Hi guys!, I hope you’re having the best day everĀ ā¤ļø. I’ve been so busy this week, it really has been crazy, I need someone to save me lol. My reading pace sucks!, I hope to recover a little in the coming week, but I guess we all have this kind of weeks where you can only take care of work and basic needs, I feel like a real life SimĀ š Ā
Even so, the time I’ve had free, I’ve used to check your publications and you’re all amazing, I love a lot of them seriously, I follow so many talented people that inspire me to read more and improve every day with my blog. I just love you guysĀ šøĀ
I’ve seen this post for a few months already going around in the bookish community so I’ve decided to try it, it looks fun, plus there are several books that I feel, I’ll LOVE!, and although this type of post may have a bad side and cause me to end up feeling disappointed with the book, I’ll take the risk, I think it can work and become something interesting and entertaining, I also believe that having this post done will be an incentive to finally read them and compare my thoughts later.
If you enjoy this, I can start doing it from time to time, but we’ll see how it goesĀ š¤©Ā
The Kiss of DeceptionĀ (The Remnant Chronicles #1)Ā byĀ Mary E. Pearson

Fed up and ready for a new life, Lia flees to a distant village on the morning of her wedding. She settles in among the common folk, intrigued when two mysterious and handsome strangers arriveāand unaware that one is the jilted prince and the other an assassin sent to kill her. A Darker Shade of Magic (Shades of Magic #1) by V.E. Schwab
Kell is one of the last Antariāmagicians with a rare, coveted ability to travel between parallel Londons; Red, Grey, White, and, once upon a time, Black.Ā
Kell was raised in ArnesāRed Londonāand officially serves the Maresh Empire as an ambassador, traveling between the frequent bloody regime changes in White London and the court of George III in the dullest of Londons, the one without any magic left to see.
Unofficially, Kell is a smuggler, servicing people willing to pay for even the smallest glimpses of a world they’ll never see. It’s a defiant hobby with dangerous consequences, which Kell is now seeing firsthand.
After an exchange goes awry, Kell escapes to Grey London and runs into Delilah Bard, a cut-purse with lofty aspirations. She first robs him, then saves him from a deadly enemy, and finally forces Kell to spirit her to another world for a proper adventure.
Now perilous magic is afoot, and treachery lurks at every turn. To save all of the worlds, they’ll first need to stay alive.
Strange the Dreamer (Strange the Dreamer #1) by Laini Taylor
The dream chooses the dreamer, not the other way around – and Lazlo Strange, war orphan and junior librarian, has always feared that his dream chose poorly. Since he was five years old he’s been obsessed with the mythic lost city of Weep, but it would take someone bolder than he to cross half the world in search of it. Then a stunning opportunity presents itself, in the person of a hero called the Godslayer and a band of legendary warriors, and he has to seize his chance to lose his dream forever.
What happened in Weep two hundred years ago to cut it off from the rest of the world? What exactly did the Godslayer slay that went by the name of god? And what is the mysterious problem he now seeks help in solving?
The answers await in Weep, but so do more mysteries – including the blue-skinned goddess who appears in Lazlo’s dreams. How did he dream her before he knew she existed? And if all the gods are dead, why does she seem so real?
In this sweeping and breathtaking new novel by National Book Award finalist Laini Taylor, author of the New York Times bestselling Daughter of Smoke & Bone trilogy, the shadow of the past is as real as the ghosts who haunt the citadel of murdered gods. Fall into a mythical world of dread and wonder, moths and nightmares, love and carnage.
The Cheerleaders by Kara Thomas
There are no more cheerleaders in the town of Sunnybrook.
First there was the car accidentātwo girls goneĀ after hittingĀ a tree on a rainy night. Not long after, the murders happened. Those two girls were killed by the man next door. The police shot him, so no one will ever know why he did it. Monicaās sister was the last cheerleader to die. After her suicide, Sunnybrook High disbanded the cheer squad.Ā No one wanted to be reminded of the girls they lost.
That was five years ago. Now the faculty and students at Sunnybrook High want to remember the lost cheerleaders. But for Monica, itās not that easy. She just wants to forget. Only, Monicaās world is starting to unravel. There are the letters in her stepdadās desk, an unearthed, years-old cell phone, a strange new friend at school. . . . Whatever happened five years ago isnāt over. Some people in town know more than theyāre saying. And somehow Monica is at the center of it all.
There are no more cheerleaders in Sunnybrook, but that doesnāt mean anyone else is safe.
The Lady’s Guide to Petticoats and Piracy (Montague Siblings #2) by Mackenzi Lee
Felicity Montague is through with pretending she prefers society parties to books about bone settingāor that sheās not smarter than most people she knows, or that she cares about anything more than her dream of becoming a doctor.
A year after an accidentally whirlwind tour of Europe, which she spent evading highwaymen and pirates with her brother Monty, Felicity has returned to England with two goals in mindāavoid the marriage proposal of Callum Doyle, a lovestruck suitor from Edinburgh; and enroll in medical school. However, her intellect and passion will never be enough in the eyes of the administrators, who see men as the sole guardians of science.
But then a small window of hope opens. Doctor Alexander Platt, an eccentric physician that Felicity idolizes, is looking for research assistants, and Felicity is sure that someone as forward thinking as her hero would be willing to take her on. However, Platt is in Germany, preparing to wed Felicityās estranged childhood friend Johanna. Not only is Felicity reluctant to opening old wounds, she also has no money to make the trip.
Luckily, a mysterious young woman is willing to pay Felicityās way, so long as sheās allowed to travel with Felicity disguised as her maid. In spite of her suspicions, Felicity agrees, but once the girlās true motives are revealed, Felicity becomes part of a perilous quest that will lead her from the German countryside to the promenades of Zurich to secrets lurking beneath the Atlantic.

I definitely agree with your Darker Shade of Magic prediction. It is definitely a five star read, but will likely feel like a 4 star after you read the second and third book, both of which are just epic. I still need to read Strange the Dreamer, but I definitely think it’s a 5 star read as well.
