💞 Hi, guys, I hope you’re having a beautiful day, full of incredible readings. Today I want to talk a little bit with you and recommend some books that are, for me, worth the hype. These books that I’ll mention below, are books that I’ve read and personally, I’ve LOVED, I recommend each one of them, are fantastic.
I know that sometimes the hype can stop you or make you feel insecure when it comes to deciding whether to read a book or not, I know about that, in fact whenever I read a book that has a lot of hype I’m thinking that I’ll hate it and I’ll be the only one with an unpopular opinion, because that’s always what happens to me 😅, but with these books I could really share the passion for. For this reason, I felt that I had to make a top with my favorite readings with a lot of hype because if I like them, I think you would like them, as well. 💞

Before starting I would like to mention a couple of things that I want to share with you.

💞 First: I’m eternally grateful for ALL of your messages and your “likes” and with the beautiful people who have joined recently to the family that this wonderful community is, and followed my blog, it means the world to me, really. I also want to thank you for always being there, you’re SO INCREDIBLE.

💞 Second: I know I haven’t been uploading as many reviews as I usually do, and maybe this isn’t something that worries you 😂, but if you follow me for a while you know that I LOVE writing reviews but right now I’m in the middle of my re-reading of the Grisha trilogy, so I thought I could do a full post about my experience re-reading these wonderful books, so if you’re interested please let me know

💞 Third, but not least: I’ll be reading for the first time The Darker Shade of Magic trilogy with my boyfriend in the following months, we plan to read a book per month together, and we’ll do something fun here in the blog to tell you how we both feel about each book. I’m SUPER excited because EVERYONE has recommended me a lot to read them and finally it will be happening so I can’t wait and I wanted to share it with you

I’m going to choose only the 5 books with the most hype I’ve read and loved so, without further ado, let’s START!

👏🏻 Every Heart a Doorway (Wayward Children #1) by Seanan McGuire 👏🏻

25526296Eleanor West’s Home for Wayward Children
No Solicitations
No Visitors
No Quests

Children have always disappeared under the right conditions; slipping through the shadows under a bed or at the back of a wardrobe, tumbling down rabbit holes and into old wells, and emerging somewhere… else.

But magical lands have little need for used-up miracle children.

Nancy tumbled once, but now she’s back. The things she’s experienced… they change a person. The children under Miss West’s care understand all too well. And each of them is seeking a way back to their own fantasy world.

But Nancy’s arrival marks a change at the Home. There’s a darkness just around each corner, and when tragedy strikes, it’s up to Nancy and her new-found schoolmates to get to the heart of the matter.

No matter the cost.

💞 These books are really INCREDIBLE, to be honest, I enjoy the first book very much, but it’s not my favorite, the second and the fourth book are by far my favorites, but still, I put this one because it’s the beginning of everything and I think it’s so worth it. If you haven’t yet given this series an opportunity, I recommend that you do it, is entirely fantasy, it has diverse and charming characters and many important topics are discussed. In addition, each book is a unique and different journey 💞

👏🏻 The Cruel Prince (The Folk of the Air #1) by Holly Black 👏🏻

26032825Of course I want to be like them. They’re beautiful as blades forged in some divine fire. They will live forever.

And Cardan is even more beautiful than the rest. I hate him more than all the others. I hate him so much that sometimes when I look at him, I can hardly breathe.

Jude was seven when her parents were murdered and she and her two sisters were stolen away to live in the treacherous High Court of Faerie. Ten years later, Jude wants nothing more than to belong there, despite her mortality. But many of the fey despise humans. Especially Prince Cardan, the youngest and wickedest son of the High King.

To win a place at the Court, she must defy him–and face the consequences.

As Jude becomes more deeply embroiled in palace intrigues and deceptions, she discovers her own capacity for trickery and bloodshed. But as betrayal threatens to drown the Courts of Faerie in violence, Jude will need to risk her life in a dangerous alliance to save her sisters, and Faerie itself.

