💫 Hi guys, I hope you’re having a beautiful day and you’re enjoying your readings, I’m sure that this week will bring many good things to you. 💕
I’m trying to catch up with my Awards and Tags, I feel so honored that so many wonderful people think of me when they make their tags and decide to nominate me, it means a lot to me. And I know that I’ve been neglecting this type of post a bit, even though I think they’re super fun and I also love answering questions and then having discussions with you in the comments, so I don’t know why I don’t do them! OMG, the struggle, right? 😅
Well, today I bring you “The Sunshine Blogger Award” and I’ve been nominated by the amazing Destiny || Howling Libraries 💞, whom I admire deeply both because she’s a beautiful person and for all the work she puts on her blog. I think you may follow her already, but if you don’t, I don’t know what you’re waiting for! You won’t regret it. 😊
I know that I’m not the most interesting person to listen to or in this case, to read lol, but I hope you enjoy the post and that we can share opinions in the comments and you can tell me what you would answer for each question, it will be fun. Let’s start! 💫
💫 What was the last book you strongly disliked? 💫
I think The Pisces by Melissa Broder, you know why I don’t like this book already but basically, it has a lot of content that isn’t for me, from a terrible main character to animal abuse, and all this to prove a point at the end. I know there are many people who love this book, in fact, it has awards and everything, so I respect that, but for me, it’s a big NO😤
💫 How does your star rating system work for your reviews (if you use one)? 💫
Well, YES, I use a rating system, I use the stars one ⭐️, which is the most average and most used one, but I really like it a lot so that’s fine. I’m quite picky with my ratings, and I like to give half stars because for some reason it makes better sense in my head lol. I don’t usually give 1 ⭐️, but if I do, it’s because that book is a disaster or do nothing for me at all. 2 ⭐️⭐️, is more likely, is when although the book has a positive thing or to highlight, mostly I didn’t like it and I wouldn’t recommend it. 3 ⭐️⭐️⭐️, is more common in me, and as we all know, the most difficult rating to explain, in my case it’s not a bad rating, at all, it’s when a book has several positive points but even so it seemed average and/or I didn’t feel 100% committed to it or when has several negative aspects. But it’s almost always in the middle, it’s a book that’s fine and maybe I would recommend it. A 4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, is obviously really good, it’s a book that I mostly enjoyed a lot and may have some aspect which I’m not sure about or maybe I couldn’t commit myself to it from the first pages but then I loved it, or something like that, but in general a 4 star is a book that I loved and that I would definitely recommend. A 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, for me is very difficult to give, I’m quite demanding as I mentioned before, and I try to give 5 stars to books that I really feel deserve it, a book that I LOVED, no doubt, and that’s perfect under my point of view. Then half-stars 💫 is obviously when I don’t feel that one number is enough and I feel that it’s more something between two of them, for example: if I give a book 4 stars it’s an incredible book, but if I add the .5 stars, It’s because I probably feel that it’s a little more incredible and is very close to the 5 stars.
I hope it makes sense I know it’s a bit confusing, I should do a whole post just talking about how my mind works 😂
💫 What are your favorite pizza toppings? 💫
OMG, I love this question. 😄 I don’t know if I have a pizza topping that doesn’t like, being honest, but my favorite things are cheese, A LOT of cheese, as long as I can put cheese on something I’ll be happy lol. Then I love olives and arugula, I don’t know if that’s the right way to say it in English, but it’s like a little green leaf that tastes bitter and it’s the best EVER thing.
💫 Would you rather read a great plot with mediocre characters, or a boring plot with amazing characters? 💫
A boring plot with amazing characters, all the way!!! 😍 For me, the characters in a book are the central point and if they’re not good then it’s very difficult for me to enjoy
💫 How many books are you currently reading, and which one is your favorite so far? 💫
I’m currently reading only one book, and that’s The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller, and OMG, spoilers alert: LOVING IT !!! SO GOOD. 💕
💫 What was the last book review you posted? 💫
My last review is for the book The Shadowverse by John-Clement Gallo. A book that has pleasantly surprised me, it contains travels through portals and different universes and a group of friends who fight against a villain using his superpowers. Very entertaining, but it has many sci-fi elements, so if you usually enjoy that, then you’ll love it
💫 Do you prefer MG, YA, NA, or adult books? 💫
I’m more involved in the YA world, so I usually read a lot of that, but still, I don’t think I have a favorite or one I prefer over others. Although it’s often difficult for me to find a good NA book, I’m never closed to read any of them, if I think the book sounds good then I’ll read it. 😊
💫 Is there a popular author you’re NOT interested in reading anything by? (Elaborate if you’re comfortable doing so!) 💫
I don’t think there’s any author I’m sure I’ll never read, in fact, there are some that I don’t want to read again, but I’ve tried to know that their styles don’t go with me, you know? I don’t think I would judge an author before trying his work. I should make a post about the authors that I won’t read again, though, and why, it would be interesting to know your opinions as well 🤔
💫 What marginalized rep would you most strongly like to see more of in books? 💫
WOW, I don’t know if I could mention just one, there are many representations that haven’t yet been touched and even others that although they’re things that have been written before, aren’t done in the right way. I think that speaking a little for me, I would like to see more Latin characters, and I would like above all, that it’s well decrypted and respectfully, instead of cliche and uncomfortable. It’s very important that if an author decides to give voice to a representation, they should inform themselves well and give us something that feels real and well done, I also strongly believe that books should be given to those people who feel identified with the rep and thus know more own voices reviews, not just the popular booktubers reviews. Spilling the tea? YEP 😅
💫 Do you listen to music while reading?💫
No, but I wish I could do it!!, it sounds super fun and I know there are those who even have their own lists to listen to while they read and I love that, but it doesn’t work for me, I get distracted very easily and I would end up singing instead of reading 😅
💫 Do you prefer book twitter or bookstagram?💫
I have a book twitter so I understand more about that, and I enjoy it very much, there are many beautiful people always very participatory, and I really love it. I don’t have a bookstagram yet, I was thinking about maybe starting one at some point, no right now, but I don’t rule out the idea, though. Sounds and looks great, but I feel it can be stressful and as I’m a perfectionist I know I will have to take it easy. But I know a lot of people love it so I’m sure it’s great
I always create my own questions for this type of post, but this time I want to know more answers to Destiny’s incredible questions, so I hope she doesn’t mind if I use her own, I just LOVE THEM 😍

Before finishing, I wanted to tell you something. I don’t usually talk about my personal life and less when something bad is happening, because this is my safe place and I just want to bring positivity and good energies, but I have to be honest too and even more when this may be affecting my blogging life.
I thought about doing a whole post just about this, as not to overshadow the rest of the post, but I don’t feel like speaking much since it makes me very sad
I’m having a difficult time in my life right now, I’ve lost my job and I’m really worried and very sad about this, I also live in a country that is in crisis right now and getting another job isn’t easy. I hope you can understand me, if I don’t get to post on time or if I get late with my readings or that kind of thing, but I’m in an unstable state of mind where sometimes I just don’t want to do anything, so you know. It’s a bad moment but I’m sure it will happen and I’m trying to do my best.
I LOVE YOU SO MUCH, all your support and love means the world to me, blogging makes me happy and I hope to continue doing it for many more years, it’s the place where I can get forget about my problems and chat with you about my love for books, so really I want you to know that this is saving me all the time somehow and you’re part of it. THANK YOU SO MUCH for all the comments and likes, I’m constantly feeling all that love.
I hope you have a BEAUTIFUL week, I know that it’s not my usual way to finish a post but I had to mention it because I know that this is a big part of my life, so yes, I hope to bring you good news soon.❤️
