💫 Hi guys, I hope you’re having a beautiful day! Today I bring you another part of our series, the book meme “Down the TBR Hole”, which I’m doing hoping that it will help me to reduce the number of books that are in my current TBR
My plan is to upload this meme every week where. (I’m glad that now you want to see more books in this post so I decided to do 10 books per post instead of 5, not only will it be MUCH more entertaining and fun, because we’ll have more books to talk about, but I’ll also be able to clean my TBR faster which is great!) so, I’ll show you 10 books of which I’ll choose which one I’ll keep or get rid of. I want to make this weekly meme as interactive as possible, so I’ll be consulting a lot with you, to decide what to do. There will be those books which I’ll be interested in (Keep), those which I’ll not be interested in anymore (GO) and those which I’ll not be sure about, and with those, I’ll need your help. So please, let me know all your thoughts in the comments and I’ll be able to take my decision and let you know in the next post. 💫
I’m very happy because I’ve seen that you have participated a lot in the previous post, leaving me your comments, so I’m super excited to continue with this weekly meme.
If you’re doing the same meme right now, let me know so I can check your post out and leave my thoughts there 💖

Rules
💫 Go to your Goodreads to-read shelf.
💫 Order on ascending date added.
💫 Take the first 5 (or 10 (or even more!) if you’re feeling adventurous) books. Of course, if you do this weekly, you start where you left off the last time.
💫 Read the synopses of the books
💫 Decide: keep it or should it go?
☕️ #1 – Call Down the Hawk (Dreamer Trilogy #1) by Maggie Stiefvater
|| Goodreads ||
I didn’t remember I had this book added to my TBR since it barely announced it but yes, there it is and I’m dying to read it. I’ve never been Ronan’s biggest fan, being honest, but I love The Raven Cycle books anyway, and the ideas with which Maggie Stiefvater comes up are always very original and interesting to read.
I really hope that the book shows a little more of that relationship we all love and I would like to see a little of the other guys too, at least one mention would make me happy.
I love that we explore more of the dream world I think it will be a lot of fun and I’m excited to know new characters as well 👍🏻
P.S: what do you think about that cover, guys ?, I personally hate it but I trust that its content is better
💫 KEEP 💫
☕️ #2 – The Thousandth Floor (The Thousandth Floor #1) by Katharine McGee
|| Goodreads ||
I’ve heard that this book is compared to Gossip Girl but in the future, and I love that promise, I think it sounds like a lot of fun and drama.
I think the blurb sounds great, the book takes place in Manhattan in 2118 and follows 5 teenagers who live in the highest tower and I think that the higher you live, the greater your lifestyle is or more famous you are.
So I think it can be a lot of fun, I’m excited to explore this future and the characters, I guess we’ll have multiple POVs which I think would be great. 😊
💫 KEEP 💫
☕️ #3 – The Perfectionists (The Perfectionists #1) by Sara Shepard
|| Goodreads ||
This book follows a group of girls who only have one thing in common and it’s their hatred towards this guy, Nolan Hotchkiss, who has done things in the past that have hurt each one of them. So one day they come up with the best plan to kill him but all like part of a joke until Nolan appears actually dead in the same ways they had planned so things start to get very bad and they try to find out who the killer was
You know, what? I LOVE Pretty Little Liars, I mean, the TV show, it’s one of my favorites ever and because of this, once I tried to read the main series and I couldn’t even with the first book, I think the writing style isn’t for me and honestly I found it very unbelievable and predictable, I didn’t like the characters either, so I think that with this I’ll take the wise decision and I’ll not read it, I think it is not for me and it doesn’t catch my attention as before. If I’m ever curious I’ll be able to watch the TV series, but I’m not sure about that either, we’ll see in the future. 👋🏻
💫 GO 💫
☕️ #4 – The Becoming of Noah Shaw (The Shaw Confessions #1) by Michelle Hodkin
|| Goodreads ||
It’s weird what I feel about this book, but let’s start from the beginning, I love the main trilogy The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer, it’s one of my favorite trilogies EVER, and that’s why I had to add this book to my TBR, since it’s a companion series that follows the character of Noah, whom I adore.
On the one hand, it makes sense for me to read this book because I feel like I would love it, but on the other hand, I think the right thing is let it go, but this will not be something definitive.
My idea is to re-read the main trilogy and see how I feel about it today, and just after that, decide whether I want to read this one or not, so, for now, I’ll say goodbye to this beauty, but if someday I re-read the main trilogy, which I think I will, maybe I’ll add this one again if I feel like continuing to read about the characters in general, you know?
Maybe it sounds weird but I feel better taking it out of my TBR for now, I think it’s the right decision 👋🏻
💫 GO 💫
☕️ #5 – The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
|| Goodreads ||
OMG, the blurb sounds FANTASTIC. I’ve heard a lot about this book, especially that it’s the undisputed favorite of many of you which make me feel super excited to read it.
The book is about this circus called Le Cirque des Rêves that appears magically in different places and no one knows how it got there, it just there one day, and it only opens at night. Inside there are two magicians ready to fight a duel, they’ve trained all their lives for this purpose but they didn’t expect to fall in love
What I hope most of this book is that it’s atmospheric and a little dark, I’ve heard that it’s gloomy at times, but it’s also unique and magical so having everything I love I don’t see why I would not read it, right? 💞
💫 KEEP 💫
☕️ #6 – Gone (Gone #1) by Michael Grant
|| Goodreads ||
This book is about a dystopian world where one day all the adults disappear and only the young people remain and then they must figure out how to survive when hunger attacks and surrounded by mutant creatures, while they begin to develop new supernatural abilities.
The blurb sounds good, but I’ve had this book for literally YEARS in my TBR and every time I see it I think I’m not sure about it, it’s also a VERY long series and I don’t think I’m going to read them all, I’m not so interested in as I was when I added it, so this one should go and I think it’s the right thing to do * fingers crossed *
💫 GO 💫
☕️ #7 – The Knife of Never Letting Go (Chaos Walking #1) by Patrick Ness
|| Goodreads ||
I read A Monster Calls by the author and I loved it with all my heart and soul, so I’m very excited to try another of his works, besides I’ve heard incredible things about this book.
The book, I think is about this boy who can read minds and just a month before his birthday and finally become a man, the town where he lives will reveal secrets that would force him to run
What most catches me about this book is the fact that it’s writing by Patrick Ness and I really like his writing style, and well, the plot can be very interesting so I hope I like it as much as everyone 👏🏻
💫 KEEP 💫
☕️ #8 – Strange the Dreamer (Strange the Dreamer #1) by Laini Taylor
|| Goodreads ||
The only thing I can think about every time I see this book is, Why I haven’t read it yet!, It sounds SO AMAZING and I LOVE Laini so there are no excuses, I hope to finally read it this year.
It looks and sounds beautiful, so I know I’ll love it and I don’t have much else to say about it 😍
💫 KEEP 💫
☕️ #9 – Forget Tomorrow (Forget Tomorrow #1) by Pintip Dunn
|| Goodreads ||
This book sounds so unique and incredible!!, I’m surprised it doesn’t have so much hype but I’m 100% interested after reading that blurb
The book follows Callie, who, on her seventeen birthday, is excited to receive her vision of the future, which will tell her what she’s destined to be. But while she hopes to be a scientist or a doctor her future has something different planned, and show her that she’ll be a criminal because she’ll murder her little sister. So she’s arrested in a placed called Limbo for crimes she hasn’t yet committed, but she must escape to change the order of things and thus avoid that terrible future
It sounds incredible, I’m really super excited to read it.
I’ve been looking at some reviews and it seems to be the case when you either love it or hate it, there are no in between, so I hope to be on the side of those who love it because it seems it has great potential 😄
💫 KEEP 💫
☕️ #10 – Incarnate (Newsoul #1) by Jodi Meadows
|| Goodreads ||
This book is about reincarnations so when you’re born you bring back memories of previous lives with you but our main character has been born with a new soul, I think this means that she doesn’t remember having had past experience. I can be wrong but that’s what I understood. There are dragons in this book which I LOVE!, and that’s almost all I can say about it
I have many problems deciding what to do with it, I think the plot sounds good but I’m really not sure, and I also think that the cover is really wonderful, one of the most beautiful I’ve seen. On the other hand, it has terrible reviews, and that makes me feel insecure about giving it a chance or not
I’ll leave it in your hands this time, please let me know what you think about it if you’ve read it, do you think it’s worth it to keep it in my TBR? or is it time to say goodbye? 🤔
💫 MAYBE?💫