💞 This book is pure FIRE, I love how it took me by surprise. This is one of those that I didn’t think I would love as much as the everyone since the HYPE is real, but I did it, I enjoyed it a lot and I kept thinking about it even today, because that ending is EVERYTHING, and the second book is GREAT as well. This story is full of betrayal and evil fairies and fights and an EXTRAORDINARY female main character that shows again and again what female power really means. Also if you like plot twists and complex characters, you’ll love this one 💞

👏🏻 Sadie by Courtney Summers 👏🏻

34810320A missing girl on a journey of revenge. A Serial―like podcast following the clues she’s left behind. And an ending you won’t be able to stop talking about.

Sadie hasn’t had an easy life. Growing up on her own, she’s been raising her sister Mattie in an isolated small town, trying her best to provide a normal life and keep their heads above water.

But when Mattie is found dead, Sadie’s entire world crumbles. After a somewhat botched police investigation, Sadie is determined to bring her sister’s killer to justice and hits the road following a few meager clues to find him.

When West McCray―a radio personality working on a segment about small, forgotten towns in America―overhears Sadie’s story at a local gas station, he becomes obsessed with finding the missing girl. He starts his own podcast as he tracks Sadie’s journey, trying to figure out what happened, hoping to find her before it’s too late.

Courtney Summers has written the breakout book of her career. Sadie is propulsive and harrowing and will keep you riveted until the last page.

💞 This book is so ORIGINAL, it’s one of those books that I think nobody should miss. The author has created a mystery thriller, captivating, cruelly real and heartbreaking. It touches very sensitive topics such as rape and murder but I think if you feel like trying, you should do it, leave you thinking after reading it and I’ve heard that the audiobook is one of the best!. 💞

👏🏻 The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid 👏🏻

32620332Aging and reclusive Hollywood movie icon Evelyn Hugo is finally ready to tell the truth about her glamorous and scandalous life. But when she chooses unknown magazine reporter Monique Grant for the job, no one is more astounded than Monique herself. Why her? Why now?

Monique is not exactly on top of the world. Her husband has left her, and her professional life is going nowhere. Regardless of why Evelyn has selected her to write her biography, Monique is determined to use this opportunity to jumpstart her career.

Summoned to Evelyn’s luxurious apartment, Monique listens in fascination as the actress tells her story. From making her way to Los Angeles in the 1950s to her decision to leave show business in the ’80s, and, of course, the seven husbands along the way, Evelyn unspools a tale of ruthless ambition, unexpected friendship, and a great forbidden love. Monique begins to feel a very real connection to the legendary star, but as Evelyn’s story near its conclusion, it becomes clear that her life intersects with Monique’s own in tragic and irreversible ways.

Written with Reid’s signature talent for creating “complex, likable characters” (Real Simple), this is a mesmerizing journey through the splendor of old Hollywood into the harsh realities of the present day as two women struggle with what it means—and what it costs—to face the truth.

💞 If I had to describe this book with just one word I would say PASSION. All this fascinating and captivating story feels like a real biography about a character like no other, our fantastic Evelyn Hugo, and you’ll see that you can’t stop reading, it’s really INCREDIBLE. It’s a journey of discovery, learning, love, and betrayal, with characters that feel 100% real 💞

👏🏻 The Wicked Deep by Shea Ernshaw 👏🏻

Where, two centuries ago, three sisters were sentenced to death for witchery. Stones were tied to their ankles and they were drowned in the deep waters surrounding the town.

Like many locals, seventeen-year-old Penny Talbot has accepted the fate of the town. But this year, on the eve of the sisters’ return, a boy named Bo Carter arrives; unaware of the danger he has just stumbled into.

Mistrust and lies spread quickly through the salty, rain-soaked streets. The townspeople turn against one another. Penny and Bo suspect each other of hiding secrets. And death comes swiftly to those who cannot resist the call of the sisters.

But only Penny sees what others cannot. And she will be forced to choose: save Bo, or save herself.

i didn’t expect to kove Sadie and Evelyn Hugo as much as I did, since I read because of the hype, but I’m really happy I picked them up!

  2. I have read three of these books; Every Heart a Doorway, The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo and The Cruel Prince, and I have to agree with you. They were worth the hype in my eyes. The only one I ended up giving up on is The Wicked Deep, I really liked the first chapter and it was really well written, but I was never in the mood to read it if that makes sense.
