Hi guys!, I hope you have an incredible start to the week, today I bring you as the title says, my Contemporary-A-Thon Wrap Up, where I’ll tell you everything about how my first Read-A-Thon was and everything I’ve read this week.💕
I’m a little sad that it’s over but honestly I’m super happy to have participated, as you know I hadn’t picked a lot of books because I know I wasn’t going to be able to read them all and I honestly wanted it to be a fun experience and it really was! I think I’ve proven myself that I’m able to read much more than what I actually read per month and that makes me very happy. Probably what I’ve read doesn’t seem like a lot for many of you, cause I know that you all have read a lot in this Read-A-Thon, but for me it was fantastic and I’m very pleased about it. So without further ado, I’ll tell you how it was…
A little information about this Read-A-Thon:

Books I’ve Read
Radio Silence by Alice Oseman
🌟 5. Read a contemporary that has your initials somewhere on the cover ✓
🌟 6. Read a contemporary from a new to you author ✓
🌟 3. Read a diverse contemporary ✓
I didn’t expect to love a book so much during read-a-thon, let alone find a new favorite!, but guess what? IT HAPPENED!, and this is absolutely beautiful, I really love it.
This book is about personal discovery and we see the beginning of a wonderful friendship full of connection, support and love, it really has one of the best cast of characters that I’ve read about, they felt very real and unique, besides it presents a lot of diversity both of race and sexuality and it’s touched in a wonderful and honest way.
I’ll talk about this book forever, but you’ll see more in my full review, which will come up tomorrow and I can’t wait. Just loved it and it’s a new favorite
The Cheerleaders by Kara Thomas
🌟 7. Read a contemporary that is a 5 star prediction ✓
🌟 2. Read a dark /taboo/spooky contemporary ✓
Well, this was on my 5 stars predictions list, but sadly it didn’t reach that rating at the end, I enjoyed it enough though. I think that Kara Thomas is a great writer, she always has this amazing ability to create engaging plots and carry them out successfully and this book isn’t the exception. As a mystery book I think it fulfills its function, even though I had some problems with the ending, I was expecting much more and it was somewhat disappointing, also there are a lot characters in the plot which can be quite overwhelming, but leaving this aside I think it was very easy to read and I appreciate that. You’ll know much more about my thoughts about it in my review, which will also upload this week to the blog
Giant Days, Vol.1 by John Allison
🌟 4. Read a contemporary in a non-traditional format ✓
🌟 1. Read a contemporary with orange on the cover ✓
Honestly I was a little scared to read a graphic novel because I thought I wouldn’t like it, and I must say that I judged too fast because I really liked it! I enjoy it a lot, I think it’s adorable and very funny. In addition, it touches super important topics which I didn’t expect and obviously it’s always appreciated.
I’m excited to continue with the other volumes because the characters are great and you’ll know more about my thoughts in my monthly Wrap Up
I’ve Read: 3/4
Total Pages: 915
Challenge Complete?: 7/7 YES!
Even when I couldn’t read the 4 books I planed, I was able to complete all the challenges with these 3 book and that makes me very happy! I think that in summary I spent an incredible week and I really enjoyed the Contemporary-A-Thon.
Now I feel more confident to try another one soon💕
