☕️ Hi guys! I hope you’re having a great day, full of fantastic readings. 💕 I haven’t been having much time to read, I already told you that I’ve been looking for a job, and I haven’t yet achieved anything for sure, but for now I’m helping my aunt in her salon and that plus family matters are taking all my time to read, even so, I take it easy and I’ll soon participate in a read-a-thon, so that will surely motivate me to read a little more. 😊
Today I bring you a SUPER fun book tag that I’ve seen around the blogosphere a lot and finally I’ve decided to try it myself. This is basically about choosing 3 books, that you have already read, per round and from them choose one that you want to “Burn“, another that you prefer to “Rewrite” and another that you would like to “Reread“. To make this more complicated, I’ve chosen 18 of my favorite books so I’ll surely be suffering a lot throughout this post, but I hope it’s fun and entertaining for you. 😅 I’ve put the names of each book on a page that will choose the books randomly, so it will be super interesting to see what book will go in each round. Without further ado let’s start because I’m very excited but also terrified, it will be an AMAZING experience lol ☕️
Round #1
Reread
📖 Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare || Each time, I’m starting with my Reread, because I’ll go from the most “easy choice” to the most difficult. It’s harder than I thought it would be. But I can’t choose another book but this one, I LOVE the whole trilogy and the characters with all my heart, but this third book is, in my opinion, one of the best conclusions to a series that I’ve ever read, so no doubt, I would go back to read it thousands of times.
Rewrite
📝 Blue Lily, Lily Blue by Maggie Stiefvater || Oh god, My soul told me that I wouldn’t forgive myself if I burned this one, so I’ll choose to rewrite it, although it’s my favorite book in the series, I could add a little more magical and whimsical moments, since I feel that maybe it focuses more on the character, which I love, but I have to choose some reason and I think that makes sense.
Burn
🔥 Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead || OMG, my girls Rose and Lissa, I love you both forever, Sorry! It was very difficult, but I think it would be the best decision of the three to burn this one, because it’s already a fairly old series and I’ve had time to re-read it maybe, but ugh, it still hurts to do it, but I couldn’t burn any of the others books so this is a strong book, can handle it. I LOVE this series, so I still recommend it lol
Round #2
Reread
📖 It Ends with Us by Colleen Hoover || This is probably the best book the author has written so far, at least of those that I’ve read. There’s not a single thing that would change it, so I would undoubtedly read it again. Touches on the issue of violence in a very crude and personal way and the ending is hopeful and inspiring, I really like it.
Rewrite
📝 The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken || Again, there’s no possibility of burning this book, I re-read it last year and it was SO incredible, it just made me love this series more. It has everything I love, but maybe I could rewrite a couple of things. Maybe add more pages to further develop each character’s past and also learn more about the villains. But overall it’s great. This is so ridiculous because obviously I love each one of these books, so I hope it makes sense to you lol.
Burn
🔥 City of Bones by Cassandra Clare || I feel a little embarrassed right now because this book marked a before and after in my reading taste, but hey, I guess I can excuse myself by saying that it’s probably the author’s weakest work, since it’s the beginning of this great story. And I think I could still read about the characters in future short stories and other books, so I won’t feel so bad
Round #3
Reread
📖 I’ll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson || OMG, I can’t believe I’m doing this to myself, I swear. This round is the hardest so far because these three books are just EVERYTHING for me, so whatever I’ll do it’s going to hurt, so well, here I’m choosing this one to reread because it has a little bit of my heart and I could honestly read it again millions of times without getting tired of, the story is beautiful and moving.
Rewrite
