to do something good for the world before dying of a strange disease he’s suffering from. A unique plot with very realistic characters.
Every Heart a Doorway is simply AMAZING, the whole series is it, one of the most unique and original stories that I’ve come across also presents a lot of diversity in a plot where a group of children finds support in a institution, while they wait for the door to each of their world finally appears.
Evidence of the Affair is a story with characters as realistic as only this author can give us, it’s also a story that in a few pages, told through letters, manages to touch all our feelings, while two unknown people open their hearts when they find out that they’re being cheated by their partners.

🏡 | Recommend a long book | 🏡

These aren’t exactly the longest books I have read but they are the longest books I have read and LOVED, so I really wanted to recommend them.
Dreams of Gods & Monsters is actually the third and last book in the Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy, but I still wanted to recommend this whole trilogy in general, it’s absolutely fantastic, one of my all-time favorites and this conclusion it’s the cherry on the cake.
The Book Thief is probably one of the most incredible books I’ve read in my life, it’s heartbreaking but beautiful at the same time, and also super poetic. I highly recommend it if you haven’t read it yet, I know you’ll love it.
Middlegame was one of my favorite books from last year, this author continues to amaze me with each of her books, and this one is absolutely complex, unique, and mind-blowing. Maybe heavy on science and somewhat difficult to understand at first, but once you get into it you can’t put it down, it’s beautiful, LOVED IT!

🏡 | Something you’d love to do while stuck at home | 🏡

Opinion | Book gif, Best audiobooks, Audiobooks

Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot that I want to try more audiobooks during quarantine, so I can be more productive and listen while doing other things around the house, for example. I have a list with some audiobooks that you’ve recommended to me, but if you have any other that you think I should listen to, let me know!!
Also, I want to write more and really focus more on it, I’m progressing with my WIP and I feel very excited about it, although I’m at that stage where I’m very reserved about it, I don’t tell to absolutely anyone, not even what it is about, until I feel more secure about it, but I’m enjoying the process. It’s my first experience writing something like “seriously” and it’s a great learning experience.
I also really want to do yoga, I’ve never done and I think this could be a good time, beyond that… I’ve been cooking, which I usually HATE to do, I’m not passionate about cooking at all, but I’ve been doing sweet stuff and I enjoyed some recipes, which is good…I still prefer to eat, though 😅

🏡 | What do you plan on reading next? | 🏡

I could actually read any of the books I mentioned in my first answer, but I wanted to add The Hunger Games trilogy because I’m SO excited that I’ll finally read it this month and can’t wait to do so to share the experience with you. I hope I love it as much as most have.  😊

  1. Love this tag. There’s loads of great books on here! Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle was good. I had it on my tbr for ages, too, before I finally got round to it last month.

    • OMG, YAY!! 😍👏🏻 SO happy you liked it, I think you’ll love it, it’s one of my 5 stars predictions *fingers crossed*
Absolutely!! I will try to do yoga in the next few days, I think it could be fun and I always wanted to try to do it 😊✨

  2. The first book on my TBR list is “I Know This Much is True” by Wally Lamb. I see “The Hunger Games” up there. This story is based on the Japanese movie “Battle Royale” which I saw long ago. I couldn’t believe it when I saw “The Hunger Games”. It’s identical in narrative and characters and situations.

  3. Priory is DEFINITELY intimidating it’s so long. I’m glad Middlegame is one of your favorites because I’ve been anticipating it for a while! All the Hunger Games hype as of late scares me 😭

    • YES!! it’s so long, I’m afraid to start it and not enjoy it as much, you know? but it sounds SO good!
Middlegame is absolutely brilliant, but it can be a hit or miss for most people, it’s kind of heavy on science, but it’s worth it, I promise & I know! I’ve been ignoring The Hunger Games for so long, I really have to read it once and for all ✨❤️😊

  4. This looks like such a fun book tag! That audiobook gif is bloody amazing 😍😍
I’ve been trying to get back into writing recently and hopefully I’ll be able to do so soon 🤞
Priory of the orange tree is pretty good! The first 150 pages or so have a lot of info dumping and are kinda slow but overall it’s pretty enjoyable book.
    Have a great day 💕

It’s nice to know that Priory gets better as you go through it, I think it sounds too amazing, so I’m sure I’ll read it sometime 😍👏🏻
      Happy Reading ✨✨

  5. Thank you so much for tagging me! Can’t wait to do this💗 I had much fun reading your answers and found some good recommendations, I have to read Evidence of the Affair asap! I love TJR’s work and I bet I’ll love that book too.
I also received an ARC of Mayhem by the publisher and i can’t wait to read it, I think it has a big potential because of the message I think it gives to the audience. I’ve wanted to read The Kiss of Deception since 2016 or so, but it’s been stuck on my TBR forever. I also wish I had the time to read THG trilogy before the prequel comes out, but there’s many books on my TBR already😭

    • You’re welcome, love, I hope you have a lot of fun doing it! ❤️ Evidence Of The Affair is AMAZING, I cryed like a baby, so get ready for the feelings.😭 It’s great that you also have a Mayhem’s ARC! I hope we both enjoy it once we read it and OMG, same about The Kiss Of Deception, I feel that I’ll love it so I don’t know why I haven’t pick it up yet 😅
Oh, feel you! I hope you can read the trilogy sometime anyway, honey & I hope you’re having a great month ✨✨✨👏🏻

  6. Thanks for the tag, Sofii!! We have also been painting our home, and putting up shelves and all sorts of mini renovation things!! It’s almost like I’ve finally acknowledged we have the time to do all the little things we’ve been meaning to do!!

  7. This tag is perfect! I was just going to do the “Currently Reading book tag” but I think I’ll go with this one instead. Thank you so much for tagging me, hun ❤

The cover of «Each of Us a Desert» is absolutely stunning, and I saw in another post that you're really enjoying it as well.

Oooh, highly recommend the 7 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle, it's a very unique book and I loved it! In fact, that reminds me to check if Stuart Turton will be coming up with any new books this year! 😀

I really need to get my hands on Middlegame before I loose that excitement to read it. And I recently got the whole set of Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy! Very excited about it as well.

    • YAY!! I can’t wait to see your answers, I had a lot of fun doing it! ❤️
Each Of Us a Desert was wonderful, I know it will be that kind of “hit or miss” book, but it was absolutely everything I needed, super excited to more people read it when it comes out in September. 👏🏻✨
I can’t wait to read Stuart Turton’s book, I’m feeling I’ll love it *fingers crossed* plus, I’m glad you enjoyed it! 🥰
Middlegame & Daughter Of Smoke and Bone, are both WONDERFUL books, so I hope you love them once you read them 🥺🥺🥺

  10. Such a fun tag!!
I have also been focusing on meditation, journaling and yoga. Since you mentioned yoga, I have been doing it for a while now and if you really like it, you won’t regret trying it! Maybe it’s not for everyone, or maybe it’s, I don’t know that, what I know is that people definitely should try it and find out!
I read The Kiss of Deception some years ago and I actually enjoyed it very much! I have been waiting to have the other ones in physical copies to reread it and continue the series, the thing is that have been years…maybe 2020 is the year.
I have The Priory of the Orange Tree on my kindle, don’t know when I will read it but I’m excited!
Sounds like you had a great time painting, that’s amazing!
Hope you have a great week!
