💫 Hi guys, I hope you’re having a beautiful day! Today I bring you another part of our series, the book meme “Down the TBR Hole”which I’m doing hoping that it will help me to reduce the number of books that are in my current TBR

My plan is to upload this meme every week where. (I’m glad that now you want to see more books in this post so I decided to do 10 books per post instead of 5, not only will it be MUCH more entertaining and fun, because we’ll have more books to talk about, but I’ll also be able to clean my TBR faster which is great!) so, I’ll show you 10 books of which I’ll choose which one I’ll keep or get rid of. I want to make this weekly meme as interactive as possible, so I’ll be consulting a lot with you, to decide what to do. There will be those books which I’ll be interested in (Keep), those which I’ll not be interested in anymore (GO) and those which I’ll not be sure about, and with those, I’ll need your help. So please, let me know all your thoughts in the comments and I’ll be able to take my decision and let you know in the next post. 💫

I’m very happy because I’ve seen that you have participated a lot in the previous post, leaving me your comments, so I’m super excited to continue with this weekly meme.
If you’re doing the same meme right now, let me know so I can check your post out and leave my thoughts there 💖

 💫 Go to your Goodreads to-read shelf.

 💫 Order on ascending date added.

 💫 Take the first 5 (or 10 (or even more!) if youre feeling adventurous) books. Of course, if you do this weekly, you start where you left off the last time.

 💫 Read the synopses of the books

 💫 Decide: keep it or should it go?

☕️ #1 – The Name of the Star (Shades of London #1) by Maureen Johnson

|| Goodreads ||

I added this book first because I knew that the plot was set in London and it’s my place in the world, so I added it, then I saw that it was about the return of Jack the Ripper and I think that sounds incredible, on the other hand, I have other books in myTBR that touch both points, so I could go for them instead of this one.
I know it’s a series of four books I think, but I checked and I saw that the third book came out in 2015 and I don’t know what happened then, so I’m not sure about these books, I’ll let it go

 💫 GO 💫

☕️ #2 – Unwind (Unwind Dystology #1) by Neal Shusterman

|| Goodreads ||

WOW the blurb of this book sounds very unique and a bit creepy too
This is a world where the children rights are inviolable until they reach the age of thirteen, then parents can decide if they want to “unwound” their child, which means that they donate all the organs to another body so actually will continue “living” in someone else body. The story follows three boys who will fight against this horrible law to survive.
Really sounds very incredible, I had forgotten about this book, to be honest, and now I’m excited to read it!.
I think all the author’s books sound very unique, like things that I’ve never read about before and that’s great, I would like to read some of his works soon and this is very high in the list

 💫 KEEP 💫

☕️ #3 – Kids of Appetite by David Arnold

|| Goodreads ||

I used to be very interested in this book, especially because I love mystery and complex characters, so that’s more or less what I look for in it. The blurb is kind of vague, it’s about two guys and the book is told through a police interview.
I’ve read several reviews of people I trust in, they say is nothing special, and the characters have pretentious voices and are unbelievable. Besides that, I also read that the plot is very interesting. So I have to decide what to do with it, and being honest, I prefer to let it go this time, it has been in my TBR for a long time and I haven’t had the intention of reading it even once, so I think it’s fair to remove it. I don’t think there’s anything that caught my attention enough to want to read it

 💫 GO 💫

☕️ #4 – The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller

|| Goodreads ||

This book sounds so INCREDIBLE, it makes you want to read it right now. The book is a rendering of the Trojan War but with a very epic gay romance, it sounds like everything I love. I love this kind of stories that play a bit with a real war but brings something new to it, I think it’s wonderful and everything that has a minimum of mythology, you just have to give it to me and I’ll read it
I’ve read extraordinary reviews of this book so I’m very excited that many of you love it, so I just have to pick it up and go for it

 💫 KEEP 💫

☕️ #5 – Nevernight (The Nevernight Chronicle #1) by Jay Kristoff

|| Goodreads ||

I love stories about revenge and this book sounds great!. I’ve heard SO MANY things about it, very amazing things, so I can’t wait to read it. The story follows Mia, she’s the daughter of an executed traitor and she’ll join a group of the most lethal assassins in the Republic in order to seek revenge against those who killed her father and destroyed her family.
I’m super excited but intimidated by this book as well, I know that many of you love it to death, it has really intense fans so, on the one hand, it scares me that maybe it’s not for me, but on the other hand, it sounds INCREDIBLE and I have a small feeling that I liked it, it’s a big book and maybe it’s heavy, but I’m ready to read it at some point very soon and finally join to the party. Also, I’ve never read anything about the author, so I think it’s a good place to start

 💫 KEEP 💫

☕️ #6 – Holding Up the Universe by Jennifer Niven

|| Goodreads ||

This book has remained very popular although it has been released for years now and everyone seems to adore it, so I’m very interested in reading it. It’s about two teenagers who are struggling with their own lives and one day they find each other and that has a very positive impact on them.
I really hope it’s not that kind of book where the girl heals because she knows a boy, because I don0’t want to read something like that lol, but anyway, I have that little voice that tells me I should read it. So I’ll give it a chance, I feel that if I like it, it will be that kind of book that will make me cry my feelings but we’ll see

 💫 KEEP 💫

☕️ #7 – The Bone Season (The Bone Season #1) by Samantha Shannon

|| Goodreads ||

I’m always thinking that I have to finally read this book, but I’m not sure because it’s a very long series and that scares me a bit, but even so, I think it sounds SO GOOD.
The story is futuristic and takes place in the year 2059, and follows a girl named Paige, she’s a dreamwalker, and her work is scout for information by breaking into people’s minds. Until one day she is kidnapped and taken to a mysterious city governed by a race from another world.
This sounds really unique to me and I’ve never even once thought of eliminating it from my TBR, because even though I haven’t read it yet I’ll do it at some point, when I’m ready to jump in a very long series, I know there are 3 books published, so I don’t feel to rush into it yet

