🌿Hi guys, I hope you’re having a BEAUTIFUL day, I love you and you’re an amazing person, each one of you. 💞 Today I bring you the second part of these posts where I tell you about the books that I’m dying to re-read || HERE is the first part in case you want to check it out||. I love seeing you participating and commenting on my previous post, so I’m excited to come with this second part of my definitive list, and I hope you enjoy it and tell me everything you think 😊
You know I always love to go back to those worlds that have made me so happy once and see my favorite characters all over again, I feel that there’s something very magical in re-reading books so I strongly support doing it. My new books hate me for this but what can I do?, I’m just a simple human being. 😅
I’ve read several of my favorite books already this year, but even so, there are some more that I would love to re-read at some time and this is that definitive list!. I hope you enjoy it and as always, let me know in the comments everything you think about re-reading! & Let’s start! 🌿
🌿| The Mortal Instruments Series by Cassandra Clare | Well, actually even though I put only the first book and name the main series, I would like to re-read ALL the books in The Shadowhunter world. These books mean so much to me, they have a very special place in my heart, I adore the characters especially Magnus and my babies from The Infernal Devices, Tessa, Will & Jem. Actually, many of my favorite characters belong to this world so for me it would be an incredible pleasure to meet them again and relive their adventures and to be part, all over again, of their growth.
I would also like to reread all these books because I’ve never read the new series, The Dark Artifices, and I would love to continue reading them, but there are many things that I don’t remember of the first books, so I’ll first reread them. If someone can tell me the right way I should read them, it would be INCREDIBLE. There are too many books now and I’m a bit lost
🌿| Percy Jackson and the Olympians Series by Rick Riordan | In fact, I haven’t finished the main series yet so I guess it’s half a re-reading and half reading them for the first time. I think I read the first 3 books, so I still have to read the rest and I’m dying to go on and then continue reading all the author’s books, which are a million, so I’m sure I’ll have a lot to have fun with. I love his writing style, it’s fun, it has a lot of adventure and they’re easy to read, as well, so I hope to do it soon and finally finish this main series at least.
Mythology is something that I’m always willing to read because I know what I’ll enjoy it, and I haven’t read anything mythological for a while, so I’m already wanting to do it
🌿| The Raven Cycle Series by Maggie Stiefvater | I love this series so much, there’s something so magical and whimsical in it that it’s just wonderful and you can’t stop reading. Unlike many people, I really LOVE the first book, because I’ve heard it’s like, the least favorite, but for me it’s amazing I really liked it, although I must admit that the third one is absolutely my favorite of all, so many things happen in there is crazy, above all the romance grows a lot and I’m all for that.
I want to read it again mainly because I feel I’ve forgotten a lot about the main plot, I think what really stays with me over time has been the characters, but there are details that I would like to remember, you know? so I know it will be a lot of fun re-reading it once I do it
🌿| Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rowling | I know many of you going to be quite surprised with what I’m going to say, but I’ve never re-read Harry Potter, I know, SHAME ON ME lol. I love these books, of course, but I think this is because I’ve read them recently so I have not had the opportunity to read them again, although they’re obviously in this list because nothing would be better than sit down with all these books and make a marathon, it would be great. For me, this series is made to be read on Christmas, although in my case I should read them now, with cold weather, because here’s summer at Christmas, so yeah, lol. It’s Harry Potter so I feel like I should read it again and maybe do a special post on my experience
🌿| Caraval by Stephanie Garber | I read this book in 2017 when it came out and I was amazed, I really remember having enjoyed it, but for some reason, I never continue with the next book, and this is something natural, I think, so I know you’ll feel me. And finally I’ve been wanting to continue and end up with the whole trilogy but there’s a lot I don’t remember from the first book, so it would be great to re-read it, not only because of that but also because this story is magnificent and magical so I know I’ll enjoy it all over again
I really want to re-read Harry Potter … I just need to get all the books again! A bunch of mine were destroyed or “borrowed yet never returned” lol!
I loved The Mortal Instruments once upon a time, when it was just the first three books. But I remember trying to read the fourth and couldn’t get into it. I don’t know why … maybe one day I’ll pick them all up again?
Great post!