📝 Ruin and Rising by Leigh Bardugo || Do you know what I feel right now? It’s something like having to decide between burning one of your children lol. I couldn’t burn this one in a million nightmares, it would be like burning a house and that my love The Darkling lives inside, no, that won’t happen. Maybe I would rewrite the ending a bit, I think it’s tragically beautiful, but it could be even more epic, especially that death happening over there, I would take that off and maybe Alina’s ending as well, the book would be perfect if I change that.
Burn
🔥 The Wicked Deep by Shea Ernshaw || NOOOOOOOO !!!! I HATE THIS *crying dramatically*
I hate to do this but it’s an impossible decision to make. This book is wonderful but I think the other two have had more time to take roots in my heart and soul, so that’s why I’ll choose to burn it, although then I’ll collect the ashes and make a spell to restore it, then I will be fine.
Round #4
Reread
📖 The Midnight Star by Marie Lu || I love this trilogy SO much, but this third and final book is a masterpiece. If you like anti-hero dark characters, but at the same time knowing that you’ll love and support them until the end, then you should read this trilogy. I know the author is better known for another of her books, so this trilogy deserves more love.
I would re-read it forever
Rewrite
📝 Ignite Me by Tahereh Mafi || I’m not sure what to rewrite from this book because personally I think it’s the best one of the series I’ve read so far. I would put more scenes of Kenji because he’s the best and I love him. I’m cheating here? I don’t know, I hope not
Burn
🔥 We Were Liars by E. Lockhart || I can’t believe I’m burning this one, but I think it makes sense to do it or at least it’s the weakest of the three in my heart. It’s still a great book but I already know the plot twist, so I don’t feel I would read it again, you know?. It makes me sad to see so many people thinking it’s a bad book because I think it’s so smartly well-done, even well, this time has to sacrifice itself for the team.
Round #5
Reread
📖 The Forever Song by Julie Kagawa || I LOVE, I LOVE, I LOVE this book and in fact, I am really dying to reread the whole trilogy. It’s another one of those that I think deserves more love and recognition. It’s one of the best vampire stories I’ve ever read, it’s bloody and quite violent but the characters are incredible and their growth is brilliant. I highly recommend it!
Rewrite
📝 We Are Okay by Nina LaCour || This book means so much to me in such a deep and personal way, I really adore it. But I wish it were longer since I feel it lacks a bit of development in several aspects. It conquered my heart, but I understand why there are people who can’t feel committed to the plot, that’s why I wish it was longer.
Burn
🔥 Don’t Look Back by Jennifer L. Armentrout || Loved this book when I read it, it’s one of those that has made me love the mystery genre and the author is always brilliant with an addictive writing style. But I’ve decided to burn this one because of the fact that I feel that I wouldn’t be able to love it as much if I would read it today, you know?? I feel that today, having read much more, I’m more demanding and maybe this book has a cliche kind of plot. On the other hand, I enjoyed it a lot, it’s still in my favorites and I still recommend it. The ending is great.
Round #6
Reread
📖 Radio Silence by Alice Oseman || I would re-read this book a million times, in fact, I should do it since it has been a year since I read it! It’s my favorite book of the past year and one of my favorites of all time, a book full of gender and sexual diversity. It’s such a beautiful story, full of love, friendship, and family. There’s no way I rewrite anything about it and much less burn it
Rewrite
📝 Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor || Well, welcome to my section where I put the books that I don’t want to burn, but I don’t know how to justify that I want to rewrite them lol. If I had to talk about the whole trilogy, I would probably say that I would like to see more of Brimstone, I love him so much, he’s still one of my favorite characters.
Burn
🔥 The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin || Thank God it’s the last book I should put here lol, I don’t want anymore! I love this series and although not many people share my feelings, I’m proud to say that it’s one of my favorites. I burn it this time because it’s SO hard to choose and maybe this is the weakest in terms of writing and characters, so I’ll let it go.

