๐ŸŒŸย Hi guys, I hope you’re having an INCREDIBLE day. Today, I’ll tell you a little about the reading challenges I’ll be participating in this year, and I’ll also talk a little about my current reading!.
I’ve never participated in any reading challenge before, and least on all those that are annual, so I’m excited to try it, I think it will be interesting to experience something new, and I also think it will help to expand my readings this year.
So, without further ado, let’s go for it!๐ŸŒŸย

POPSUGAR Reading Challenge

you can check the link HERE, that will take you directly to the official page of this reading challenge and there you can know a little more about it. Even so, I think everyone know about this one already, it’s very well known and that’s why I’ve heard a lot about and I’m really happy to participate, I think it will be fun.

This reading challenge is really great, I haven’t heard much about it like with the previous one, but I’m very excited to try to fulfill as many challenges as possible.
You can check HERE for more information about it and great tips to complete the challenges!

I would love to participate in many more, in fact, I’ve been seeing that you guys have plans to participate in a lot of reading challenge that look fantastic, but for this 2019, I feel that two are great for me, especially because it’s the first time I’ll be trying it, so I don’t want to put a lot of pressure on myself. WISH ME LUCK ๐Ÿ’•

We Told Six Lies by Victoria Scott

This book really captured my attention because it sounds so interesting and mysterious, I don’t know, I just thought it could be my kind of book. This is an ARC, so I’m super grateful for the opportunity to read it before its publication date, which will be on February 5th.
In the book, we’re following this guy whose girlfriend has disappeared, and now the police are questioning him, since they believe he could be involved in some way. It’s told with jumps in time, between past and present, and in this way the plot is taking shape, and I like that.
I feel that the plot itself is very interesting and many things are happening at the point where I’m currently reading, so that makes it very addictive and easy to read. But, on the other hand, I’m not entirely sure about the characters, to be honest I don’t really like them, especially the main character, which has had a couple of unfortunate moments. But well, so far I’m still intrigued. I’m beginning to think that the book may touch mental illness and I ‘m interested in knowing how it will be executed. You’ll know my full review very soon.

๐ŸŒธย Now, it’s your turn to tell me, are you participating in a Reading Challenge this year? If so, in which one?

And tell me also, What are you currently reading?,are you enjoying it or not?, I would like to know ๐ŸŒธย

  1. For reading challenges I’m doing Goodreads, Library Love, 52 books in 52 Weeks, Modern Mrs. Darcy and then a series challenge but the blog that’s hosting the series challenge disappeared. Kathy from the blog Books and Munches does monthly challenges so I’m sure I’ll be doing some of those.

  2. The only reading challenge I am participating in is just to read more books by new authors whom I havenโ€™t read from.

Currently I am reading โ€œBefore We Were Yoursโ€ by Lisa Wingate. I absolutely love this book right now. I canโ€™t seem to put it down. I like how it tells the story from different points of view and switches from past to present.

  3. Both those challenges sound amazing! I wasn’t really planning on doing any this year, but I super like the look of these so I might be swayed.

I’m reading The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson, my first ever Sanderson book. It’s really good so far although the size is massive and it keeps making my hand hurt when I read it standing up on the train to work haha

  4. The only challenge I’m doing so far is the Goodreads one. These look super fun though, so maybe I’ll join one! Good luck with your challenges and happy reading ๐Ÿ’•

  6. I’m doing the Popsugar Challenge..I did it last year and had so much fun with it! I’m still trying to hunt down all the books to fit my prompts, but I think I only need to find 4 or 5 more. And I’ve already read two books and am reading two now, so I think I’m doing ok getting started! I’m also doing the Goodreads Challenge, but I do that one every year. The Reading Women Challenge looks really interesting too…not sure if I could do another one though! Good luck with all your challenges!!

  7. I just set a goal of 40 books this year. I’m currently reading The Silent Patient and I tore through half of it last night. It’s about an artist who is convicted of murdering her husband but she stops speaking entirely after his murder. A psychotherapist tries to get her to open up. It’s twisty and suspenseful and my favorite kind of book.

  8. Love the prompts for this year’s Popsugar Reading Challenge! I already have a bunch of books ready to read for that one, haha. ๐Ÿ˜€

I’m currently reading Godsgrave but it’s going.. slowly? I’m blaming the small font for this, to be honest. Usually it takes way less time to read an entire page and now I keep feeling as if I’m barely reading anything which.. makes me actually read less? Ugh.

    • The Popsugar Reading Challenge looks so fun, I should start planning some readings to fulfill it, as well! So far, I accomplished 3 of them already, but it was pure coincidence lol
Oh, I’m always running away from small fonts!, They scare me a lot lol, even so, I hope you enjoy it and that the book is good ๐Ÿ˜„

      • Well, coincidence works best! I’ve found myself spoiled for books sometimes because I was looking to fill in a certain prompt. It’s the worst, haha.
Now I just made a list with all the books I know fit certain prompts and I’ll just see how it ends up looking in.. half a year or something. ๐Ÿ˜€
I’m getting used to it, somewhat? Although it still is frustrating to have “only” read 20 pages in the time I usually take to read 40-50.. ๐Ÿ˜›

  9. Hi, Iโ€™ve not got round to committing to a reading challenge yet but itโ€™s definitely a great idea, especially if you want to expand your reading list. Iโ€™m currently reading Times Convert by Deborah Harkness! One of my fave authors & enjoying it very much โ˜บ๏ธ hope youโ€™re having a great weekend x

  10. Cool post.
I am not participating in any particular challenge. I have set a goal for myself.
By the end of the year I want to have read 65 books. Last year I read 59 and so far in 2019 I am working on my 18th.
I am currently reading a book about a Swiss woman who walks for three years from Mongolia to South Australia and I am also reading a thriller at the same time.

A day without reading is a wasted day for me.
