💫 Hi guys, I hope you’re having a beautiful day! Today I bring you another part of our series, the book meme “Down the TBR Hole”which I’m doing hoping that it will help me to reduce the number of books that are in my current TBR

My plan is to upload this meme every week where. (I’m glad that now you want to see more books in this post so I decided to do 10 books per post instead of 5, not only will it be MUCH more entertaining and fun, because we’ll have more books to talk about, but I’ll also be able to clean my TBR faster which is great!) so, I’ll show you 10 books of which I’ll choose which one I’ll keep or get rid of. I want to make this weekly meme as interactive as possible, so I’ll be consulting a lot with you, to decide what to do. There will be those books which I’ll be interested in (Keep), those which I’ll not be interested in anymore (GO) and those which I’ll not be sure about, and with those, I’ll need your help. So please, let me know all your thoughts in the comments and I’ll be able to take my decision and let you know in the next post. 💫

I’m very happy because I’ve seen that you have participated a lot in the previous post, leaving me your comments, so I’m super excited to continue with this weekly meme.
If you’re doing the same meme right now, let me know so I can check your post out and leave my thoughts there 💖

 Incarnate (Newsoul #1) by Jodi Meadows

|| Goodreads ||

After reading several reviews and thinking about the pros and cons of this book, I came to the conclusion that I’ve had it for a while on my radar and all for that beautiful cover. Until I read the blurb last week I didn’t even remember what it was about, to be honest, so I don’t think it’s fair to keep it, especially since I think it will be in my TBR forever. It’s time to say goodbye to this beautiful book

 💫 GO 💫

☕️ #1 – The Naturals (The Naturals #1) by Jennifer Lynn Barnes

|| Goodreads ||

This book sounds really incredible, it’s about a girl named Cassie and she has a talent that allows her to read people, so she’s recruited by the FBI along with other guys with equally amazing abilities to solve some infamous cases.
As you already know, I LOVE books about guys with superpowers or special abilities, I think that’s the best thing, so I’m very excited about this book. I’ve been about to read it several times already, but for some reason or another I ended up to put it down, but no doubt, I want to read it, I feel it’s something that I’ll enjoy. I have that feeling that it will be an easy book to read since it’s not long, so maybe I’ll pick it up soon, it looks great and I think all the covers of this series are very aesthetic 👍🏻

 💫 KEEP 💫

☕️ #2 – The School for Good and Evil (The School for Good and Evil #1) by Soman Chainani

|| Goodreads ||

This is a Middle-Grade book about two best friends, Sophie and Agatha, who are sent to the School for Good and for Evil, the place where all the children who disappear go to. Sophie has wished all her life to be sent there to graduate from the school of Good, and become a fairy tale princess, while Agatha with her black dresses and her pet cat, seems the perfect choice for school for Evil. But what will happen, when what actually happens, is the opposite thing?
I think this book sounds like a lot of fun, I don’t usually read a lot of Middle-Grade but I’d like to do it and this looks like a great choice. I love the blurb, it sounds super interesting and I want to know what will happen to the fate of these two girls, has really known how to keep me interested.
It’s a pretty huge book but I hope it’s not hard to read and I hope I can spend a great time with it because magical schools cannot fail, right? 😊

 💫 KEEP 💫

☕️ #3 – The Sun Is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon

|| Goodreads ||

“The Universe: Every moment in our lives has brought us to this single moment A million futures lie before us Which one will come true?”
Oh, love that part of the blurb so I had to put it in here lol. This seems to be a love story that happens at the wrong time, I think
I’ve heard so many amazing things about this book, is crazy! I’ve read the author before, I love “Everything, Everything”, it’s a wonderful book and I especially love the ending of that book, so I’m interested in reading another love story written by her.
I’ve heard many people say that they prefer it over Everything Everything so that says a lot to me. I think it will hit me hard in the emotions, I’m already feeling it, so I should look for the appropriate moment to read it, but it will surely be happening because it sounds good and I’ve already had a good experience with the author before. The book also talks about deportation since the family one of the main characters is about to be deported to Jamaica, and I’m very interested to know how that will be touched 👏🏻

☕️ #4 – The Black Prism (Lightbringer #1) by Brent Weeks

|| Goodreads ||

I used to be very interested in reading this book, especially because of the magic system, which I’ve heard is fantastic and unique, but time has passed and I have begun to hear many things that make me question my decision to have added it to my TBR in the first place. I’ve heard that it’s a very sexist and that it describes the female characters in an inappropriate and grotesque way.
I know it’s a super loved series and surely the characters will grow and mature, but I’ve lost interest, honestly. It’s a pretty long book as well, and that makes me feel insecure.
I’ve heard that it’s written for younger people so I’ll skip it, there’s nothing in it that calls my attention right now, and I have so many long series that I would like to read more than this one, it will be unfair to keep it in my TBR 👋🏻