I hope you enjoyed it and if you’re interested in doing it yourself, please do! I TAG YOU!
I know it’s a bit messy because it’s so difficult to choose, but the result seems funny and I hope that in general, it has been entertaining enough for you. 😊
I hope you have the most beautiful day and see you very soon. I LOVE YOU! ❤️

Agree that Daughter of Smoke and Bone needed more Brimstone! I wish he’d had a bigger part.
Also agree about We Are Okay. I expect more character development from Nina La Cour books. That one fell a bit flat for me.

Exactly!!! Brimstone is brilliant, I miss him so much 😭
I’m glad you agree, I must read more of Nina La Cour soon 😍

Ohh I love reading and watching these types of things! They sound like so much fun to do!
Even though I haven’t read all the books you’ve mentioned, I have to say that I totally agree with some of your re-read and re-write *coughs* rewriting the ending of Ruin and Rising *coughs*😅.

I’m so glad you liked it!! 💕 OMG, YES, we need a second version of that ending 😅

(Also, I would have burned or rewritten The Wicked Deep – that ending was too sweet for me!!)

I KNOOOW!!!! These are decisions that I would never like to take again 😂
I get what you mean, although I LOVE that book, the ending could be modified a bit, maybe something darker 😊

I’d definitely re-read IT ENDS WITH US and Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover.

LOVE It End With Us so much!! and you can’t believe this, but I haven’t read Maybe Someday yet, I feel like I’ll love it but Colleen’s books are so intense that I’m waiting for the right moment 😅

Oh wow this must have been hard to do. I either love the books on here or am dying to read them still. I feel so bad for the Vampire Academy book. What you’ve said about some of the others has left me itching to read them through. Even though Wicked Deep was burned it’s still wonderful to hear that you loved it – I’ve seen rather mixed reviews – and I’m desperate to read it as it sounds amazing. I also still need to read a Marie Lu book but have no idea where to start. Maybe I’ll go for the trilogy that you mentioned though as I do own the first one (it’s true that it doesn’t get mentioned as much though). Another that I can’t believe I haven’t read yet is Julie Kagawas vampire series. I own two (I think) but I guess they got lost within all my other books 😂 I adore vampires though and thought what she did with fairies in her other series was fantastic.

It was difficult, yes, but also a lot of fun!! 😍
I know, my poor baby Vampire Academy, always in my heart! I swear that one day I would love to re-read the whole saga but it’s so long that I should think about it 😅
OMG, please read both trilogies, I couldn’t recommend them enough, but if you love vampires then you’ll love Blood of Eden trilogy, it’s full of action and has extraordinary characters, plus: some shocking moments, it really deserves more love and recognition. Let me know if you read it, I would love to know your thoughts❤️
I hope you’re having an incredible month 😊

It looks it (:
I’ve somehow never read the spin off from it and was going to recently but then I fell into a slump /: no idea why it keeps happening as I’m loving the books I’m reading. I hope you get a chance to reread it one day.
It does sound good (: and I own them both so I do hope to get to then soon. I’ll make sure I let you know what I think when I do 😊
Thank you, I hope you are as well ❤️

OHMYGODOHMYGODOHMYGODDDD! DONT BURN THEMMM!! nooooooo!! 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 “We were liars” was SUCH A HEART WRENCHING BOOK! 😭😭😭 But i agree with you about knowing the plot twist and not wanting to read it again! I mean, that’s the thing with these thrillers, isn’t it? USUALLY There is very little chance of retreading them because a plot twist is all they provide and once that is gone, there is not much left in them to re read. (EXCEPT THE CLASSIC ONES OF COURSE 😅)
SERIOUSLY THOUGHH!! sooo sooooo soooooo many beautiful books! ARRRRGHGGHGHGSGSHAAKKDN!! i love them! And your post, wow, so aesthetic! 😍😍❤️ loved it!

Thank you SO much, honey!, It makes me really happy that you liked the post, it was fun to do but also so difficult, but still so cool 😅

Lovely answers for this tag! Some of these were really tough choices haha. I’m happy you’re re-reading I’ll Give You The Sun, it’s such a fantastic read and I would have picked that one, too. And Radio Silence ahhhhhhhh I love this book with all of my heart as well ❤

Definitely agree about clockwork princess, blue lily lily blue and vampire academy. I loved the young elites series too!! And really like radio silence, though I don’t think I could rewrite daughter of smoke and bone! So many of these choices feel like torture!! But it’s good you ended on one you aren’t into anymore (I’d have burned that one too, it isn’t for me). This was fun to read!!
