November Wrap Up || Prioritizing my Personal Life & Reading Two of my Favorite Authors || 2019 🌻

🌻 Hi guys!! I hope you’re having the best day & you’re enjoying your reading 💞 Today I bring you my beloved Wrap Up of the month of November, where I’ll talk about all the books I’ve read during the month. WOW, what a month, you guys! It has been an emotions rollercoaster, no doubt. The month began with me going away on a mini-break/vacation thing and visiting family, and I finish with my mother’s surgery and has been a crazy month, really. On the one hand, I’m happy because I look back and I’m lucky that I have a wonderful family and I’m grateful because my mother has had the opportunity to go to surgery to improve her of life quality and that’s wonderful, but on the other hand, I’ve been so stressed because I had to deal with a lot of things, I’0m the big sister, you know lol, so it was an intense month I would say. Even so, always staying very positive because I know how lucky I am because I also have YOU ❤️, who have been amazing this month, and have understood and supported me in everything, so THANK YOU SO SO MUCH! You’re incredible & I’ve been blessed with hundreds of wonderful comments wishing a good recovery to my mom, she’s doing incredible guys, thank you very much for all that beautiful energy. 💫

In other news, the blog has turned 3 years old this month!! 🎉 OMG, time really flies, right? I hope and want to continue blogging for much longer and continue to share my love for reading with each of you, as well as continue learning and growing. 👏🏻 I feel this community as part of my family and that’s such a warm and beautiful thing to feel, you have to know that you’re never alone if you are part of the book community. 🥰

Literally me … always 😅

Because of everything I previously told you, it has been a busy month, so I haven’t had the chance to read much, yet I’m happy to have been able to fit 3 books in my super busy month. So in spite of everything, I would call it successful 😊 , because I also enjoyed EVERYTHING I read, some more and others less, but all of them great books that I die to share with you. I read books by my favorite authors: Taylor Jenkins Reid & Leigh Bardugo, I’ve both had them in my bookshelf for a while now, so I was super excited to finally read them and I had another super unexpected reading of a subject that I love … I’m so excited to start telling you how I felt about each one of these books and to know your opinion! 😍 So, without further ado, let’s start & LOVE YOU! 🌻

👏🏻 My Small but Satisfying Reading Stack! 📚

🌻 The Secret (The Secret #1) by Rhonda Byrne || I really enjoyed this reading, a long time ago I wanted to know what this book was about and why all the hype it had at the time, so this year that I’ve been more connected with myself and have been knowing more about the subject of the law of the attraction, that’s something that fascinates me, so I’ve decided to read it. And I liked it a lot, it’s a book that as I mentioned before, resonates a lot with me and my way of seeing the world. But leaving that aside, I don’t think it’s a book for everyone and I see and understand why it has such low ratings and I absolutely respect it, that’s why I’ll not write a review about it, much less, I’m not interested in deepening the subject, since I think it’s something very personal of mine and I prefer to leave it that way, I also know that the opinions are very polarized and I don’t want a debate or something like that, I think that each person is a world and every belief and spirituality should be respected. So if the law of attraction resonates with you and is something that catches your attention, I would recommend this reading to you.

🌻 Maybe in Another Life by Taylor Jenkins Reid || Enjoy A LOT of this book, I was looking forward to reading something more from the author because, so far, all her books have been incredible and this hasn’t been an exception, despite being my lowest rating for the author, I still enjoyed the experience reading it, It’s a book that keeps you reading, is super addictive and also very easy to read, in addition the characters are very relatable and real, besides OMG, that small convention between something fantastic and something contemporary seemed brilliant to me. Each chapter follows a different timeline where we see how Hannah’s life goes after having chosen different paths in her life and what would have happened in each life under different choices. Super entertaining and I loved the characters, especially has a great friendship that I adored those who are like family, you know? I love that and the romance I think was in its right measure and wasn’t invasive at all. In short, I enjoyed following Hannah trying to decipher and discover who she is and what she wants to do with her life. Very enjoyable and the ending is satisfactory. || I’ll write a full review VERY SOON, I promise ||

🌻 King of Scars (Nikolai Duology #1) by Leigh Bardugo || Oh, WOW, this book!! Even when the book wasn’t what I expected, I enjoyed it very much and I’m so happy to have returned to the Grisha universe is one of my favorite places to be. I was SO scared, though, to read this book but I knew I had to do it before the end of the year so I grabbed and devoured it, it was very difficult to read at times I felt that 500 pages maybe it’s a lot for what the story has to deliver. Seeing the characters again made me feel so nostalgic, I missed them so much, especially Nikolai, whom I love. To sum up my feelings, I think the plot itself is a bit messy at times and has many internal monologues and we go more to the past than to the future, you know? On the other hand, I adored having known a little more about the past of the main characters, that has given them a depth and a different meaning for me, now I understand more their choices and the paths they have decided to take. I think that ALL this book is a great opening for what will be a fantastic sequel, I can’t wait … after that shocking and unexpected ending, I’m looking forward to having the next book in my hands, I can’t wait!
If you want to know more about my thoughts, because I have A LOT OF THEM, then I’ll leave you the link to my full review here below, which if you have read until the end … you’re my hero, I know that I get a little intense sometimes in my reviews cause I don’t want to skip any subject, so it’s a bit long but I hope you enjoy it.
PS: Leigh’s writing style only gets better, this woman is a magnificent writer! || BOOK REVIEW ||

    • Well, that’s great!! 🥰 I hope you can read something by her soon, any of her works are good, but I would obviously recommend The Seven Husbands if you haven’t read it yet. Maybe in Another Life was a lot of fun! and it’s also SO easy to read, I loved it!
I hope you enjoy them once you read them ❤️❤️

  2. I really really need to start reading Taylor Jenkins Reid’s books, I’ve heard nothing but amazing things about them! I didn’t read as much in November, but I did read all the books I wanted to read 😀 My favorite is SORCERESS by Claudia Gray, which is the final book of an old YA series I’m finishing. It felt really nice to finally finish an old series and cross it off my list! 🙂

  5. Happy 3 year blogiversary and I hope your mother is doing much better now 😀 Sounds like it was a bit of a stressful month, so hopefully this month is a bit more relaxed. And I agree with your thoughts on King of Scars. I loved revisiting the Grishaverse and reuniting with the original characters of the series. Nikolai is just the best and Bardugo is such a talented writer. Some things just didn’t work for me in that book, but I’m still really excited to see what happens next! That cliffhanger! Happy reading and good luck this month ❤
