The (Birthday) Cake Book Tag πŸŽŠ

Copia de Copia de Copia de Copia de Copia de Copia de Copia de SPRINGTIME (1)

Hi guys, I hope you’re having a beautiful day, today I bring you a delicious book tag. I’m turning 24 years today, OMG, it feels so real when I say it lol and I’ve decided that for this day I wanted to do something fun for the blog and I found this Cake Book Tag, being honest this is not originally a birthday tag, but I’ve found it in Heather’s blog, The Sassy Book Geek and I saw how she had used it for her birthday and I loved the idea !, so I thought about doing the same. (Of course, check out her blog is great and also her answers for this tag!)
Sadly I don’t know who is the original creator of the tag, but if you know, please let me know in the comments to give him/her the credit it deserve.
I’m so excited to start with this, so without further ado, let’s do it!

I’ve been doing more tags this month than I did in a year lol, so I’ll be using different book options so I not always be using the same ones and make of this something more fun

CHOCOLATE CAKE
A dark book you absolutely love

I love this book, I would like more people to be talking about it because it really deserves it. Not only is dark, it also has a lot of mystery and intrigue, besides the writing style is super fluid which makes it ideal for reading at any time. If you like Pretty Litle Liars like me, I highly recommend this book. SO GOOD!

VANILLA CAKE
A light read

I know these books aren’t perfect, but they were the first books I read by Jenny Han, so they’re super special for me. Besides, being honest, I love these books, they’re quite cliches but omg, they’re too addictive, once you start you can’t stop reading. A lot of drama and romance and all those elements that make a good light reading

RED VELVET
A book that gave you mixed emotions

I have many mixed feelings towards this book, I think I gave it 4 stars which is fantastic, I really enjoyed it. It has incredible aspects, such as the writing style, the way in which the book is told between jumps from the past to the present (I love that), and especially the story in general is great and super emotional.
But on the other hand, I couldn’t stand the main character, and although I understood the situation he was going through I could never feel connected to him and there are many decisions that he makes which I don’t agree with. That in some way makes me feel conflicted with my emotions lol, but in general it’s a great book, I can see that

CHEESECAKE
A book you would recommend to anyone

I think that everyone can easily enjoy this book, and that’s why, and because I love it, that I can’t help but recommend it. It’s one of my favorite of all time, it has everything: from familiar themes to romance, identity search, diversity, tragedy and much more. It’s just PERFECT, you have to read it

COFFEE CAKE
A book you started but never finished

This is a beloved book that obviously had to try, but at the time it didn’t work for me, I guess I had problems with the format in which it was told, I felt that I couldn’t connect so easily, that and the fact that is Sci-Fi and I always have some problems with this genre. Even so, I would love to try another time, I know that book 3 will come out soon, so I think this year would be a good idea to give it another chance

CARROT CAKE
A book with great writing

If we’re talking about a beautiful writing style, then we talk about Laini Taylor, OMG this woman writes as a god. And obviously I mention Dauther of Smoke and Bone because it’s one of my favorite trilogies ever and I still don’t get over the wonderful way in which this story is told. If you haven’t read it yet, please do it, you’ll not regret it. Monsters and Magic find each other in this captivating & wonderfull book

TIRAMISU
A book that left you wanting more

I don’t think I should explain this one, right?! I adore this book, it’s fantastic but the end has left me in shock, I still can’t believe everything that has happened and this is just the first book. I really can’t wait to read the second to know how it will continue. I’m so happy to have read it, everyone says this , but I’ll do it as well: This book is incredible! The world is dark and captivating, the characters are so well created and the plot is genius.

CUPCAKES
A series with 4+ Book

I love this quartet, The Raven Boys is a genius in terms characters creation , I think if you want to read a great story with magical realism and diverse characters created perfectly, this is for you

FRUIT CAKE
A book that wasn’t what you anticipated

I remember when I decided to read this book, and I thought it would be just one more book, but it has touched me in the deepest part of my heart by putting it immediately on my favorites list. Don’t be fooled by its size, in such a few pages Nina LaCour tells an absolutely moving story, about a girl struggling to find herself and decide what she really wants for her life after losing a loved one. This book is much more powerful than I believed before reading it and has surprised me in a good way

I hope you enjoyed the tag, I would love to see everyone try it at some point, it’s fun and if you like cake, eve better!!, it’s ideal for you lol
