💫 Hi guys, I hope you’re having a beautiful day! Today I bring you another part of our series, the book meme “Down the TBR Hole”which I’m doing hoping that it will help me to reduce the number of books that are in my current TBR.
My plan is to upload this meme every week where. (I’m glad that now you want to see more books in this post so I decided to do 10 books per post instead of 5, not only will it be MUCH more entertaining and fun, because we’ll have more books to talk about, but I’ll also be able to clean my TBR faster which is great!) so, I’ll show you 10 books of which I’ll choose which one I’ll keep or get rid of. I want to make this weekly meme as interactive as possible, so I’ll be consulting a lot with you, to decide what to do. There will be those books which I’ll be interested in (Keep), those which I’ll not be interested in anymore (GO) and those which I’ll not be sure about, and with those, I’ll need your help. So please, let me know all your thoughts in the comments and I’ll be able to take my decision and let you know in the next post. 💫

I’m very happy because I’ve seen that you have participated a lot in the previous post, leaving me your comments, so I’m super excited to continue with this weekly meme.
If you’re doing the same meme right now, let me know so I can check your post out and leave my thoughts there 💖

Starcrossed (Starcrossed #1) by Josephine Angelini

|| Goodreads ||

Well, after reading some comments and thinking about it, I decided to give this book a chance. It may be a bit cliche, so I’ll keep my expectations low, but I still feel a lot of curiosity about everything that has to do with mythology, so I feel that I could enjoy that aspect of it

 💫 KEEP 💫

☕️ #1 – The Name of the Wind (The Kingkiller Chronicle #1) by Patrick Rothfuss

Everyone loves this book, the synopsis sounds really good and I’m also doing a challenge where I’ll be reading the books with the highest and lowest rating on my TBR (my TBR here), and this book is included, so I’ll not only be keeping it on my TBR, but also I’ll be reading it in the coming months.
It sounds like a story with a lot of adventure and I like that we follow this character as it grows. There is a part of the synopsis that says that we’ll follow a great hero who’s looking for the meaning of his universe and I think that sounds very poetic, so I’m interested in finding out 👏🏻

 💫 KEEP 💫

☕️ #2 – Salt to the Sea by Ruta Sepetys

|| Goodreads ||

Another book that I know is very appreciated by most of you, and I can imagine why. It sounds like a devastating story about struggle and survival, it probably breaks my heart.
I think it’s one of those books where you just have to go for it because I just can’t imagine the impact it will have on me, you know?. I know that it’s a winner of several awards and I’m soon to read another book by the author so I would like to have another one on my TBR in case I enjoy it. Besides, I’ve been wanting to read more Historical Fiction so I think it’s another positive point for the book 👍🏻

 💫 KEEP 💫

☕️ #3 – The Final Empire (Mistborn #1) by Brandon Sanderson

|| Goodreads ||

Magic of Metals? I LOVE THAT IDEA!. I’ve actually heard the best things about Brandon Sanderson and here I still haven’t read any of his work, and even so, I have them ALL on my TBR lol. I think I’ve lost count of all the times this book has been recommended to me, I love how it sounds, I think it’s a very epic fantasy saga, that everyone seems to enjoy. Also some time ago I’ve been wanting to be part of the Brandon Sanderson’s fandom lol, so I think it’s time for me to finally read this book, I hope it happens soon, I’ve heard INCREDIBLE things about the characters and the magic system 😊

 💫 KEEP 💫

☕️ #4 – The Orphan Queen (The Orphan Queen #1) by Jodi Meadows

|| Goodreads ||

I think this book sounds pretty good, I like the fact that’s about a girl with many phases, strong and determined, that’s really cool, but to be honest I’ve had this book for a long time and I don’t feel the same excitement when I see it now, that I use to feel before, you know?. I have other books by the author that I’m certainly much more interested in, so I prefer to focus on them. I haven’t read negative reviews, honestly, most of them are very good, but this time I get carried away by my intuition and I’m sure that I’ll not read it 👋🏻

