Exciting NetGalley Approved!

Copia de SPRINGTIME (4)

Hi Amores !, how are you ?, I hope very well, today I got up very excited to show you my latest ARCs approved via NetGalley, actually yesterday I’ve been approved with the following titles but I haven’t had the time to share it with you and I really wanted to do it, I think they aren’t very well known titles, even so, I think you might be interested once you know more about them and thus enlarge your probably endless TBRs, so without further ado, Let’s start!

The Breathless by Tara Goedjen

(October 10th 2017)

29543144No one knows what really happened on the beach where Roxanne Cole’s body was found, but her boyfriend, Cage, took off that night and hasn’t been seen since. Until now. One year—almost to the day—from Ro’s death, when he knocks on the door of Blue Gate Manor and asks where she is.

Cage has no memory of the past twelve months. According to him, Ro was alive only the day before. Ro’s sister Mae wouldn’t believe him, except that something’s not right. Nothing’s been right in the house since Ro died.

And then Mae finds the little green book. The one hidden in Ro’s room. It’s filled with secrets—dangerous secrets—about her family, and about Ro. And if what it says is true, then maybe, just maybe, Ro isn’t lost forever.

And maybe there are secrets better left to the dead.

The main and only thing you need to know about this book is: “For fans of the dark family secrets of We Were Liars and the page-turning suspense of The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer.” YEAH!, you’ve seen well, this book matches two of my favorite books and I can’t describe you how excited I’m to read it! YAY !!

Odd & True by Cat Winters

(September 12th 2017)

28078791Trudchen grew up hearing Odette’s stories of their monster-slaying mother and a magician’s curse. But now that Tru’s older, she’s starting to wonder if her older sister’s tales were just comforting lies, especially because there’s nothing fantastic about her own life—permanently disabled and in constant pain from childhood polio.

In 1909, after a two-year absence, Od reappears with a suitcase supposedly full of weapons and a promise to rescue Tru from the monsters on their way to attack her. But it’s Od who seems haunted by something. And when the sisters’ search for their mother leads them to a face-off with the Leeds Devil, a nightmarish beast that’s wreaking havoc in the Mid-Atlantic states, Tru discovers the peculiar possibility that she and her sister—despite their dark pasts and ordinary appearances—might, indeed, have magic after all.

I’m in that moment that I feel that I really want to read more Historical Fiction, is a genre which it costs me a little familiarize with, but then I saw this book and the incredible and original that sounds, with all the fantasy and the paranormal elements and I think It will be something that I could enjoy, suiper excited!

No Good Deed by Kara Connolly

( July 18th 2017)

32766757Fans of Dorothy Must Die will love this reimagining of the legend of Robin Hood. Girl power rules supreme when a modern girl finds herself in the middle of a medieval mess with only her smart mouth and her Olympic-archer aim to get her home.

Ellie Hudson is the front-runner on the road to gold for the U.S. Olympic archery team. All she has to do is qualify at the trials in jolly old England. When Ellie makes some kind of crazy wrong turn in the caverns under Nottingham Castle—yes, that Nottingham—she ends up in medieval England.

Ellie doesn’t care how she got to the Middle Ages; she just wants to go home before she gets the plague. But people are suffering in Nottingham, and Ellie has the skills to make it better. What’s an ace archer to do while she’s stuck in Sherwood Forest but make like Robin Hood?

Pulled into a past life as an outlaw, Ellie feels her present fading away next to daring do-gooding and a devilishly handsome knight. Only, Ellie is on the brink of rewriting history, and when she picks up her bow and arrow, her next shot could save her past—or doom civilization’s future.

I think this book will be a kind of Robin Hood retelling ,but the main character will be a girl, I think there are Time Travel elements or something like that , I’m super interested in reading it, I think it will be fun and it’s an adventure that I sure want to be part

Have you heard of any of these books?

  1. I have a request in on NetGalley for No Good Deed, so fingers crossed that I can get approval. Also, Odd & True sounds fairly intriguing. Sadly, after bringing home over 40 ARCs from BookExpo and BookCon, my reading schedule is a bit packed for the next few months, so I might just settle for adding Odd & True to my to-read list for a later time.

  2. I got approved for Odd & True as well. I technically shouldn’t have been on NetGalley (I’ve been on an ARCs ban, but it was late and I wasn’t thinking clearly), but I’ve really enjoyed Cat Winters other novels, so I’m pretty stoked to read this one. Have you read any of her novels?
