🌿Hi guys, I hope you’re having a BEAUTIFUL day, I love you and you’re an amazing person, each one of you. 💞 I’ve been so sick these days, I have the flu 🤧, so I’ve been feeling horrible and I haven’t been reading so much because I’ve many problems to concentrate, anyway, what I’ve been able to read I’m enjoyed, so that’s good, I hope to get back on track soon and finish a couple of books more.
Today I bring you a new post where I’ll show you all the books that I’m dying to read again. You know I always love to go back to those worlds that have made me so happy once and see my favorite characters all over again, I feel that there’s something very magical in re-reading books so I strongly support doing it. My new books hate me for this but what can I do?, I’m just a simple human being. 😅
I’ve read several of my favorite books already this year, but even so, there are some more that I would love to re-read at some time and this is that definitive list!. I hope you enjoy it and as always, let me know in the comments everything you think about re-readings! & Let’s start! 🌿
I’m going to make this post in 2 parts because after checking I realized that there are a lot of books, I don’t have self-control 😂, so I’ll divide them in two 👏🏻
🌿| The Wicked Deep by Shea Ernshaw | Well, of course, it’s one of my favorites, this list will be full of some of my favorite books. This book is absolutely magical and atmospheric so I would be very happy to re-read it, especially since takes a very special place in my heart and I want to feel all those emotions again. It has a kind of impossible love and a melancholy aura, but at the same time is beautiful and really captivating. Plus: Witches, I mean, YES!
🌿 | I’ll Give You The Sun by Jandy Nelson | I still can’t believe that after so many years of reading this book I haven’t re-read it yet, it’s one of my most beloved books ever and it just needs to happen. It’s a story about two very different siblings trying to find their destiny, discovering themselves, and re-finding that brotherhood bond, so strong and unbreakable, despite the years. A wonderful plot that also plays many important themes and is full of diversity, love, and acceptance
🌿| Radio Silence by Alice Oseman |This book is simply a masterpiece, if you’re a contemporary fan you can’t miss this one, like I’ll Give You The Sun plays multiple important themes but above all talks about self-discovering and learning who we really are and taking risks, and also focuses a lot on friendship, which I must say, is one of the most beautiful and special one, I’ve read about. READ this book if you haven’t done it yet. because it’s PERFECTION. And I really need to re-read it soon
🌿 | Daughter of Smoke and Bone Trilogy by Laini Taylor | I said that I would like to read the whole trilogy because that’s the way it is, I’d like maybe to start with the first and read one each month or maybe devoured the whole thing in a read-a-thon, but it MUST HAPPEN. This trilogy is one of my favorites EVER. I honestly think that Laini Taylor is one of the best writers out there at the moment, she transmits something so magical and honest with her writing, is really beautiful, and that’s what this book conveys. DoSaB is about impossible love, between two races at war, that defies death and time. I recommend it a lot, it’s more than wonderful, and I’m always left speechless when I want to talk about it.
🌿| Middlegame by Seanan McGuire | I know you’re thinking, “Sofi, you just read this book, what are you talking about?” and I KNOW, but it’s SO good that, no matter what it takes me, I would read it all over again without thinking.
This book is so complex that I think that reading it at least 2 times could be a good thing, I think I could notice details that I’ve overlooked before and also knowing all the twist I could understand the behavior of some characters a little better and see everything from another perspective. This book is about alchemy and follows unique twins created through it for a greater purpose.
I recommend this book AGAIN, if you like the writing style of the author, you can’t miss this one, there’s very little left for its release date!
I’m fairly certain ALL of these are on my TBR list ha-ha!

I do like a re-read. DOSAB is an awesome choice and one I will definitely re-read in future. I’d like to re-read Ready Player Ones as well because there are so many references I’m sure I missed some first time round!

I don’t tend to reread just because I don’t tend to have time! Some of the books you want to re-read are on my TBR though, like Radio Silence.

I really get that!. 😊 And, OMG, I feel that you will love Radio Silence once you read it, it’s one of the best contemporaries I’ve read, so I hope you enjoy it! 💞

I have a few books that I reread every now and then. Summer Sisters by Judy Blume and Till the Stars Fall by Kathleen Gilles Seidel are two of them. I don’t normally reread, but I will if it’s something that’s an all-time favorite. I like that Goodreads has a thing where you can mark if you’re rereading so it counts toward your yearly goal. That makes me happy!
I hope you’re on the mend soon! My daughter and I had a TERRIBLE stomach virus last week. I threw up for two days, she threw up for FOUR (so. much. laundry). Yuck! Take care of yourself! ❤

Definitely checking those two you mentioned you usually re-read! 😊
Yeah, totally, I feel that I’m more eager to re-read when it’s a favorite or a book that means a lot to me and I love that Goodreads has the option to mark how many times you’ve read a book, is a great idea, now I would love that we can finally have half-stars! It would be SO helpful 👏🏻
Oh, I’m so sorry that both of you have been sick, threw up it’s the worst, I know how it feels, and I can imagine all that laundry! 😩
Thank you SO much, Steph💕 , I had never used so many tissues in my life 😅

I love this post and I love rereading! I reread both I’ll Give You the Sun and the Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy last year and it was a wonderful reading experience. I loved them all even more the second time ❤️ I really want to reread Radio Silence too and The Serpent King, even though I read that one THIS WEEK. Some books you just know right away that you’ll always want to come back to them!
I hope you’ll feel better soon! 😊