 💫 GO 💫

☕️ #5 – The Girl of Fire and Thorns (Fire and Thorns #1) by Rae Carson

|| Goodreads ||

I just read so many incredible reviews about this book, is crazy. The blurb sounds like an average fantasy story, where there’s a princess and she’s the “chosen one” and although she has no powers or there’s nothing really incredible about her person, she’ll be put to test and she’ll face many enemies.
I think I’m not 100% sure what to do, I know that the main character grows a lot towards the end and I love when that happens, I think it’s more realistic, but on the other hand, I’m afraid of running into a fantasy that doesn’t contribute anything to me, you know?. I’ll leave it in your hands this time, I want to know everything you think about this book and if it’s worth giving it a try 🤔

 💫 MAYBE?💫

☕️ #6 – All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven

|| Goodreads ||

Ok, then, here’s the thing, I can’t deny that I’m VERY interested in this book, especially because of the blurb and the hype, it really sounds devastating and it could be a deep story with an unexpected ending, and I usually love that. On the other hand, it’s compared to Eleanor and Park and maybe this will surprise you, but I HATE that book 😅. And I’m a little scared that I’ll not enjoy this and then I’ll have the most unpopular opinion ever, you know?!.
I think I’ll keep it because I have too much curiosity to let it go and also I’m interested to know how this book touched the subject of death since one of the characters seems to be fascinated by it, that could be quite problematic as well, but I would like to know from which side this theme will be touched

 💫 KEEP 💫

☕️ #7 – A Darker Shade of Magic (Shades of Magic #1) by V.E. Schwab

|| Goodreads ||

Super excited by this book, it sounds like everything I love! I’ll be reading this next month with my boyfriend and I can’t wait.
I don’t have much more to say about it because I’m really excited and I have great expectations, that blurb sounds INCREDIBLE 💕

 💫 KEEP 💫

☕️ #8 – Born Wicked (The Cahill Witch Chronicles #1) by Jessica Spotswood

|| Goodreads ||

You know what? I only read witches and sisters and that’s all I need to know! When I added this book I thought it sounded like the best thing in the world because I LOVE stories about witches and more if they’re sisters, and even today reading the blurb again I still think it sounds too good to miss it.
Maybe it’s not the most beloved witch book but it sounds like something I’ll enjoy so I trust it will be fantastic. Plus: I LOVE THE COVERS 😍

 💫 KEEP 💫

☕️ #9 – Reign of Shadows (Reign of Shadows #1) by Sophie Jordan

|| Goodreads ||

I don’t know what it is exactly, but I’m really looking forward to reading this book, I am dying for it, I have the other books by the author, the Firelight trilogy, which is about dragons and also sounds really captivating. So, obviously I’m super interested in the book, the promise is very catchy and it sounds entertaining as well, I think it sounds like a dark fairytale and I’m excited to try it ☺️

 💫 KEEP 💫

☕️ #10 – The Conspiracy of Us (The Conspiracy of Us #1) by Maggie Hall

|| Goodreads ||

I just read its blurb and I think that the subject of conspiracy theories sound great, I really like that idea, but at the same time, I don’t feel there’s anything special or something that really invites me to read it, you know?
I think I could find another book with conspiracies as the main theme and enjoy it more, for some reason I think it will not be something I’ll enjoy. I’ve read reviews that say it’s pretty childish or maybe because it’s an old YA, but right now and to be honest with myself, I don’t want to read it, it’s not something I want to do right now so, goodbye book 👋🏻

  1. I’ve heard so many good things about Reign of Shadows but haven’t added it to my tbr yet. I need to knock some more books out before I start to add again, Im getting out of hand!

  2. I’ve read All the Bright Places. I gave it three stars, but my son gave it five (I admit, I had to read through some of the reviews to remember anything about the book!).

  3. This is such a fun meme! Do you mind if I borrow it for my own blog? I might not manage every week, but maybe every couple of weeks or even once a month.

    I’m pretty sure I said last year would be the year I committed to reading Mistborn and then I never did… maybe this year?!

  5. So glad you kept Salt to the Sea, it’s amazing!

    And I also didn’t like Eleanor and Park and I DNFed All the Bright Places. But, I didn’t really find them all that similar. I mainly had issues with the main characters in All the Bright Places, which is what made me put it down

    • I’ve heard so many amazing things about Salt to the Sea 😊
      OMG I think you’re the first person with whom I share thoughts about Eleanor & Park, I feel less alone right now 💖
      And surely I’ll go with low expectations with All the Bright Places, and we’ll see what happens
