It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week. It’s a great post to organise yourself. It’s an opportunity to visit and comment, and er… add to that ever growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye’s Blog and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date. And here we are!
Hi loves!, I hope you’re having a great start to the week, I know it is hard to start after the weekend, so from here, I send THE BEST ENERGIES 🌻 for you all !. Today I bring you the weekly meme “It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?”, which I love since it allows us to keep abreast of our recent and future readings, so without further ado let’s start!!
What I Read Last Week
Dream a Little Dream (Silber #1) by Kerstin Gier
Mysterious doors with lizard-head knobs. Talking stone statues. A crazy girl with a hatchet. Yes, Liv’s dreams have been pretty weird lately. Especially the one where she’s in a graveyard at night, watching four boys conduct dark magic rituals.
The strangest part is that Liv recognizes the boys in her dream. They’re classmates from her new school in London, the school where she’s starting over because her mom has moved them to a new country (again). But what’s really scaring Liv is that the dream boys seem to know things about her in real life, things they couldn’t possibly know–unless they actually are in her dreams? Luckily, Liv never could resist a good mystery, and all four of those boys are pretty cute….
Last month I had Goodreads choose my TBR and this was the last book I had left to read from that list. I’m so happy that Goodreads chose this book for me, in another way, maybe I never would have read it and it’s a lot of fun, I think that if you just want to have fun and have a great time with a light reading this is the perfect book. In my case, I was just finishing with a very heavy reading and I was afraid that that book would put me into a reading slump but luckily it didn’t happen and I think that this type of reading as Dream a Little Dream was exactly what I needed. I’m so glad because many of you have told me that maybe you try to read it, I really think you’ll enjoy it, it’s also a great way to start with the author if you haven’t read anything written by her yet.
I leave HERE my review in case you want to know more about my thoughts about it
What I’m Reading At Present
Frozen Tides (Falling Kingdoms #4) by Morgan Rhodes
Rebels, royals, and monsters wage war over the Mytican throne in the shocking fourth book of the Falling Kingdoms series, from New York Times bestselling author Morgan Rhodes.
CLEO: Reeling after a bloody showdown in Limeros ending with Amara’s abduction of the water crystal, and a vacancy in the Mytican throne, Princess Cleo must cast aside her feelings and look toward her kingdom with the eyes of a Queen.
MAGNUS: With the kingdom in chaos, Princess Lucia still missing and quite possibly in danger, and a shocking realization about Cleo, the steely prince is once again torn between love and duty, leaving him wondering whether he’s strong enough to rule his people.
LUCIA: The young sorcercess has had her vengeance after the cruel death of her first and only love. Heartbroken and unable to trust anyone, she allies with the awoken Fire god, who also seeks revenge.
JONAS: After escaping death by the skin of his teeth, the defeated rebel—along with a mysterious stranger–leader reunites with Princess Cleo, only to find himself a mere pawn in a dangerous hunt for the elusive Kindred.
KING GAIUS: Abandoned by Melenia and betrayed by his own children, Gaius flees Mytica and sails to Kraeshia, where he attempts to ally with the famously brutal emperor across the Silver Sea.
Of course, continuing with this incredible series, and I’m enjoying this book so much, it’s so easy to get back into this world and its system of magic and politics, I really love it. I love, as well, how Morgan Rhodes has that facility that every beginning of each book leaves you a little in shock, always revealing things you didn’t see coming at all and I also enjoy a lot that we know the history behind the evil characters, It’s really interesting.
I have a lot of feelings right now, especially now, because I go in a part where someone wants to hurt my babies and I’m worried about continuing reading lol
So far very good as usual and I’m excited to see what will happen
Up Next
I plan to read both books, I don’t know if I’ll read them at the same time or one at the time, I will really see at the moment how I feel like doing. I’m super excited for both and I can’t wait. The Sentinel’s Reign is the second book Silent Sea Chronicles, I loved the first book and it’s always a pleasure to support our independent authors. And as for Summer of Salt, honestly I can’t be more excited to read it, for some reason I’m hopping that this book is something like The Wicked Deep, the story sounds very interesting so I have great expectations
Clock Dance.

I just finished Scream and Scream Again! by RL Stine. It’s my first book by the author and I was pretty disappointed. I think I’d love it if I read it as a child but I just feel like I’ve outgrown it already. I’m about to start The Sea Witch, which is a Ursula retelling! 😀

I’m sorry to hear you disappointed! But I understand though. I hope you enjoy The Sea Witch !, I’ve heard great things, although I’m still not sure if I’ll read it, let me know what you think and maybe add it to my TBR 😊

I will absolutely be writing a review, but I’ll just go ahead and say that it is really really good and you should start reading it soon.
I knew that I would probably really like them so I waited for the whole trilogy to he out so I could marathon them if I chose to…and I probably will because I am flying through it.
I mean, And I Darken is 475 pages and I just started it yesterday, and I am almost finished already.

I was surprised at how quickly I got sucked into the story. I just wanted to keep reading about Lada and Radu.

I just finished reading Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi, and before that was Heart Berries by Terese Marie Mailhot. Both were gorgeous reads though very different from each other.
Next? Not sure as I need to post up reviews of those last two books. I’m leaning toward a reread of Lucky Boy by Shanthi Sekaran considering what’s happening at our southern border, but I also might dive into The Opposite House by Helen Oyeyemi.