Ahhhh omg, I just read the DOSAB trilogy last year and I already low key want to reread it. Laini Taylor is legit a goddess of words omg 😍
Also ahhhh I want to read Radio Silence so bad and this post is making me want to read it more omg.
I desperately want to reread the lunar chronicles this year, and also the trylle series by Amanda hocking cuz I loved those books when I was younger and I wanna know if they hold up. I also wanna reread Nevernight cuz Darkdawn comes out this year and I’m 100% using that as an excuse, but really I just wanna reread Nevernight cuz its a MASTERPIECE.
Honestly, though, I love rereads. I probably reread too many books, whoops 🙃 my tbr is constantly screaming at me, and I’m just sitting over here like “sorry, can’t hear you, too busy reading The Infernal Devices for the third time 😊😊😊”

Oh, honey, makes me so happy that you want to read Radio Silence,😭 I think you’ll love it, it’s a unique book, I think one of the best contemporaries I’ve read
OMG, I definitely need to read Nevernight soon, but for the first time, I’ve heard only the most incredible things!!! 😄
Same!!!, if it makes you feel better I don’t think 100 times are too many times to re-read The Infernal Devices 😍

Yesss. I enjoyed them so much that I immediately had to read Strange the Dreamer and I honestly love that series just as much, if not then more, than DoSaB omg. It’s weird to think that Laini Taylor is now one of my all time favourite authors, and yet I hadn’t read a single book of hers a year ago!
Ahhh I’ve heard so much praise for Radio Silence, I’m actually dying to get to it 😍
Omg yes, you totally have to get to Nevernight! It’s probably the funniest book I’ve ever read, and I’m completely in love with Mia! It’s also just super bloody and violent and kick-arse, which are all things I LOVE in fantasy.
Y E S. I could read The Infernal Devices a million times and it still wouldn’t be enough!! 💕

Oooh those books sound good, I don’t think I’ve heard of those ones before today.
I also love re-reading books, I haven’t done it as much as you though, I mainly re-read books when I don’t have a new book to read which is very seldom. But if I were to re-read a book right in this moment, I would have to choose The Lake House by Kate Morton. I love her books, and I still haven’t finished all of hers yet, I own them all but there’s still 3 I have to read. Haha.
Anyways, I really enjoyed your post! Have a great day!

I used to re-read books ALL THE TIME when I was in high school. There were certain books that I’d read over and over again, almost learning them by heart.
But once I started blogging, buying tons of books & receiving ARCs, I stopped re-reading. I always have this thought in my head that I could be reading other “new” books, instead of wasting time on the books I’ve already read.
I think I need to get over this idea somehow because I really want to re-read «Eleanor Oliphant is completely fine»!
LikeLiked by 1 person
Even when I LOVE re-reading, I completely get what you say, I also used to re-read a lot more when I didn’t have the blog or the pressure that comes with ARCs, but I think if you can find a moment where you can read what you want, then It’s a beautiful and unique feeling to go back to that story you loved so much 😍
I’d say you have to re-read it if you feel like it, cause WHY NOT!, I’ve never read Eleanor Oliphant is completely fine, but I’ve heard so many wonderful things about that book. I’ll add it to my TBR just for you 💕

Hi Sofi,
I’m sorry you’re sick. I hope you’ll get better soon. 💜
The only one I’ve read is “Daughter of Smoke and Bone” and I loved it. Whenever you’re going to re-read the whole trilogy please tell me. It would encourage me to pick up the second and the third book. Maybe we could read them together, or at least in the same period. So I’ll keep motivated 😂
I really want to read the other books that you mentioned. In particular “Radio Silence”!
I enjoy re-reading books. It allows me to understand them more in depth and to catch some details that I had’nt noticed the first time. But I prefer re-reading only some parts, not the entire book. Also because I annotate my books, so when I re-read them I only have to go to the marked pages to get to my favourite scenes.
I conclude by asking you a suggestion. I am in a terrible mood for what reading is concerned. I pick up lots of books, start them, get bored and put them down. I need to read something really involving to get out of this situation. Do you have any books to suggest?

Thank you SO much, Marta! 💕
I would love that!, surely I’ll be posting once I decide to read them and so we can all read them together, I’ve seen that many people want to do it, so that’s really exciting! and it would be super fun 😊
Radio Silence is absolutely brilliant, I feel you’ll love it once you read it!
I’m 100% in agreement with you, I think that once you re-read you can appreciate more some details and that’s really incredible
Oh, I’m sorry that you’re going through that situation, I think Radio Silence could actually be a very good option since it’s quick and easy to read but the plot is wonderfully diverse. I don’t know exactly which are your favorite genres or your favorite books, it would be good to know that before recommending you some 💕

Yesss, I would be so happy to read that trilogy all together!!!
Thank you for your reccomendation.
My favourite genre is fantasy and some of my favourite books are: “The Mortal Instruments”, “Daughter of Smoke and Bone”, “The Hate U Give”, “Passenger”, “Chronicles of The Emerged World” and “The Scorpio Races”. These are just a few.
Right now I’m seraching for something really engaging. A book thet you can’t put down because you have to know how it continues. If it’s a fantasy, that would be great!
And sorry if I haven’t told them to you before, you’re right that you can’t give me reccomendations if you don’t know wich books I read. 🙈

Oh, don’t worry, it’s okay, many of the ones you like also I like, so it’s great!
I can easily recommend two of my favorite trilogies, both have incredible world buildings and are highly addictive. The trilogy Blood of Eden by Julie Kagawa (the one to get me out of my reading slump) is really amazing, and I think it deserves more love, it’s about vampires (not the Twilight type, but the evil and murderous type) is developed in a dystopic world and follows Allison Sekemoto in her search for revenge. Then there’s also the trilogy The Young Elites by Marie Lu, another that only gets better and better with each book, and has the best plot twists, besides the main character is kind of a villain with incredible superpowers, and is one of my favorites. If you like X-Men but in a fantasy world, this is perfect for you ❤️
