☕️ Hi, guys! I hope you’re having a beautiful day full of good readings, from here I send you my best energy and I wish you have a great weekend! ❤️ I am, as you see, trying to keep up with my tags & awards so I feel super excited, I know that this year I’ll succeed *over-confident face* 😅 . Today I bring you to share with you “The Book Addiction” tag, where I’ll be answering a series of bookish questions so you can know me more and especially so that we can share about our literary preferences. I was tagged by one of my favorite people in the community, my beloved Jenna | Bookmark Your Thoughts | who you probably already heard of here on my blog because I can’t stop talking about how wonderful she is and how much I love her blog 😍, so thanks, Jenna, I’m absolutely blessed to have met you and to have you in my life, and I hope that if you don’t know her blog yet, go check it out, I promise you won’t regret it! 🥰
I hope you find this tag fun and you know that even if I can’t tag everyone and you feel like doing it, please consider tagging by me, I would LOVE to know your opinions & I‘m sorry if some questions have already been answered on previously tags/awards, I’ll try not to repeat myself to make this a more entertaining process for you and me. Finally, thanks for being there, I see you and I feel you and I’m very happy for your support & let’s start!! ☕️

☕️ | What is the longest amount of time you can comfortably go without picking up a book? | ☕️
I can be comfortable without picking up any book maybe for a couple of days maximum, it’s not something that really takes my sleep away, but the truth is that I love being in the middle of a reading, so probably a couple of days, at least that’s a holiday season or very busy then could be even longer. But I’m totally ok with that
☕️ | How many books do you carry on your person (or kindle) at any one time? | ☕️
If I carry my Kindle with me, then there are many books, I guess lol, but in general I only carry with me what I’m reading at the moment because I also feel more comfortable reading in my house, so I don’t usually carry many books with me if I visit somewhere, unless I plan to stay a few days. But usually, I only have the one I’m reading at that time.
☕️ | Do you keep every book you buy/receive or are you happy to pass them on to make space for more? | ☕️
Yes, I keep every book I read, obviously, I’d have no problem giving it to someone else especially if I didn’t like the book so much, but where I live there aren’t many people who read in English then it’s kind of complicated, so I end up keeping with every book I read.
I think that one day I would love to have my small library room in my house, that would give me a lot of pleasure & happiness, but I also think that if one day I live abroad then it could be easier to give my books to someone that can enjoy them more. The ones I do enjoy, obviously I would keep them forever
☕️ | How long would you spend in a bookshop on a standard visit? | ☕️
Here in my city, there’s only one bookshop and if I decide to go buy a book there then I can easily stay forever lol. Every time I go I can spend half an hour easily, it’s not very big but every book I see catches my attention. I have no self-control!
☕️ | How much time per day do you actually spend reading? | ☕️
This year one of my goals is to try to read at least 1 hour EVERY day. I didn’t read every day because sometimes I was too busy or just distracted by something else, let’s be honest lol, but so far I’m enjoying doing this a lot. Usually, if I sit down to read and I have time, I can spend up to 3 hours reading, I can’t always do this, but I wouldn’t have a problem. Sometimes, if I’m not sleepy, I go to bed at night and read and if I don’t have to do anything the next day then I can read more than that.
☕️ | Where does the task ‘picking up a book’ appear on your daily to-do list?| ☕️
This is hard to say because it all really depends on my day. I usually like to save my reading time for when I’m calm and relaxed, so first I do EVERYTHING I have to do in the day and then I pick up the book at night or maybe I do my important things in the morning and then I can sit and read for a while with my coffee, it’s like my therapy moment. But always has to be something I do when I’m free from anxiety because otherwise my head is somewhere else and I can’t concentrate properly.
☕️ | How many books do you reckon you own in total (including eBooks)? | ☕️
I’ve honestly never counted my e-books because I have A LOT, you know how, I’ve already told you thousands of times, it’s much more accessible for me to buy e-books than a physical book, so obviously I have many more electronic books than in my physical bookshelf. I can estimate that I own about 50 physical books and maybe more than 100 e-books if that’s possible lol
☕️ | Approximately how often do you bring up books in a conversation? | ☕️
A LOT, I think … I tend to talk a lot about books with my boyfriend and my brothers because none of them have a choice and they have to listen when I’m excited about a book I’m reading or one that’s going to come out lol. But if it’s a person who doesn’t read or has no interest in books then I don’t mention it because I know that they wouldn’t really be interested in knowing my opinion. Sometimes it’s inevitable, you know? I LOVE books, so it’s obvious that it will happen, thank God I have this blog to chat about books with you
☕️ | What is the biggest book (page count) you have finished reading? | ☕️
It by Stephen King, This deadly weapon has about 1156 pages!!
☕️ | Is there a book you had to get your hands on against all odds (i.e. searching bookshops, online digging, etc.)? | ☕️
I think I would say my Harry Potter Hufflepuff editions, because I had to order them in my bookstore and it took a million years to arrive and I also had to pay a lot more, it was a challenge but I’m happy with them, cause are beautiful. Even so, I don’t think I would do all that to get a special edition again, it was only because it’s Harry Potter and I know you feel me
☕️ | A book you struggled to finish but refused to DNF?| ☕️
King of Scars by Leigh Bardugo. Don’t get me wrong, I ended up enjoying the book especially because I LOVE the characters but OH MY … is super slow-paced. Many occasions I was so bored that I honestly thought about not finishing it but something told me that I had to give it a real chance because again, I LOVE the characters and I knew would read the worst plot of life just because of them & I think that actually, it was worth it because THAT ENDING blow me away… Pure GOLD
☕️ | What are three of your main book goals for 2020? | ☕️
Originally the question is about 2019 but you know I’m doing this a year later lol. Well, I have a WHOLE a post talking about this in greater depth, as well as my more personal goals, so I’ll leave that in case you are interested HERE.
Here are 3 of my main goals:
- Read 70 books
- Read more book genres
- Read old YA popular series
☕️ | Have you ever had the privilege of converting someone into a read (maybe via inspiration or incessant nagging)? | ☕️
I feel SO happy to say YES, I met my boyfriend about 10 years ago, we were together 7 years ago now, and he had never read ONE. SINGLE. BOOK. and the thing is that he has given incredible so much support especially with the whole blog thing and moving forward with this, he has always been there encouraging me, even today. So I obviously wanted to get him involved and I had him read 4 books in barely 3 months, which was incredible for him because I know that he really enjoys what he read and nothing makes me happier. Nowadays, he doesn’t read that much, but now at least consider doing it, which is extraordinary & of course, I’m trying to instill the reading to my brothers, I have 2 younger brothers, one of 18 and another of 16 years old, the oldest one is nothing interested, he’s the sport guy of the family, you know lol, BUT … my little brother, on the other hand, YES and not only reads but also WRITE! I’m SO proud guys, I won’t start talking because I would never finish telling you how much I love my brothers.
I want to take this moment to ask if you would like to see another post of my boyfriend choosing my TBR? maybe some of my brothers too, why not? WHAT DO YOU SAY? Let me know in the comments! 🤔