 💫 GO 💫

☕️ #5 – Stalking Jack the Ripper (Stalking Jack the Ripper #1) by Kerri Maniscalco

|| Goodreads ||

This book sounds so creepy and delicious at the same time, I think that in a way it’s everything that I love, it feels mysterious and captivating so I can’t wait to read it, I honestly haven’t talked to almost anyone who doesn’t love these books, so I’m excited to jump into the first one and continue with the rest of them
I’m not sure if they’re all separate stories or it’s a series. but well, this book, in particular, is about Audrey Rose Wadsworth, and she’s a young woman with a life full of privileges but hidden from her father she lives a secret life. Audrey escapes to her uncle’s laboratory to study everything about forensic medicine. Soon Audrey got into the investigation of a serial murderer and her search for answers brings her close to her own sheltered world.
I think it’s a fantastic idea to give life to stories based on evil characters in history, as in this case Jack the Ripper, it will be a very interesting journey that I’ll probably read very soon 😄

 💫 KEEP 💫

☕️ #6 – Touch of Power (Healer #1) by Maria V. Snyder

|| Goodreads ||

I really don’t know why I added this book to my TBR, I’m not sure if it belongs to the same world as the Poison Study books, I really don’t know. Even if it’s the case, I’m not very interested in reading it.
I enjoy a lot of the first two books of the Poison Study series, not so much the third one and I don’t think I continue with the rest of the series, over time I lost interest and the last book has been a little disappointing for me, so if this book is somehow connected I’m not interested
If you know more about what the book is about or if you have read it, please, let me know! 👋🏻

 💫 GO 💫

☕️ #7 – The Sword of Summer (Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard #1) by Rick Riordan

|| Goodreads ||

OMG, I need to catch up with ALL of Percy Jackson’s books before jumping into this one, but when that happens I’m really looking forward to reading this one, you know that mythology is mine thing, so I’m very excited!!!. NEEDS TO HAPPEN 💞

 💫 KEEP 💫

☕️ #8 – Ninth House (Alex Stern #1) by Leigh Bardugo

|| Goodreads ||

I added this book to my TBR when still didn’t have a cover nor a title, but it’s a book by Leigh Bardugo and I’m just a simple human so I MUST read it.
I’m SO excited by this book, OMG, can October get here faster?!!!
The author herself has said that the book is made to disturb so I’m ready for it, I’m excited to explore another type of concept by her, and although I confess that the blurb sounds really weird, I’m excited to find out what it’s about
That cover is wonderful, guys! 2019 is the year of snakes 😍

 💫 KEEP 💫

☕️ #9 – Jackaby (Jackaby #1) by William Ritter

|| Goodreads ||

I just can’t believe how I haven’t read this book yet, it’s one that is always on my list of priorities, not only because it sounds incredible but because it’s described in this way: “Doctor Who meets Sherlock in William Ritter’s debut, which features a detective of the paranormal as seen through the eyes of his adventurous and intelligent assistant in a tale brimming with cheeky humor and a dose of the macabre “, I mean if that doesn’t catch you, I don’t know what will!!. The fact that someone says it’s something like Doctor Who is enough for me.
I’ve been tempted to buy the whole series and make a marathon of the whole thing, so maybe you’ll see me reading it soon, I CAN’T WAIT, I feel I’ll love it ❤️

 💫 KEEP 💫

☕️ #10 – The Jewel (The Lone City #1) by Amy Ewing

|| Goodreads ||

This book reminds me of “The Selection” but after reading the blurb I guess it’s very different, maybe it reminds me because of that beautiful cover. The book follows Violet, she was purchased by a Duke as a servant and now they only call her #197, soon Violet discovers that the perfect facade of The Jewel isn’t more than that, a facade and that inside there’s a lot of violence and cruelty.
I’m not interested in this book anymore, and it’s a relief for me to finally say it because sometimes I feel that this kind of beautiful covers tie me to books that I’m not interested in, so I’m happy to let go a couple of them in the post today, I think I’m growing up, you guys 😅

  1. glad you’re keeping The Sun Is Also A Star! I loved it so much, and didn’t really like Everything, Everything ^^; same with Magnus Chase though, I’ve read the 5 Percy Jackson books twice, and started Heroes of Olympus and Trials of Apollo, but I still haven’t continued 😦 however, Riordan is basically autobuy for me, I’ll most probably red whatever he writes hahaha

  2. I was lent the Brenton Weeks book and it just sat on my bookshelf for months. I never ended up reading it, just returned it to the friend and was all “thanks, but it’s not really my scene”! Hopefully he wasn’t offended!! 😂
