❄️ Hi guys!! I hope you’re having the best day and every time you see your beautiful face in the mirror you love yourself as much as I love you. 💞 Today I bring you our beloved Wrap Up of the month of June where I’ll talk about all the books I’ve read during the month.
This was a great month, I feel like I started it with a lot of energy and finished it with a lot of energy, you know, so I’m really enjoying the moment. Winter has come where I live, which means I’m almost frozen myself writing this post, I swear I can’t feel my fingers, damn circulation.😂 But on the other hand, I adore cold weather, I feel that put me on a better mood, I have more desire to do things, I love the combination of my coffee, my blanket, and my book when returning home from work, it’s those little moments when you know you’re completely happy, you know? I LOVE it.⛄️
I‘ve been feeling much more connected with you this month, I feel that despite having been a little messy with my post schedule, I had a month full of interactions with wonderful people within the community, I have seen many new faces in my comments what It makes me SO HAPPY 😭 ❤️, so in that aspect, it has been a great month. I’ve participated in a read-a-thon, and I’ve spent such a great time with it, I’ve pushed myself out my comfort zone with my readings, what I recommend you do from time to time, it’s such a fun experience!.
Well I think I’ve started talking too much, I always think that I’ll not have anything to say, I don’t know if I’m the only one, but sometimes I think “Oh, what I’m going to write about on my wrap up?, I’m so uninteresting” lol, but here I’m talking of anything less than what brings us here, so without more further ado, I want to tell you EVERYTHING about the book I read. 😊
I‘ve had a great reading month, you’ll see in my statistics below, but in summary, I feel happy to be able to say that I’ve read more than normal, it’s not much for you I guess, I know that compared to many of you I read quite a bit, but the important thing is that I enjoyed most, I had a sad disappointment, but for the rest I can say that I enjoyed everything I’ve read, I had a couple of very pleasant surprises and, as I mentioned before, I’ve also been able to get myself out of my comfort zone, which I hope to continue doing because it has led me to enjoy other types of genres, and expand my literary tastes a little more. I wanted to focus more on my ARCs because in July I want to be more relaxed about, and I think I did a great job so I’m pleased with that. 👏🏻
I’m dying to tell you more about my readings of the month, so let’s START!❄️

❤️ Smut-A-Thon Reads 🔥
I don’t want to talk about these books all over again, because I’ve talked about them A LOT in my Smutathon Wrap Up and I’ve also written some Short Reviews in case you’re interested in knowing more about my thoughts on this books. In short, I enjoyed all of them, Vicious was INCREDIBLE, there are many dark things in that book but it’s deliciously addictive, so I recommend it a lot. The Unhoneymooners is a lot of fun but also touches on important issues such as family and sisterhood, I liked it a lot, especially the second half, is great. And last but not the least, Treasure is a very good read about a F/F romance, very sexy, fun and daring, I recommend it if you want to have a great time reading some steamy romance.
Treasure by Rebekah Weatherspoon || 3/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Vicious (Sinners of Saint, #1) by L.J. Shen || 4.5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 💫
The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren || 3.5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 💫
🌔 A Couple of Surprises & A Disappointment ✨
I loved this book SO MUCH, a part of me knew that I would enjoy it more than the first book since that one felt a lot like a preparation for this one, but I didn’t expect to love it so much which is great. It’s an absolutely amazing fantasy story, it’s very well thought out, it has unexpected plot twists all the time and things just get better and better. It’s a very solid sequel, it has grown a lot in all aspects of the plot, the first book is good but I wasn’t so sure about it, and this really is incredible, so I would say it’s worth continuing with the trilogy. The world building is wonderful, we have many new landscapes to appreciate and a long-awaited continent appears that I was dying to get to know. The characters grow a lot, which I adored and they’re faced with many of their fears. The magic system is super original and there are a couple of fantastic animals that you have to read because they’re amazing. Is a trilogy that I’m coming to love and I can’t wait to read the next book
Reign of Mist (The Oremere Chronicles #2) by Helen Scheuerer || 4.5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 || FULL REVIEW
Another book that was a very pleasant surprise, the author was so kind to send me her book to review and I thought it sounded very intriguing so I accept, and I couldn’t be happier. I’ve spent such a great time reading this book, is very quick and easy to read and is of those fantasies/paranormal mixed with a bit of contemporary/mystery and problems of daily life that I really LOVE. It felt a lot like a TV series and when I say that, in general, it’s a good thing, because it means that I could visualize everything very clearly in my head and that’s great for me. It’s set in England, and it is a very unpredictable book with characters that feel very real. I haven’t written the review yet, but soon I’ll be doing it. Basically, I love it and I highly recommend, it really worth it
Shadow Soul (Narun, #1) by M.J. Bavis || 4/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I want to start by saying that I’m pleased that there are more people sharing their opinions about this book because it makes me feel less alone. When I read and review this book I felt that not many people had read it, so I felt a bit alone with my thoughts, but I’m happy not be the only one to which this book has disappointed and bothered.
I think the author has a lot of talent to write but I couldn’t enjoy that 100% due to how inappropriate this plot feels to me, it touches on issues such as the relationships between a minor and an older man, as well as minors experiencing situations of abuse and drug use, which is a BIG NO for me. Today after thinking a lot about this book I feel that the Trigger Warnings are really necessary because in this case there’s not a single signal in the blurb that leads you to think that the book talked about that type of topics or that it will have such scenes of high sensitive content so I think if you’re interested in reading the book you should know that.
Beyond this, I appreciate the Mexican-American representation and the magic concept is pretty good.
Even so, I can’t recommend it and that disappoints me
All of Us with Wings by Michelle Ruiz Keil || 2.5/5 ⭐️⭐️💫 || FULL REVIEW
Hopefully, July brings plenty of great reads. I love the sunshine but I also love the colder weather, big jumpers, scarves and being toasty under a blanket with a book.

I saw The Unhoneymooners in a bookstore today, and I almost bought it. I’m glad to know that you enjoyed it! Are the steamy scenes minimal? I hope they’re not that profound.

Oh no, not at all, the sex or steamy scenes are really light, nothing is too explicit 😊

Yey! I’ll add it to my TBR then. New Adult doesn’t have to so steamy. xD

Sounds like you have had a great month! I was pretty excited to read All of Us With Wings, but after you talked about it, I’m not really sure. Also from the blurb I didn’t assume that it was about things like that, and I’m glad you told me so. I’m aware that these types of problems happen in real life which is totally not okay, but I’m not sure if I’m comfortable reading about situations like these because I think I’m a bit too young and overall just not comfortable period. Anyway thank you so much for letting me now, and great post hopefully you have an even better July up ahead!!

Somehow I’m glad to have read it, so I can talk about it and maybe avoid that many people read something that will make them feel uncomfortable, you know?. I think it should be pointed somewhere, though, since it’s a sensitive subject
Thank you SO much, honey!, I hope you have a beautiful July ❤️

Thank you! I honestly don’t know how to feel about it, in a way I feel happy to be able to prevent you from reading something very uncomfortable and out of place, and on the other hand, it’s a shame, because I really thought I would love it, but hey, sometimes it happens
I hope you have a FANTASTIC July ❤️

What sort of place do you like (York is good if you like history). Or do you have anywhere in mind for when you find your way to England?
I’m sure that’s not a prob. We’d be happy to have you 🙂