I have to agree for the Call down the hawk cover: I really don’t like it. At all, which is disappointing because I loved Ronan when I read The Raven Cycle, and his character deserves better than this cover. I also remember reading Gone a few years ago, and I didn’t really enjoy it so in my opinion, it’s good this one is in the “go” pile. 🙂

I know, right? I think they could have made a cover 100 times better with a beautiful raven or something like that, but well, we hope the content is better! 🤞🏻
Oh, somehow I’m glad you didn’t find Gone very special, I feel a little better now for letting it go 😊

I agree with you about the cover of Call Down the Hawk, it’s not the most pleasing, but I’ll be reading it.
I think it’s for the best you’ve gotten rid of the Gone series. It’s long and gets tiring after a while, as I read the whole thing. 😛

I have a very good feeling about Call Down the Hawk despite the horrible cover so I hope we end up enjoying it once we read it
Oh it’s great that you think I made the best decision about Gone 😊

Yeah, I’m glad you decided to remove it from your TBR!

I am a big Ronan fan and I still completely forgot that trilogy was coming! Thanks for the reminder 🙂 I do like the title even though the covers iffy.

You’re welcome! Even though I’m not the biggest fan of Ronan, I’m dying to see him with Adam. I love that relationship. 😍

So glad you kept the Knife of Never Letting Go, it’s an absolutely fantastic series. I will say the writing takes a minute to get used to as it is written as if the main character is writing his story and he spells things as they sound to him. Brilliant though 🙂

Glad you’re keeping Call Down the Hawk, Sofi. I’m such a fan of the Raven Cycle, but unlike you, I’m a Ronan fan. Did you read Opal? It’s a short story featuring Ronan and Adam set in that world.

I think I haven’t read Opal, I should do it, though!!, I love the relationship between those two 😍

The Night Circus has been on my TBR for FOREVER!
And I totally agree with you – the Call Down the Hawk cover doesn’t knock my socks off like Blue Lily, Lily Blue or The Raven King did, but, also like you said, the content on the inside is what matters.
Wonderful post! ❤️

I’m so glad that you liked the post, Lauren and I’m glad you agree with me, we hope that the inside is INCREDIBLE, because it’s cover was disappointing.
And also The Night Circus has been in my TBR since always, I really need to read it 😄