 💫 KEEP 💫

☕️ #8 – Before She Ignites (Fallen Isles #1) by Jodi Meadows

|| Goodreads ||

I ended up eliminating all the author’s book of my TBR, and I feel so bad because it wasn’t my intention but honestly, I wasn’t interested in her other works, that’s why I want to give this book a chance. I must confess that I added this book at the time for that wonderful cover, and I still think it’s beautiful, but after reading the blurb and finding out that there are dragons involved in the story, I now have to read it!!
I don’t have my expectations high but I think it’s a good thing I’ll go into it without waiting a lot from it and see how I feel, I’m also excited to try the writing style and see if it works for me. It’s fantasy, so it’s my thing

 💫 KEEP 💫

☕️ #9 – Nemesis (Project Nemesis #1) by Brendan Reichs

|| Goodreads ||

I added this book because I remember hearing some Booktubers talking about it, and it sounded mysterious, so here I am. But nowadays reading the blurb I don’t think this is something that I’m interested in. It sounds very good, don’t get me wrong, I just don’t feel that emotion when I see it and that’s what I’m looking for right now and when it comes to cleaning my TBR, you know? So I’ll let this one go and I’m sorry if you have enjoyed it, seriously

 💫 GO 💫

☕️ #10 – Ink and Bone (The Great Library #1) by Rachel Caine

|| Goodreads ||

This book is all about books, crimes, and a large library, I mean, what can be better, right?. I’m very curious to know how the story develops, I’m also excited to read something from the author because I’ve heard very good things about it. Let me know if you’ve read it !!, I’m interested to know what you think

    • I’m so glad it’s a favorite for you!!, I can’t wait, I also die to read Circe so we’ll see, although they sound like everything I love, really. 😊
      I know, the same thing happened to me!, well, if you get to read it I would love to know your opinion, and if you like it, maybe I’ll put it back in my TBR 💞

  1. Ahhh Ink & Bone, I’ve been meaning to read this book series for ages, it sounds so good! So glad you’re keeping it on your TBR, I look forward to hearing your thoughts about it 😀

    • Sounds really good, right?, I hope it ends up being that way, I can’t wait to read it. The last book will be released this year, so the positive thing is that if I start with the first book and I like it, I’ll be able to make a marathon of the whole series and I love that! 😄

  2. I just added Nevernight to my TBR last week, I’m very excited because I’ve heard so many good things about it. I’ve had the Bone Season on my shelf for two years now… I was just thinking about reading it this morning, so maybe the time is coming!
    Ink and Bone!! I’ve read the first three books recently and I’ve been loving the world. I love Rachel Caine’s writing; her Morganville Vampires series was so good, and the Grear Library is just as good! I hope you decide to start them! 😀

    • Now I’m super excited to know what you think about The Bone Season, I’ll be waiting for your review!! 💕. And it makes me so happy that you’re enjoying the books of The Grear Library, the last book comes out this year, so that’s super exciting, one more reason to pick it up the first book since the series will be complete! 😄

      • Ohhh now I feel like I need to really bump it up haha!
        Yes! I’ve read the first three, and I’m hoping I’ll be done the fourth by the end of this month so I’ll be ready when the fifth comes out! It’s a really good series 🙂 I hope you decide to pick it up soon! 🙂

  3. I haven’t read any of these, although I’m reading The Priory of the Orange Tree right now (love it, it’s just really long so it’s taking me a while) and Circe on audiobook (it’s okay… the writing is good but I don’t find the plot that compelling). I hope you eventually get to your “keep” books! Those TBRs can get out of control sometimes!

    • Oh, super happy that you’re enjoying The Priory of the Orange Tree!!, I hope it ends up being amazing, I’m dying to read it, and I hope you end up liking Circe, it’s another that I’m dying to read 💕
      I know,right? our TBRs are too much sometimes 😅

  4. I’ve read Before She Ignites, and to be honest, it was a massive let down. The heroine has compulsive counting disorder and anxiety, which for me is a big plus in books because I think we need more heroines with mental illness.
    It’s used as a plot point, though, and her anxiety is forgotten through most of the book. It’s like the author forgot she’d given her character disorders and randomly threw them in where she saw fit.
    The heroine is also imprisoned for 90% of the book, so not many dragons yet :/

    • Oh no, that’s so disappointing! To be honest, I keep it above all for the fact that it’s a fantasy about dragons and because I’ve deleted all the author’s books from my TBR, so I wanted to give it one chance, but maybe I’ll try a chapter and if I don’t like it, say goodbye to it. It’s a shame, but I don’t like that she uses mental illnesses that way. Thank you SO much for letting me know! 💕

  5. You’ve got so many on here I’ve read, Sofi – Unwind was amazing – think I read the followup, but I can’t remember. I’d love to find time to read the whole series. I read Nevernight, but just couldn’t get into it and didn’t finish the series. Nemesis was an original kind of read and enjoyed the story, but haven’t gotten to the second book. I’m caught up on Caine’s Great Library series, and excited about the last book. Happy Reading!

  6. Nothing on my radar here but nonetheless I find these posts interesting even as I swear it’s not the time for me to do one. 28 books removed thus far? Wow, nice. Sounds like it’s going well for you. 😀 You have now introduced me to The Bone Season & Ink and Bone which I will add to my list and give you a shout out should I mention them. Thank you!