Oh, no!, “borrowed yet never returned” is terrible!!, I FEEL YOU, though 😅
I’m sorry that you couldn’t continue with The Mortal Instruments series, it can be a bit heavy at times, so I understand, but I hope you can try it at some point because it’s an incredible story, I’m a fan so I can’t stop fangirling over those books 😍
Thanks, love! I hope you have an incredible weekend ❤️

It is … hence why I’m VERY hesitant to lend out books now ha-ha!
I think the issue is I read The Mortal Instruments when it was a trilogy. So getting back into it years later felt off. Maybe one day!
Have a lovely weekend! ❤

I think there’s something super special about re-reading! You get to revisit that connection you made with the characters and make new ones all over again! I’ve re-read HP about a 100 times but I still want to do it again😂 I’ve been trying to put it off so I can read me material to review but I just don’t know how much long I can hold off!😂

Oh, you can re-read it and write reviews about them over and over again, I support that! 😅 💪🏻

I know I’m going to reread Harry Potter soon, and I’m so excited! I also want to reread some of the books I read several years ago, like the Legend series, so I can see if I would like them now that I’ve grown up a bit.
I used to reread books all the time (I’ve read Prisoner of Azkaban and The Lightning Thief 5 times, haha!), but now I feel like it might be wasting a bit of my time. It’s still fun, but now my TBR is much larger!

YAAAY!!, I hope you enjoy your HP re-reading 💕
And I get what you’re saying, I think it’s very interesting to see how we feel s today about books that we read and loved a while ago, right?
Our TBRs growing all the time makes it hard to give us that pleasure of re-reading, so I feel you 😅
I hope you have an amazing weekend! ❤️

Hi Sofi,
“The Mortal Instruments” 😍!!!
I also love the series and I have re-read them many times, but not completely. In fact I only re-read my favourite parts, which I previously tabbed with a sticky-note. Aaahh I love these series so much! I’ m really happy you like it too.
My favourite character is Jace, but Magnus is also really funny, I agree. Unfortunately I didn’t like “TID” that much. I hate Tessa and Jem, the only charachter I like is Will. And I also hated the finale of the series, it was really bad, it got me so angry.
I also read the first two books of “TDA” and I’m in the middle of the third one. But I’m warning you, the only good volume is “Lady Midnight”, after that things start to get a little annoying.
You should definitely read “Percy Jackson”, I liked it a lot. But now I’m a bit tired of Rick Riordan’s writing stile, it isn’t funny anymore, I don’t know why.
Don’t worry, I also haven’t re-read “Harry Potter”, you’re not the only one. I read the series back when i was in elementary school, loved it and never picked it up again. But I would love to.

I’m so happy to know that you also love the Shadowhunters world! The Mortal Instruments is incredible, but I confess that I have a special weakness for TID so I’m sorry you didn’t like it that much, though, but I agree, Will is incredible 😊
I really need to continue reading Rick Riordan’s books!!!, I think will be fun, but we’ll see
YAY!, we both have to re-read Harry Potter at some point, I would love to know your thoughts on that re-reading once you do it and I hope you have an incredible weekend!❤️

Although I’ve reread most of the Harry Potter series several times, there are two books that I don’t think I’ve ever reread: numbers 4 and 7. The fourth book is my least favorite of the series, and the last one is just so emotional that I feel like I have to be in the right mindset to read it again. Hope you enjoy them even more the second time around whenever you reread them! 🙂

Thanks, honey!!! I understand what you say about being in the right mindset because emotional books can be too much, the same thing happens to me with several of my favorites
I hope you have a great weekend! ❤️

What a great list! I always think about re-reading the Mortal Instruments. I’ve re-read the original 6 once, but every time a new one comes out I want to just start from the beginning.
I don’t think I’ve read Harry Potter more than once… I know I’ve read the first 3 a few times, but once I get to the fourth I stop 😛

Thanks, sweetie! 😊
I get that, I have the same feeling every time a new book comes out in the Shadowhunters world!, but I’ll have to start re-reading in them at some point 😄
I hope you have an amazing weekend! ❤️

I’ve also been meaning to re-read TMI, but I’m worried I won’t enjoy it anymore. And I’d rather just keep my fond memories of it.
LikeLiked by 1 person
Oh, that’s a totally valid concern, in fact, I hadn’t stopped to think about. I think the nostalgia I feel over the characters will make me enjoy it anyway, but I feel that it could happen that I no longer feel the same, I agree 😊

My reading tastes have definitely evolved in the 5 years since I first spread them. And while I really enjoy her new books, she’s definitely evolved as an author and I know that TMI is by far her weakest series, particularly the first books.

I did a reread of PJO and HP, and I’m happy to say I still enjoyed them- in fact, I think I love PJO more! I really want to reread Divergent and TID. I know I will still love Divergent, but I hope my feelings have changed for Insurgent and Allegiant. As for TID, I just want to meet Will, Tessa, and Jem again! ❤

If you actually accomplish rereading all of Cassie Clare’s books I’ll applaud you haha that’s quite a feat! I’ve thought about it a few times because I own all of them but it just seems too daunting!

I think if that happens, we’ll have a party! LOL. Sometimes I feel that there are too many books, and I actually love the characters, but someday it has to stop, right? 😅
