🏡 Hi, guys! I hope you’re having the best day, you’re healthy and safe, I send you my best energy for your day from here and obviously, I hope you have a beautiful weekend.❤️ As you already know, sometimes I really want to bring you something relaxed for Fridays, so I decided to come with this wonderful book tag for which I’ve been tagged by the same creator to do it, she’s Ellyn | allonsythornraxx | who I adore, she’s an amazing blogger so if we don’t know her yet, I highly recommend you check out her blog, you won’t regret it!😍
I LOVE the idea of the tag and I think Ellyn has put it together perfectly, she did a great job, so I’m very excited to do it myself. The idea of this tag is to chat a little about what I’m currently reading, as well as tell you a little about my TBR and recommend some books, it sounds like a lot of fun for me and I hope it’s also for you! 👏🏻 So, without further ado … let’s get started! 🏡

🏡 | What are you currently reading? | 🏡
I’m writing this tag well in advance, so I going to be reading one of these books, surely you already know which one it is by now. I’m super excited, though, for all of them! especially for Each Of Us A Desert because it’s a new addition to my TBR this month! 😍
If you want to know everything I’ll be reading this month you can check HERE my TBR
🏡 | What’s your favourite ‘can’t-leave-the-house’ activity? | 🏡
Lately, I’ve been painting my house with my boyfriend and we have had a lot of fun with that, in fact, we are already done and I’m HAPPY with the results. Reading, of course, is still one of my favorite activities to do right now, writing, watching movies, playing video games, and I’ve also been much more focused on my spiritual side, so I’ve been meditating a lot & journaling, and that also keeps me mentally healthy during these difficult times.❤️
🏡 | A book you’ve been meaning to read for forever | 🏡
Any of these three books come to mind right now, I can’t believe I haven’t read any of these yet, but I hope to finally do it this 2020!
The 7½ Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle sounds so cleverly done and well thought out, I’m really curious to know what the outcome of such a compelling story will be like, Dark Matter sounds like everything I usually enjoy in movies and series, but in a book, so I really don’t have excuses, I need to read it! & finally, The Kiss of Deception sounds like an incredible fantasy, and I adore the promise and the idea that we do not know which character is who until the end, I find that fascinating and very intriguing! 👏🏻
🏡 | An intimidating book on your TBR| 🏡
I have a whole post where I talk about my top 10 most intimidating books on my TBR, in case you want to check that out, there I explain better each one of my reasons. But basically, if I have to think of just one book, I’ll have to go for The Priory of The Orange Tree, I think it sounds totally incredible and I think it can handle a lot of possibilities to make it a super complete and addictive fantasy, but OMG, IT’S SO LONG. Maybe one day I dare and go for it because I’m highly interested, but its size is really intimidating, as well as all the hype that it had at the time, and continues to have.
🏡 | Top 3 priority books on your TBR | 🏡
Well, I think I’ve already shown you some of my priorities in my first answer so you know, but these are other of my priorities for the next 3 months or so.
We Are Not From Here is a physical ARC that I won in a Giveaway and although it comes out this May, more precisely on May 19, sadly I don’t think I can read it by that date. Even so, I’ll be reading it as soon as I can, it sounds incredible and I’m ready to support more Latino authors with their projects.
Mayhem is also an ARC that has been provided to me by the publisher itself, which fills me with happiness and it’s an honor to be able to read it before its release date on July 14. It sounds very powerful and it has also been recommended by Jeff Zentner, an author that I respect a lot.
Finally, I want to prioritize The Guinevere Deception, because I don’t want to let it be there in my TBR for years, I really want to read more from the author, I think it has very unique prose, that I cannot wait to read again.
If you want to know more about my priorities for this year, I have several posts referring to this: TOP 5 | 2020 MYSTERY/THRILLER BOOKS I WANT TO READ THIS YEAR 🔍, TOP 5 || SCI-FI BOOKS I WANT TO READ IN 2020 🚀, TOP 5 | 5-STAR BOOK PREDICTIONS | 2020 EDITION 🌿& TOP 5 || MY MOST ANTICIPATED BOOKS OF 2020 📖💫
🏡 | Recommend a short book | 🏡
Each of these books is amazing in its own way.
Elevation is a strong story about a man trying to do something good for the world before dying of a strange disease he’s suffering from. A unique plot with very realistic characters.
Every Heart a Doorway is simply AMAZING, the whole series is it, one of the most unique and original stories that I’ve come across also presents a lot of diversity in a plot where a group of children finds support in a institution, while they wait for the door to each of their world finally appears.
Evidence of the Affair is a story with characters as realistic as only this author can give us, it’s also a story that in a few pages, told through letters, manages to touch all our feelings, while two unknown people open their hearts when they find out that they’re being cheated by their partners.
🏡 | Recommend a long book | 🏡
These aren’t exactly the longest books I have read but they are the longest books I have read and LOVED, so I really wanted to recommend them.
Dreams of Gods & Monsters is actually the third and last book in the Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy, but I still wanted to recommend this whole trilogy in general, it’s absolutely fantastic, one of my all-time favorites and this conclusion it’s the cherry on the cake.
The Book Thief is probably one of the most incredible books I’ve read in my life, it’s heartbreaking but beautiful at the same time, and also super poetic. I highly recommend it if you haven’t read it yet, I know you’ll love it.
Middlegame was one of my favorite books from last year, this author continues to amaze me with each of her books, and this one is absolutely complex, unique, and mind-blowing. Maybe heavy on science and somewhat difficult to understand at first, but once you get into it you can’t put it down, it’s beautiful, LOVED IT!
🏡 | Something you’d love to do while stuck at home | 🏡
Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot that I want to try more audiobooks during quarantine, so I can be more productive and listen while doing other things around the house, for example. I have a list with some audiobooks that you’ve recommended to me, but if you have any other that you think I should listen to, let me know!!
Also, I want to write more and really focus more on it, I’m progressing with my WIP and I feel very excited about it, although I’m at that stage where I’m very reserved about it, I don’t tell to absolutely anyone, not even what it is about, until I feel more secure about it, but I’m enjoying the process. It’s my first experience writing something like “seriously” and it’s a great learning experience.
I also really want to do yoga, I’ve never done and I think this could be a good time, beyond that… I’ve been cooking, which I usually HATE to do, I’m not passionate about cooking at all, but I’ve been doing sweet stuff and I enjoyed some recipes, which is good…I still prefer to eat, though 😅
🏡 | What do you plan on reading next? | 🏡
I could actually read any of the books I mentioned in my first answer, but I wanted to add The Hunger Games trilogy because I’m SO excited that I’ll finally read it this month and can’t wait to do so to share the experience with you. I hope I love it as much as most have. 😊
